It is appropriate that a benchmark moment inspiring the Renaissance of Hawaiian Culture occur in Hana. Hana, location of the largest sacred heiau, Pi'ilani, in all of Polynesia. The Hawaiian culture and language, though still on life support, has been saved from the brink of extinction. Besides enjoying the music and dancing ... Iolani Luahine ... I couldn't help seeing all the beautiful hats with their feather leis; so many of them. Nowadays, it's a scarce sight to see. Very beautiful ...
I lives 3 month in Hana in 1982-83. Then I manager to live in total 3yrs and à half in Mauï.What à beautiful people ! Mauï will help me to come back one day and I shall stay forever! Mahalo Mauï and your beautiful people. ❤ love Hawaï 😊

Picking opihi Big Island can b deadly if water gets rough. My Aunties husband Rupp a Haole guy a good swimmer died Pahoa. He couldn’t cut the bag opihi n drowned,
Leinaala Haili - Gabby, Eddie Kamae, Palani - they’re all gone. That Hawaii is gone forever. It will never be recaptured. However, we have it in our hearts and minds, we will have it forever .
