I’ve never played the games but I can’t stop watching this trailer. It looks awesome. I love that early shot of Joel in deep thought. Seems like a painful thought, too. But who knows?

long story short id finish the game Enjoy it and got hired a week later so i have to put this as My #1 game of all Time ...

Nice reaction, Guys. Yes, like Greg, I know next to nothing about this game...though, I've heard good things about it, over the years. So, if I watch it, I'll be seeing its world with fresh eyes. Yet another win for HBO. Pedro Pascal has hit Hollywood/cultural iconic status, now, with the one-two-punch of The Mandalorian's Din Djarin and The Last Of Us' Joel Miller. I'm interested, and happy for you 3 getting what you want.
I am so excited!! I've never played the game myself, but I've seen a couple of playthroughs and I got so HYPE when I saw the fallen over skyscraper and heard the clicker noises in the trailer. Chefs kiss! I've never been such a big fan of a video game franchise before and I will definitely try to play it myself one day in the distant future lol

I'm just as a big fan as you Bill! I'm am so hyped and so ready to not invest in the story yet again through a cinema lens, but again, to find all the details and easter eggs from the game, and possibly from the Uncharted games. They're bound to include easter eggs from other PS titles into this show.
I'm also glad Neil Druckman is heavily involved in this production and that they decided to use HBO, ANNND...that it's a series and not a rushed 2-3 hr movie.
Now I want to see how they portray how much of a crazy person he really is when protecting Ellie. As any fan knows, he straight up a psychopath.

Honestly for me I absolutely loved both The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2 equally both are roller coaster ride for emotions. Can't wait for the series it is going to be epic.

Years and years ago, soon after I'd scored my PS4, my buddies were appalled that I'd never played this game on my PS3 nor did I express interest in it. They kept on about it, and I'd tell them I didn't want to spend money on a game that I might not like. 'But you love post-apocalyptic stuff! Your artwork is filled with it,' they'd remind me. But I held off, playing my open world games and giving side-eye to this linear game they kept going on about. Finally my buddy Keith outright bought it for me. 'Enough with your Assassin's Creed,' he said after the disc had arrived in Philadelphia from Casper, Wyoming. Initially, I played it out of a kind of obligation to my friends, similar to watching a film that someone else enjoys and wants to share with you. Okay, I told myself, they love this game so much, so there must be something here. Boy... See, they never warned me with spoilers; I knew nothing about how That Intro(tm) goes, for instance. I didn't know I'd finish the game in near record time, finding little details - a framed picture of Philly's iconic LOVE Statue in a random house in Pittsburgh, the piles of crayons and toys directly next to scenes of tragedy - and that says nothing about the bigger things we all remember, like the lady in the bathtub, or Henry, or Ellie's hilarious swearing. The ending tore me apart; the prequel story broke me. I'd never played a game like this. At that point I was unfamiliar with Uncharted and was only vaguely familiar with Naughty Dog. I didn't expect the environments to be so damned detailed and downright beautiful in all of their horror. Seeing so many of those game moments replicated damned near shot for shot in this trailer is incredible. I have a good feeling about this, that it will join The Witcher, Mortal Kombat, and the early 2000's Tomb Raider films in breaking down that barrier that seems to exist between videogames and films. Sorry for rambling, but I share your excitement. You might say it's contagious. Liked and subscribed.

Part 2 is even better then the first.. So gooood
I disagree, personally. Just for the fact that the emotion in the second would not be even close to the same without the first. Not taking away from the second, but, that first story is just next level. Part two is epic, tho.

It looks really good i love this game I've played it 30 times and part 2 16 times BUT I have little concern that it's HBO and some how they'll try and add a sex scene or some kind of nudity some how but I can't remember the show I saw was last year a HBO show it was comedy drama n had nudity and it wasn't necessary for the show or relevant to the story but because they can they did
