I would like to give a big shout out to Diatone. I had some trouble getting a Mamba stack to work. Their customer service was second to none, all queries answered fast with great information. I highly recommend Diatone.
li-on packs suck bad in the cold! I just made my first li-on flight packs out of some Sanyo ur18650zy cells rated for 2600mah and they were worse in EVERY way comparing them back to back to some RDQ 1100mah 50c 3s HV packs in some 30F degree weather. I tested them on an iflight dc3 frame with the flywoo explorer motors and HQ 3.1x3x4 props. I ran the 3s HV down to 10.1v upon landing in 9'02" pack came back to 11.2v resting, coincidentally the li-on 4s pack ran for 9'02" but was at full throttle upon landing at 10v; pack came back to 14.5v resting. I ran a second identical li-on pack down to 11.8v landing in 8'32" that pack came back to 14.6v, and I'm like, li-on packs don't belong on a 3in quad in winter time... PS the 3s pack would cruze faster and could actually do limited acro.
I'm going to have to start buying bnf quads. I bought an EZ Pilot to start learning on. Then bought a Tinyhawk Freestyle 2 and then a Tinyhawk 2. After that I've just been building. Built 5 so far and working on a 6th.
This is what I wanted first but I couldn't find a controller or goggles. I ended up buying from flywoo their cinerace 20 with controller and goggles. I like the idea of this sub 250 and relatively long flight time. Coming from my first drone, a DJI Mini 2, this roma l3 or the cinerace 20 makes sense as my first fpv. I also like the fact that its basically 2 aircraft for the price of 1 all by changing out the propellers. As always great video and information. Mahalo for sharing
like it really much, im building a 3inch for cruising, i have added the gps and currently i have the mamba 1408 4000 kv motor 12mm mount motor, those 1206 are 9 or 12 mm mount?
Very nice footage 👍 looks so smooth. Can't decide...roma L3 or roma L4? I have a BT 220 gps unit lying at home so I can add it myself. But what's nicer format?
Can you please help me? i have this drone and from what i seen in other videos, ppl can fly 100's of yards away. i was wondering how bc i cant even get 75 ft away and start losing signal on Analog. VTX unlocked, even swapped antenna on drone and tried with different goggles from my own, no change. im getting frustrated because out the box ive had troubles with this. Goggles say im on 200W, Betaflight as well im just lost
So I'm new to long range. I've been converting a crux3.5. Bigger antennas. 1000mw ELRS module. Bigger ELRS T antenna. I've always flown it with 550mah lipos. I feel like that will be my bottleneck. How do I know how big of a battery I can use? Is the higher MAH batteries safe to use? Can't seem to find the information out there for it. Happymodel suggests maximum of 4s 1100 mah. But I want to know why and what would be best.
@rilijn I got 14 minutes cruising. Did decent for a micro long range. Nothing crazy but impressive for what it was. No issues with video or RX. If you could ditch the vista and go with something lighter you would get even more flight time.
Hello, I purchased a Diatone L3 HD runcam split nano. I had zero any luck connecting my Spektrum 4650 micro receiver to it. The wires are soldered black to negative, red to 5v, and brown to the uninverted tx pad (I even tried the RC pad). I am not getting any input in the receiver tab on beta flight. I have uart one for serial rx, and IRC tramp uart two in peripheral‘s. Receiver mode is serial based receiver (speksat,s....) and the serial receiver provider is SRXL2. I wound up trying a different receiver a newbee drone dsmx, i soldered the signal wire to RC pad. It bound and worked, unfortunately the quad flew about 50 feet away and my goggles lost reception and the drone fell to the ground. It happened twice. I think either failsafe or its resetting itself. Can you please tell me what you think is going on ? Any help is appreciated Thank you
I'm moving twads micros anyway. Parts are chearper and i can fly it in my yard and at the park without any trouble. 5 in is fun but a lot of work and money
I have the Ciro 4 and it’s a dream to fly. Tune is spot on and Freddie is on the spot to assist in any way. My Roma 3 is giving me some drift issues. Not sure what’s going on.
Question for General Public has anyone ever been stopped by a police or anyone of legal Authority and they've pulled out a scale and weighed your quad has anyone ever had this happen I asked cuz I really don't care about the weight limits and restrictions iFly where it's safe I'm in the US but I always hear people freaked out about this 250 g weight limit so my only question is has anyone ever actually been stopped and had someone stick their quad on a scale???
Hi! I live in Europe and I'm starting fpv but I'm asking myself the same question! I really don't see policemen coming to me with a scale asking if they can weight my drone! I would probably more see them give me a fine because I'm in a location that is forbidden to fly. Which, with the new regulations is approximately EVERYWHERE! So the question I'm really asking myself is should I comply with anything the government asks me to comply with? I guess the only safe thing these days is to fly a whoop while staying safe in your apartment. And just let the government tell you when you're allowed to out! That's the best thing to do no matter what weight your quad is.
And 3 go to a rc club and fly there.the chip will relay all information on where you are flying and if you are doing something wrong you will be notified for the wrong doing and possibly be fined ...so if you have checked out the new rules that came out..which are called the final rules ..looks like the hobby is going to be nomore
I've noticed a trend with long range quads...besides being 250g and under what is the purpose?...fact is I can't even afford a normal quad and the equipment for fpv...so disheatning.
@@duduoson1306 aaah I see lol...i just wanna fly fpv..ive got health issues..and sadly it's becoming I item to put in a bucket list instead of something I want to do...just to expensive to try.
@@omegarad123 do you have a PC? Even before you buy a drone, you should just get a radio only(about $40 US for a betafpv) and use a free simulator just to practice for a few weeks to see if it’s something you will even like. Then slowly buy parts for a drone as you learn to fly on your pc. Or get a cheap woop bind and fly that will work for your radio down the road (about $100). The most expensive part will be goggles eventually but you can even find some budget ones for under $200 I believe. It is expensive but it gets cheaper every day!
With the new laws that came out it clearly states within line of sight..so my question is why are they selling these quads when you can't go that far out...does it have the tracking chip on it if not you will need to purchase and install yourself...remember the 3 choices that we have ..1=chip is already installed..2 you purchase and install
