Honestly, Niki is one of the coolest people I know of. Possibly one of the bravest as well. The things she's had to go through are straight-up nightmare fuel (and I'm sure nightmares are prevalent) but the fact that she's still here, she's still a streamer, and *she's still smiling* just increases my respect for her tenfold.

It's such a huge remark that, despite people looking as if they had an amazing childhood or they're live has been great since the day they first opened their eyes, you have to think about what goes on behind the scenes
Not everyone's lives are smiles and rainbows
I already thought Niki was a strong person, but man, my respect for her just quadrupled, and I really admire how kind she is and the way she's willing to point out the sexism in the streaming/gaming community.
And I've always admired how tactful and kind Anthony is with his guests. He's such a good interviewer!
It's so heartbreaking to me that Niki felt like she couldn't publicly interact with Wilbur anymore. Remember chat: don't pressure them into making content together, you can have a healthy friendship in private and even if they weren't friends (not saying that's the case) that's what I like to call, say it with me, 'not our business!'

After learning of Technoblade's passing (rest in peace Blood God, Technoblade never dies ❤️), I got incredibly upset and started wanting to distance myself from MYCT and whatnot. But after watching this interview and Techno's final video, him and Nikki reminded me that no matter how many bad things happens to that community and the content creators in it, some of them will always maintain a beautiful spirit, and they deserve all the support they can get :)
I’ve also tried distancing myself from mcyt that involves Techno- it always reminds me of: he’ll never be able to do this ever again. It makes me sad but I agree with you, they always have a great spirit and deserve all the support that they have. I think I might go back to mcyt with Techno involved things because I want to remember the good things that Techno always did.
You can try distancing from the fandom without distancing from the good content the creators make. A few people do that, including me, and it's quite good to not be involved with the "Twitter 'people' "

As someone who has barely watched Nihachu but seen her in other peoples videos, holy shit. Gained so much respect for her and the positive vibes being put out by her. This video is really an example of a great interviewer and a great interviewee (?) meeting!
I would watch niki once in a while and always watch her clogs and never watch her streams but watching this makes me interested in niki unique personality.

Nihachu is so sweet and she doesn't deserve a bad childhood, a stalker, and being bullied. She always has WAYYYY TO MUCH anxiety. I mean I have anxiety to but she has it pretty frequently and doesn't deserve it. Niki as came so far in life and in her career. Keep up the good work, and take a break if you need too.

Just because you refuse to face your traumas and actually heal from them doesn't mean that the people that do are weak.
In fact it takes a lot of mental strength in order to heal from trauma.
Suppressing it isn't strong at all. It stunts your mental growth and you'll never be able to truly live a normal and healthy life.
Because that trauma will always be right at the back of your mind, waiting to consume you.
Its so sad to hear about the hardships and struggles she went through but im really glad she overcame them and was able to get where she is today! I cant imagine how scary and frustrating some of those situations wouldve been and she is amazing for powering through!

I am someone with an SEVERE fear of being kidnapped, to the point where I find it hard to leave my house. Hearing about Niki’s story, and learning this about one of my favourite content creators makes my heart ache for her. Nobody should go through this. Being kidnapped is truly the worst thing that could happen to a person, in my opinion and I love and respect her so much for staying as strong as possible

I started to notice how Nikki was seen more with Jack after a while instead of Tommy and Wilbur and hearing her talk about how she can’t even have a public friendship with Wilbur anymore because of people shipping them so much. I really wish Nikki had the safety and the space to be friend with who she wants publicly and not have to hide her friendships because people can’t keep their opinions to themselves… it’s so sad.
I’ve also had a tumultuous childhood. I’m 18 now but I’ve lived in 15 different homes throughout my life. It’s a true loss every time you have to leave behind your friends and that place. But I also think that it’s helped me in some ways just like how Nihachu said! It’s easier to make friends and to adapt to your surroundings. Sometimes I still live with the fear of losing friends once again, but I also want to be brave and stand up to my fears just like Nihachu does. It’s actually really nice to hear of a creator who went through that same experience like me, I never knew of anyone who went through that, only for military reasons not parents, let alone someone who’s doing so well off in life despite it. I strive to be an influencer one day too, and Nihachu is a really great role model. She makes me think that maybe I can achieve my dreams, she’s an inspiration.

I just absolutely love her attitude!! That kind of mindset, like "wherever I go, I'll be fine" is just about the most important thing a person could have to do well in life. Circumstances etc. of course matter and not everybody is able to adapt, but looking at her and what she's been through, she's surely made a life for herself.
Niki deserves the world and I'm so proud of her. She's gone through so much and she's still so strong and positive. And she's funny and sarcastic and so sweet. She's such an amazing and inspiring person to me.

The thing is these people who grew from the smp. Their audience is incredibly young so they don't understand things. That makes it 10x harder to create content because the kids take things out of context and believe everything they see. That's terrifying cause they could cancel you for something you didn't do and that your career over

Honestly, I’d encourage it. From what I’ve read in this comment section, the Dream SMP is pretty dead now and most streamers who came from there have significantly diversified their content. You would probably have fun just enjoying her as a content creator! She seems like a fun person 😊
She does a mental health Monday weekly stream where she talks to a guest professional about mental health issues. And she does lots of just chatting content :) unfortunately, on the Minecraft streams she was doing, she would just get a ton of hate, so she does a lot less of that content now

i love niki so much, she is by far my favorite content creator and i always feel super safe and happy watching her content. it’s super inspirational to hear how she came back from the hardships she’s had to deal with. i also would most definitely listen to the podcast that. i’m talked about as well, it sounds super interesting

Niki is such a sweet and kind person, and it’s upsetting to know all the trauma she’s went through, no one should go through that. And people shouldn’t assume everyone’s friendship with other people because then that leads to people being uncomfortable and that’s not fair. She is such a strong and brave person to be opening up about her life, she truly is such a great person. :)

I just saw a little girl in a homeless shelter with her mom. Nihachu's story reminded me of a mom that moves place to place, and doesn't have a stable home.
Having a career or hobby such as content creation where your infront of mass amounts of people online is extremely scary. The amount of pressure and expectations out there can be taxing, and in my own way I relate to that. Some people can even forget that behind the screen is a human, just like us fighting there own battles. The worlds a rotten place as it is. I have alot of respect for Nihachu and what she goes through.

Anthony will probably never see this, but he should spend a day with people with restless leg syndrome. It's a common condition, and if people understood it might help people like me suffering from this condition. I'm constantly being judged for leg twitching, and the pain making it hard to sleep. If you have this condition or know someone with it, help make sure he can see this

I love Niki and being part of the community around her dearly. I remember the negative reactions after the love or host and it's still frustrating to hear how badly it affected her. But it also makes me so happy that she now feels comfortable with revealing all of these parts of her life. Niki continues to empower women and influence a lot of people's lives. Proud of you both!!

This was such a good episode!! I’ve been trying to make sure that I don’t judge people without adding in the factor that they’ve most likely been through a lot of shit in their life, and hearing Niki explain her story really shows you that you can’t really know anything about anyone unless they tell you. Very proud of her :)
