Looking forward to introduce Calculus to my daughter through your video. Generations of students will be indebted to you. Words cannot fully express my ‘Thank you’.
Thanks @Devarati! It sounds like your daughter is in good hands.
Yo man i am 14 and You made me intrested in science and maths and understanding calculus and TR
That's fantastic! You gave me a boost for the day! I think you can learn anything you want for free online. I'm so glad you are taking advantage of your opportunities. With self-directed motivation you can learn anything and go far. Best wishes and good luck with your studies!
Omgg, I watched your trigonometry visualized video like, 4 years ago. I have now passed 12th grade and finished Calculas 1. I still use the concepts and flashcards you taught in trigo. Thank you so much for your hard work
Brilliant. When I was a student many many years ago, I never understood why the derivative of cos x was a NEGATIVE sin x, your ilustration shows why perfectly (you're never too old to learn).... many thanks.
30 seconds in, I like it. Some people need these subjects visually explained. I'm one of those people. You make it click. Subscribed. Thank you!
😭Dennis always has what I'm desperately looking for but always lack to find (especially on UA-cam)🙏😭God truly does know my heart!!
One of the best Calculus videos EVER. Crispy Clear!
Perfect explanation, much better than many professors that I know. There are making it to complicated and typical not practical.
This is an amazing video, so much is clicking and the color coding makes it easy to track and avoid confusion!! Thank you very much!
"Modern math lectures need to learn these teaching techniques. Wow, you made world students proud that we have Dennis F. Davis!"
This is so good it's tragic, I could have been in an entirely different career if I had had such a clear teacher as yourself some 30+ years ago. What a marvelous video that will elucidate the many minds out there looking for such explanation your guidance will alter the course of many persons understanding and in some small way change their lives via the confidence they glean from this video.
great Dennis
being on the same side of the coin your initial enrichment of the topic is highly recommended and commendable .
Most videos start with these slices of an area under a slope and then making them smaller and smaller and then...calculus formulas! That's really frustrating.
I'm so glad you did the slope calculation with a width of h step by step and came up with the derivative for a parabola, as if you were inventing it for the first time.
I'll watch the rest of the video later. I want to savor this eureka moment first.
Just amazing work! This is one of the most useful and beautiful tutorials I have ever seen. I know how long it took to make this video. Be proud of yourself for making one of the most impressive videos I have ever seen. I wish my tutorials were 1/2 as good.
Holy cow Derek I think your videos are just as good and you have so many covering such a wide variety of topics! In fact, I just subscribed.
You must know a lot more than I do.
You humble me, thank you for your kind words.
Thank you for the video Dennis, I will update you after I take Calculus in the fall. I am not so afraid of failing now. I love how well this video is organized and will definitely use it to supplement what we learn in class. I pray you will always be safe and that you take care of yourself as well so you can make it to retirement and be an amazing and inspiring professor.
Yes I'd like to hear how you do!
Literally & figuratively showing How & Why form, function and action are symbolically spoken. Removing an occulted memorization of formulated equation "answers" of random text book test examples. Dennis' method divines the whole shebang of a movie plot, easier to remember and recall.
Thank you Dennis, just so brilliantly understandable, esthetically insightfull, pleasing and interesting, the way you explain the principles, it captures the mind to enable beter understanding. Thank you dearly for sharing your knowledge, in a calm collective manner.
Thanks Dennis for the immense job you've shared. The explanation and combination of other things to give this output is absolutely nothing short of hardwork. Thanks for engineering it all!
Amazing to gave you back! Your trig course was a masterclass in education + presentation; I still go back to it. I am so looking forward to completing this video course,
this video is absolutely incredible. all of differential calculus done in 1 hour 40 mins!! the visual explanations are so helpful!! You, Sir, are a genius!!
I literally just finished Calc 1 which made me prepared for Calc 1. I am redoing it for my own prep for Physics snd Calc 2. I needed to "see" this so badly, so thanks!!
Wish I had this twenty years ago. Excellent presentation. Thank you.
Along all calculus YT videos i've watched, this is the most intuitive one. Thank you so much po sir! From Philippines
This (My deepest respects) teacher here is the best Calculus teacher I have ever come across in my entire life... He deserves an honorary PHD... Or is he already a PHD???
If you have difficulty understanding calculus, watch this video, it is really something really enlightening, even for the most recalcitrant. You are not going to become a champion, certainly not, but you will have a vision, literally and figuratively, of what calculus is and what it can be used for. Also, at the end, say thank you to mister Dennis F. Davis. Thank you, mister Dennis F. Davis 😃
What an excellent high value video. We are grateful to you for your time, effort and passion sir!!!!
I finished your trig series a few weeks ago. You are godsent! Thank you for this.
I've been bingeing the Trigo series last year. I don't know how to thank you enough for covering Calculus! Thank you so much for this Sir Dennis!
I love this kind of vid. When i was in high school i wish this type of videos exist so i can understand under the hood of math and physic, and now as a 3rd year comp sci undergraduate i get the privilege watching this as i am retaking my cals class😂. Thank you very much sir
I often attempt to explain things to my friends, but you, sir, have mastered it! I appreciate it; this will be immensely helpful to me next semester. Your teaching talent is remarkable. In my opinion, it's the best I've ever encountered.
It sounds like you're a great friend. Thanks for the kind words!
An smart man doing something really helpful for a lot pf people. Mad respect!
This video is amazing! Wish my math professors explained it like this! Same for the math books!
Thanks! That is great. It is exactly what regular teaching at schools and collages lack - constant graphical representation.
I'm a student at a kenyan University and this is better than two of my professors
You made me understand Calculus in english, even my teachers couldn't make me understand Calculus to me in my native language .
Can you please make a similar video on Vector Algebra? It will be really helpful for my engineering entrance exam preparation of JEE.
That is an amazing video, You created a masterpiece ! We all thank you for your teaching Sir 🫡
Dennis, this is an excellent content. I am starting a masters in engineering which will include some courses where calculus will be used and I needed a refresher. Now I need to practice! Thanks!
This is the best video explaining calculus I have ever seen. Truly incredible!
Thank you for the this video that you shared. You are really a gift for this selfless effort, that students and everyone who yearn and understand calculus in the most practical approach. May God bless you always....
Hello! Thank you so much for both this and your trigonometry series. They helped me so much with my high school. I am indebted to you. Please consider continuing this series and making on Liner algebra in particular.I understand that you are working a job and hence busy, but please never stop making these vedios in your free time. Thanks again.
Hello! I’m an engineering undergraduate and I used to dislike math a lot. But because of your videos and the way you deliver with visual representation makes me love it. Thank you very much. Hope you would upload the other parts of calculus course as well
Wow, I hope you learn to love math because an engineering student who dislikes math will be unhappy.
I am so glad to have this video for reference when helping my daughter with her homework since I've forgotten most of this material after over a decade of having graduated from college.
Really impressive presentation and exposition on calculus. Anyone can have a good understanding of calculus basics. Thank you.
Most difficult thing to do is make things simple and this video did it extremely well. I watched this after 20 years of learning calculus and everything just made sense now. One request is, you have the class of problems which is solved by differentiation in the middle. If this can be made as introduction, it would help on why we need to learn this question.
This is an incredible resource. Thank you so much for dedicating the time and effort to make this happen for us to need more visual approach. I understood things incredibly easy and I was struggling so hard for something so simple it's almost funny. Thank you again ❤
This is perhaps one of the most useful videos I have ever seen!!!!! 100K thanks Mr Dennis!
