What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

as a customer i would be pretty annoyed by this
But yea mostly for the reason that people dont really talk that much in a customer buisiness situation and stuttering would just increase the duration i'd have to listen to a stranger. Here you just say Hi and what you want and they say hi, give you what you asked for you thank each other and say bye. thats like not even 10 words per interaction. Americans tell you there lifestory when you want to buy something >.>

@@tupacshakur5868 its never that easy. as someone who stutters myself (and works in retail), i have a hard time even starting sentences sometimes. its extremely frustrating and embarrassing not being able to speak freely, and even more frustrating when the person i’m trying to speak to has no patience. so no, “here, just say this” doesn’t fix anything. people like you just need more patience in life and compassion for people.

    • @tupacshakur5868
      @tupacshakur5868 Рік тому

@@nicolecherry-carter5153 i understand that and i have my own struggles, but you can fix this issue by chosing a profession that does not require spoken language related skills. Its not the customers fault. If it would be the other way around, lets say im the waiter and my customer is struggling to speak, then you can expect all the patience and kindness necessary. But if im the customer and my waiter stutters like crazy when im in a rush then i will interrupt you midsentence with a "no thank you" and im out. It is absolutely not reasonable to expect everyone in every situation to put up with this, it hurts i know.

Wimsem - Tekenen & Knutselen While that’s true, King Speech was based off of a true story and people who watched it knew that the stutter was the entire point of the making the movie because he was afraid of stuttering while speaking to the people or whoever and thought it’d make him seem lesser of a human, when in reality those defects and disabilities are exactly what makes us so human.

I'm a stutterer myself and seeing this made me cry. I've gone through a lot of speech therapy to mostly overcome it, but I still deal with it sometimes. I've been ridiculed so much for it that now whenever I start stuttering I just give up trying to talk and let people think I'm being rude. Because that's better to me than risking being ridiculed

I'm a light autistic person. I was stuttering too due to lack of social skills.
In the middle of my teenage, I found out I was very cute and got popular (out of nowhere really) and I didn't know how to handle all that sweet attention.
I got a special form of dyslexia cuz of my condition. So when I talk or read, my brain sometimes create anagrams instantly (I switch all the letter's order to create another sentence or words).
So I can play with letters and numbers like a weird awesome computer but man i'm 32yo and I'm sometimes still strugling with these skills.
I'm well now, you gotta have people around you that don't give a shit about your weakness. Confidence will come later and the weakness will fade a lil bit.
Trust yourself. I hope you'll have a happy life dude.

I have a stuttering problem and can relate to this.
My cousin and her friends used to laugh at me when I spoke because I would repeat it or it won't even come out. It made me cry because no one would want to play with me, I would always get told “ Why are you talking so fast? ” or “Are you in a rush? ” I hurt me, I ended up teaching myself to talk after my friends laughed at me. I still stutter once and a while I got better at talking and even won awards for doing speeches and reading.
I'm proud of myself for not letting this come between things I love. I've been the best reader for 7 years in the school and I'm only 13.

That went on - he was alwways warned by the cops ...once me and the gang even beat him for what he did on one of the ill persons ...however
years went on and he had a child with his GF at the time - I think you know where this is going
By the age of 5 it was already known that his child would be retarded - now I don't say it is a good thing that that happen - it's awfull to happen on your most loved one, however as mentioned - you reap - you sow

Cassandra Yang I have OCD and when I was preparing for huge auditions for college I developed a psychosomatic stutter as a coping mechanism. It was about as bad as the gentleman in the video.
People were so mean. They thought I was faking it and it was so hard to deal with. I still occasionally slip into it when I’m really upset. But for the duration of the stutter I went home and cried practically every night. People treated me like I was stupid.
When people would cut me off and not finish it was even more frustrating.
People with stutters are not unintelligent. They just have to work harder to get things out.

Even at the age of 25, whenever I get into any sorts of disagreements with anyone, be it at office or anywhere else, I always loose bcoz my stutter increases ten fold when I'm under stress.
