- Music from the game that played second fiddle to Street Fighter, Vampire Savior/Darkstalkers 3. This is Lord Raptor's (Zabel in Japan) and Victor von Gerdenheim's theme. I think Darkstalkers has, like, the most characters with changed names out of any fighting game. Anyway, this theme...I don't like it. It fits Victor a little bit because of the metal sounds. As for Raptor, nah. This song is pretty boring, and doesn't go well with these characters in my opinion.
I don't use Lord Raptor or Victor. I have fought Victor a few times, and I thought that his big-ass smack move was kinda silly. Victor looks a little bit like The Incredible Hulk.
For some reason I never get to fight Raptor. My friend doesn't use him, either. I can't rate Raptor. All I know is that his fighting stance is really retarded. And his U.S. name is lame compared to Zabel.
The creators of this game are genious.

In my humble opinion, this track sounds like it could have been in Street Fighter Alpha 3. It has that "hard edge" sound that the majority of the Alpha 3 tracks had.

To me, the street fighter alpha 3 soundtrack all sounds generic and the tracks sound too similar to each other. Because of this, I can't tell many of the themes apart and they are less memorable.

Well my good friend Jalen66, if you want an opinion of Zabel a fellow player of DarkStalkers will tell you. Zabel gameplay is focused around the fact that he can stretch his limbs pretty fucking far, and if you dig deep you'll see that he is a re-shaped Dhalsim, just like Victor is a re-shaped Zangief, with many options on attacks in the air and teleports. His stance... yeah is like watching someone spam... but his movements are really well animated and creative. If you want to know more ask.
this has always been one of my favorites as well....
this should have been Bret Hart's WCW theme.
The crazy part is that I can see him coming out to this in WCW.

I love this BGM, but yes--not very fitting for Zabel. Zabel belongs to "Iron Horse, Iron Terror. Q-Bee belongs to "Green Scream". And Iron Horse should've had more of a "rock" theme to it.

Fits Victor not Raptor/Zabel
For me, its the other way around, I think it fits Zabel more than Victor (especially when it gets to 0:57. I don't find it the slightest bit fitting for Victor except when he walks backwards, and that's about it. I personally thought War Agony suits him a bit better.
I gotta be honest though, I don't think most of the stage songs in this game fit *anybody* that much since almost everyone has to share stages with one another instead of get their own individual ones. A lot of them also feel too slow to catch up to Savior's fast-paced fighting action, and I feel that all of them feel out of place for a fighting game except: Fetus of God, Iron Horse Iron Terror, Feast of the Damned, and Revengers' Roost (which was only in Vampire Savior 2 and a few ports, which was Japan only)
Considering Raptor is pretty evil and Victor is more just a big kid wanting to keep his family safe, I disagree.
@@Funkermonsterco Honestly, Alpha 3's music was kind of the same way, fitting the stage more than the character, but in all honesty, such music I feel deserves more respect.

That would potentially make it sound too much like Raptor's themes from the first to Darkstalkers games and it would only fit Raptor who is wild, Victor isn't. And personally, I don't agree with Jalen at all.
I think it does fit Raptor since it is still technically Metal Music, and his story titles him as the "God of Metal", even if it isn't fast paced. It doesn't fit him as much as his previous themes though.
Victor, nah, War Agony fit him better (the descriptions for the stages are not accurate).
This is also one of my favorites in the game.
Funkermonster agree about Victor, but Forever Torment is actually his theme. If you'll play Darkstalkers Chronicle: Chaos Tower and pick DS3-style Victor and then choose Chaos Tower as your stage (it plays characters' themes since the stage itself doesn't have one), you'll notice that Forever Torment will start playing.
Funkermonster Though I never played it myself, considering how Chaos Tower is mostly just a remake of Vampire Savior, Vampire Hunter 2, and Vampire Savior 2 (with fighting styles from all 5 games) instead of the original arcade version, I honestly wouldn't count that.
In the original Arcade version and Ressurection port, the game uses Stage themes instead of character ones, and characters don't really have their own themes since most of them have to share stages with one another. The only ones who don't have to share are Bishamon, Anakaris, Oboro Bishamon (or really just the music, stage is still the same as normal Bishamon), and Jedah. I dunno about Revengers' Roost, but I heard its shared by Donovan, Phobos, and Pyron.

And I think I remember once fighting Victor in Red Thirst, Anakaris' stage.
In his case, Victor can be fought in not one, but 2 stages: War Agony AND Forever Torment, though I find myself fighting him in War Agony Slightly more often because Raptor sometimes occupies Torment first before he does.
I gotta be honest though: My Opinion:
Vampire Savior: Better game
Vampire Hunter: Better Music
This is just me, but I find that most of the songs in VS are very slow paced and the rhythm isn't quick enough to catch up to the fast-paced action happening in front of the background (its faster than Darkstalkers 2 and Street Fighter at least). A few of the songs don't even sound like fighting game music at all imo and sound too peaceful to be in a horror-themed game, especially of the fighting genre. Green Scream, Forever Torment, War Agony (sounds depressing, but not fight-worthy), Revengers' Roost, Tower of Arrogance, and especially Vanity Paradise (imo the worst song in the game) are perfect examples of this. Of all songs in the game, the only ones I find to have the perfect rhythm speed are Feast of the Damned, Iron Horse Terror, and Fetus of God. Everything else is a little too slow for my tastes and don't compliment the game's fast-paced action.
If you play Darkstalkers Ressurection on Xbox Live and fight a guy in Ranked Matches who almost always picks Fetus of God (or actually completely always), then it's likely that you have fought me.

This themes are official ones for those chars because Chaos Tower doesn't have it's own theme, but plays player 1 chars' theme in training mode.
Yoshikage Kira Playing a theme for the char you play from a certain stage doesn't necessarily make it "official", especially not when Chaos Tower is simply just a compliation of VS, VH2, and VS2 (with game style from all 5 games) and doesn't count as a different game. With everyone actually sharing stages with one another, there really is no "official theme". Maybe if there's a character who doesn't share his/her stage with anyone else (such as Jedah or Oboro Bishamon), but other than that such a term is non-existant. The original Vampire Savior also came yeeeears before Chaos Tower and back then, No Chaos Tower Stage there :) Plus in Darkstalkers Ressurection, Chaos Tower was completely ignored and that stage is not present since its based only on the original arcade versions (damn.. why didn't they make it a little modern?)
If there was a theme I would really consider "official", I would rather go with the stage music from the first 2 Darkstalkers Games instead of the 3rd one and its Japan-exclusive updates (except for the characters who only appear in the 3rd game). No one has to share a stage with anyone and it was their original song after all. If they were to make a fourth DS game (not gonna happen anytime soon though, if ever at all), would you really imagine Victor and Zabel both getting the same song yet again?
In MvC3; Morrigan, Felicia, and Hsien-Ko all had their theme songs remixed from Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge instead of the ones in Darkstalkers 3, probably because the game used stage themes, not character themes. So I would image most everyone else getting their Night Warriors themes remixed as well, instead of remixing the Ds3 ones. The only exceptions are Jedah, Demitri (whose DS3 is remix of the previous 2 games), Q-Bee, Bulleta, and Lilith.
But my point still stands. Even if Forever Torment is Victor's Offical Theme, I still don't find it find it fitting for him at all.
