Yes, D 291 brings me back to my love for Lionel trains. What a dream layout! Thank you for your careful preservation to this priceless part of history!!
Love Super “O” track and the late 1950’s display layouts. What I could never understand though was the short track with the 2 bumpers. Waste of space and all to watch something go back and forth? Besides that though, these layouts were pure magic. Any kid having a layout like this in the 1950’s and even today is one lucky kid! Beautiful restoration, great video too.
I think the first place i saw a large store Christmas layout I think it was at the Woolworth store in Oakpark Illinois. My grandma and I always went there during the Christmas season. Alwsys had a good time stayed with grandma. Have a blessed weekend everyone
Every year in my home town of Sheboygan, Wisconsin the H.C. Prange Company had one of Lionel's dealer displays. I am suure Ibwatched this one for hours!
):29 I see myy Lackawanna engine and the silver passenger cars that were pulled by a New York Central pair of diesels in the background. My father's amazing Christmas displays including a Lionel smoking Pennsylvania RR steam engine that was from 1949, the year I was born. AND THE BUMPER CAR Now the trains are split up among me, my brother, and my two sisters. Such wonderful memories. Thank you
Joe Falk toy store, downtown Kansas City, MO. He had an HO layout with a touch-sensitive big red circle. When you touched it, the trains would run! Prob 1958, showing my age...
Very nice restoration, was wondering if you got the lower "main" track to operate two trains as per the directions included with the layout? regards Rob W.

Loved the "missle launcher" control by the transformer. So 1960s!

What camera are you using to get those shots from the front of the train?
What dealer layout did they use on the Addams family TV show
