Battle of the Planets, G Force, GATCHAMAN, Eagle Riders....no matter how u look at it, its an awesome series!!! Thanks Alex for your breathtaking paintings!
I have a print autographed by Alex Ross..G-Force Battle Of The Planets was one of the first things I remember in my existence along with Sesame Street and etc...The pictures are so incredible ! Alex Ross captured the essence of that show like no one else can. Alex Ross is an absolute credit to his profession and one of the greatest comic book artists in the existence of the comic book industry hands down.
@:31 Have that print, signed by Alex Ross.... remember racing home afterschool to see the reruns of this on TV. Yeah, didn't realize till later on in life how chopped up and sanitized it was for American consumption. But boy did this cartoon give me a thrill... still does. Thanks for your rendition.
I was too excited with your Battle of the planets work and was convinced " NO MATTER THE PROJECT...IF ALEX IS INVOLVED...IT WILL BE GLORIOUS!" I know its obvious NOW, but consider he's doing a classic anime series and still brings out its sprrit!!
Because *Imagi Studios* got fucked to death by a terrible financial state, and when *Astro Boy* flopped at the box office, the entire studio faced death and then *Gatchaman* & *T28* went down with the studio.
I did not like this at all. Anime, and its exaggeration of human forms does not lend itself to Mr. Ross' signature "realistic" style. It's the nature of the beast...
He did an incredible job. A wonderful homage to a classic series. Perfection.

Astro Boy, Speed Racer & G Force. First anime experiences for me and was hooked ever since. You captured the look and energy of Gatchaman.
I love this artwork and artbook. It's one of my prized possessions when it comes to artbooks
The only "one minute' videos I watch on the internet.

ALEX ROSS: Do you remember Filmations "Space Sentinels" ?
Came out about a year before BotP ?
Why has nobody tried to make this into a movie ?
Because *Imagi Studios* got fucked to death by a terrible financial state, and when *Astro Boy* flopped at the box office, the entire studio faced death and then *Gatchaman* & *T28* went down with the studio.
Gatchaman
Awesome!!!
Alex, did you ever watch a Filmation series called "The Space Sentinels" ?
Please tell me you're working on the Ultraman book.
❤
Superb! I want a print.
Do you think you would ever do a dragon ball piece?
Estaría bien que hiciera s los silver hawks!
I prefer Gatchaman
Because "War of the Worlds" was already taken. Lol.
