Icon just looks amazing! I can’t wait to start booking on her! Going to have to try and book a suit onboard as I never really booked one before on Royal Caribbean. Always gotten a normal balcony cabin. Excited to see more on Icon soon!
Hi Joseph, how incredible is Icon of the Seas. I expected a lot from Royal Caribbean and they delivered. Can't wait to book next week, but I can only imagine how high the pricing will be.
My favorite video of Icon of the Seas! Straight to the point, no excessive talking, just making the renderings speak for itself. What a beautiful ship, can’t wait!
Excellent video Chris! You really did an outstanding job previewing this new ship! I keep wondering if anyone will even want to disembark the ship at Ports of Call with so much to do and enjoy onboard! Lol! I remember seeing the Oasis of the Seas at Port Canaveral for the 1st time and thinking that is about as big as cruise ships will ever get. Not anymore! This ship just dwarfs all other cruise ships in size and tonnage! The US Navy Ford class aircraft carrier will look a little puny next to this cruise ship!
Hi The River Pirate 13, thanks for watching and your nice comments. Good point you make about not wanting to leave the ship, also likely why the itineraries are not too exciting, at least for seasoned cruisers like myself. Unless I have a specific purpose or something I want to see, I book a ship like this for the ship itself.
@@TalkingCruise Agreed Chris! My next cruise (RCCL Independence of the Seas) that includes a stop in Nassau Bahamas I am only disembarking to grab some particular rums that aren't sold here in the US. I'll head right back to the ship! I want to enjoy the ship as long as possible!
If we ever get the tech to travel to the stars I hope they give a contract to these builders to build the starship. Cruiser liner or ship to the stars? Either way I could live onboard for years and enjoy my time there. Amazing ship. Great coverage.
Will they be sailing with a full ship when they hit the waters or work their way to a full ship. If they do not have a full ship to begin - do you know when they start with the full ship?
Hi Mary Ann, thanks for watching. If you believe the hype, Royal Caribbean announced they just had the busiest booking day in their 53 year history directly related to the opening of Icon of the Seas. So yes, Icon of the Seas will sail full, even at the extreme pricing they started with.
Hi Hunter, thanks for watching. It is quite a bit bigger than the current largest cruise ship Wonder of the Seas. Royal Caribbean has had several competitors nipping at their heels building larger and larger ships, so I guess they wanted to create more space to hold onto the title for at least another decade.
I don't want to criticise, because everyone has a different opinion, but I would still be interested to know what else about this floating thing looks like a ship?
Hi Nürnberg Express, thanks for watching. It has a bow, aft and floats on the water, is that enough of a ship? 😀 Seriously though, Icon of the Seas is targeted directly at families.
No plans whatsoever! ICON is way too busy and too convoluted. It's one big cup of espresso! Highly over stimulating. I don't see that true cruise feel especially in my age group. I cruise for a combination of relaxation and entertainment. This is non-stop entertainment AND no solarium?!?!?! No way. It's for someone, just not for me.
Hi Gifted Hippo Music presents YORUBA, thanks for watching. Icon of the Seas is obviously focused on family cruising and I think most families will love it. The solarium has been incorporated into the forward section of the AquaDome. You'll probably enjoy one of the Quantum class ships more.
@@TalkingCruise Hey Chris!!!! I'm an Oasis OTS fan so perhaps Wonder OTS will be next. I'm looking forward to sailing a Quantum class ship as well as Freedom. Thanks for the great content.
Hi D. Shae, thanks for watching. Icon of the Seas should be no different in handling weather than any of the other cruise ships, but anything too rough, they would likely reposition or sail around it.
Awesome preview video Chris, as usual! Truly looking forward to seeing more in the near future. This ship has SO much to do and see that it will take a 'back to back' cruise to get it all done! Something that would be very doable with their alternating eastern/western Caribbean itineraries! Will certainly be hitting the booking engine on RC's website come Monday and start planning something for the 2nd half of 2024!
Hi Richard, thanks for watching. Well, it is the biggest in the world, but I understand, the massive ships are not for everyone. I used to feel that way, but Oasis class grew on me (pun intended) over the years, now they are my favorites.
Hi Hade De La Caridad Robinson, thanks for watching. Yes, all guests can book starting next Tuesday October 25, but Crown & Anchor members get to book one day early on October 24th.
@@TalkingCruise I absolutely love your content I don't know if you go live at all on UA-cam but I would love to join you on a live to talk about this and maybe you know Cruise media because I think that the travel industry and media is changing it used to be you know the sights The Sounds the Wonders but now it's more about the experience and I would love to jump on live video with you weekly can we make this happen
Hi Matt, thanks for watching. Icon of the Seas will truly not be for everyone, but that's why there are so many other choices from Royal Caribbean or other cruise lines.
Great and best Icon preview Positively. Where will Icon be coming from before reaching docking in homeport Miami? That is a sailing I'd like to book plus first two sailings..
Hi Ambient Mopar, Thanks for your comments. They've only announced the 7 night Caribbean itineraries starting with January 27, 2024. There may be other shorter preview cruises before then and possibly a transatlantic, but that time of year is not typical for those crossings, at least with guests onboard.
Hi Jose, thanks for watching. First published sailing will be January 27, 2024, but I suspect there may be a few earlier sailings aded. Itineraries are the same old 7 night eastern and Western Caribbean from Miami, which includes stops at Honduras, Mexico, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Perfect Day at CocoCay. Booking open tomorrow (10/24/22) for Crown and Anchor members and for everyone else on (10/25/22).
This ship sure has alot more content than any other cruise ships, too bad im an extreme Carnival fan as im platinum, as a guy who loves big ships the Mardi Gras Class ships are great enough for alot of contents! Thanks for sharing this video :) Love your content even the intro!
Hi R160AExpress, thanks for watching. I get that you are a fan of Carnival, they offer a lot of great things, but perhaps take a moment to explore other cruise lines.
I saw some lifeboats in the animation but it would be interesting to see an overview of the safety features on this ship. There's a whole lot of passengers and crew to take care of. Though I would say sticking to the Caribbean makes me think in event of an emergency there would be plenty of other ships that could come to its assistance?
Do you plan to book a cruise on Icon of the Seas? Let us know in the comments.
Ye
Yes at least 2 the ship is so huge I won’t be able to see everything on a 7 day sailing
What is the name of the intro and outro song
Wishing and planning on Icon bookings. A Question where will icon be sailing from to reach Miami??? And how many days is that sailing???.

Hi Matthew, I'm very impressed with how Royal Caribbean keeps one-upping themselves, let alone the rest of the cruise industry.

They should make a commercial singing Icon of the Seas to the tune of Islands in the Stream.
Hi mspinchey, thanks for watching.
Big and beautiful. It’s gonna be great!
Hi J. Arendash, thanks for watching. I agree, love everything about Icon of the Seas so far.
This ship is beautiful! Hope to sail The Icon of the Seas in 2025.
