A great documentary! I've been studying this (as an amateur) for several decades now. It's amazing how far apart people can be on the same quite topic that has so little evidence. I talked with a retiree Indian Chief, in 2018, who grew up on a reservation, was educated/trained toward possibly becoming a leader/chief and he told me that his elders - who lived in the early 20th century told him that Bigfoot had always been seen as just another "tribe of Indians" and that they shared a language to communicate with them. Almost matter of fact. In fact he addressed that by saying that "When people ask (us Indians) if we believe in Bigfoot, that's like asking you (me) if you believe in squirrels, raccoons, bears, etc." It was that normal of a creature as other creates in nature. He said he had never seen one but heard a number of strange vocalizations in the wild, that other indians who had more interactions with BF, said came from Bigfoot. In my long and dwindling life, I've never seen anything like this phenomenon, where a "conspiracy theory" about a "fictional creature" had so many different "conspiracy theories" to try to explain it. And I (as a man) think of this phenomenon as a "male thing" as though a competition for money (there is none) or fame (there appears only to be notoriety). The few women involved (e.g, Kathy Strain) seem to have much less ego on the line. I have spoken to a handful of men who have seen them. I spoke with one man - quite an outdoors man - who did not see one but saw a very large rock thrown OVER tall trees and into a river. He had four other witnesses - they were all Marine soldiers on a training mission in a remote area. He said that rock (a 2nd one after they only heard the first one hit the water) appeared to be "oh, at least 200 to 300 pounds". And it had been thrown over tall trees and then many yards into a river. This Marine veteran relieved it right in front of me as he told that story. I believed him. To truly understand Sasquatch and their extraordinary abilities, it's essential to delve into Eastern spirituality and Indigenous wisdom. I believe sasquatch to be equivalent to advanced ascetic adepts, demonstrating remarkable psychic and paranormal capabilities that are characteristic of elevated yogic states. Eastern spiritual traditions emphasize practices such as prayer, meditation, visualization, breathwork, and third-eye focus to cultivate these abilities. Ancient texts describe "clouding" (invisibility) and "shadow walking" (mentioned by some First Nations tribes), while Tibetan "tummo" meditation is specifically linked to cloaking abilities. Telepathy is reportedly achieved through specialized breathwork and third-eye focus. These ancient practices are integral to Sasquatch culture, and their reported psychic abilities suggest a deep connection to these traditions and practices.
It's already been scientifically proven that the Patterson film is real and not a person in a costume , they proved that no human can move the way the figure in the film was moving etc
There are many unanswered questions about the Patterson footage, but it has not been scientifically proven as real or a hoax. There are credible arguments for both.
I agree with the one guy, Homo sapiens are classified as primates, great apes. Sasq'ets, also would be a primate and some sort of cousin to us. Less than 25% of all creatures have been fossilized throughout all history, giving us just a glimpse into the past, not the full picture. I can totally buy into the Behring strait theory, with all the other large mammals that migrated from Asia to the new world. I grew up in central PA and dealt with the local "prowlers" that would tap on farmers windows, taunt them into coming out shooting, tease the kids, and stare into windows at night. I now live on the Olympic peninsula, and the activity makes PA seem mild and sparse. I live west of the biggest town on the O.P. Port Angeles (another PA) sandwiched between quarries, a major salmon river, creeks, and the beach and the mountains are 1 mile north and south respectively. The one power line cutout travels just down the road from us. Every fall, as the deer and elk come down from the piling snows in the elevations, and the salmon are finishing their run, and the berries are over ripe along with some other crops from the scattering of small farms. The quarry 200 feet from my window has a pond in one corner full of leopard frogs that a female (high pitched voice) seems to frequent in November and December on cool (normally mid 40s) rainy night. She responds to a deep voiced moaning male (?) by the river, nearly a quarter mile away. We have one that tossed a few big rocks at us on the trail 1 mile away that likes to do a strangely technical whistle in the middle of bird calls. Our dogs that fear no cougar or bear, whimper, cower, loose bladder control, and once tried to jump free of the leash to go back to the car after a glimpse of a huge black head darting behind a cedar and into a game trail. I keep vigil every night, especially in season, trying to record something on my phone, camera, or recorder. Looking for like minded campers who want to go on a 10 mile, 3 day trail hike/camp here on the peninsula in mid-late September 2025. Mostly following a river trail.

My dad's sister lived in Washington State in an A frame house, she told of how the forest would go eerily silent and there would be blood curdling screams, she lived in a heavily wooded area with not many neighbors nearby. That is just something I remember her telling us, I lived in McMinnville Oregon for a few years, and in northern California, I was born in Redding Ca, so I was a west coast native for most of my youth., we moved a lot so. I do not know what these things are and I am more inclined to believe they exist than not, I live in Southern Alabama now and other than what I have seen as far as bigfoot videos/documentaries that is the extent of what I know is what I have seen and heard through media. it is kind of funny, the atheists want to find the "missing link" yet here is a creature that has at least some human features and yet most scientists say it does not exist, and they really do not spend any time with why they do not want to find out yea or nay, its like its a taboo subject, they leave alone as if messing with it could be harmful to their careers. On the one hand they want to find missing links and yet do not want anything to do with bigfoot, its like people above their pay grade have said do not go there and so they don't, save for a few indominable people like Dr. Jeff Meldrum.
They are not interested because if one is found and documented as authentic it will rewrite all the scientific books on the subject and cause a big stir in the community. Many of these men are at the end of their career and risk losing all credibility while living. Max Planck is credited with this quote: *"A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it."*
It's very similar to ancient megalithic structures. They really don't want to know how they were built, or they know exactly how and don't want the masses to know. I believe the government knows exactly what these creatures are and don't want us to know.

some of these special effects "experts" need to take into consideration when this was filmed. back then there was NO spandex type material . the suits were usually baggy or non forming. the creature in the film does NOT appear to be sagging and looks to be realistically for fitted to me. ppl just throw the "man in a suit" statement out without actually looking into it. pathetic.
The people who are saying Bigfoot mentally spoke to them are making disbelief so much easier . But I WANT them to be real ! I just don’t see them physically speaking to whackos !
Alot of this is a battle of the egos where they all think there opinions are right,I think you can get into that and you kind of loose focus on what the tasks at hand is there to do.instead of bashing one another work together like spokes in a wheel.they all could be right in some of there theories and could accomplish more working together.
Holy smokes. Any interest I had in attending bigfoot symposia was eroded by that part where they are yelling at eachother. I've been to a bunch of bitter staff meetings already.
I LUV to hear all the 'Colorful' (arrogant ego driven) people who seem so sure of what Sasquatch really IS, as far as I know, as of 2025, no one knows for sure. @32:32 cause it was fake, @35:23 listen to a professional say "it's a man in a suit"...FORGET the two broke and opportunistic men looking to film a bigfoot, FORGET how the creature (or man) looks, fur, hair, muscle, seams, walks etc. The proof is in the depth of the prints (actual animal weight) and the distance between each track, the 'stride' BOTH would be impossible to fake Imo. Just because Sasquatch's are REAL, which I believe, doesn't mean the PG film is real.
They say the Patterson film is a man wearing a suit and they couldn't make something that good back then...At around 48 minutes the Bigfoot in the movie which is old looks pretty good...No haters please I really do want to believe.
I think you have to look outside the box with science. With science you need to accept differences of opinion but don't shut everyone out who believes in something like Bigfoot. There needs more open minded people with money who can explore this area. You have to go out and explore in the woods before you cut someone down for what they experienced! It needs to be taken seriously because people are missing or dead! Who takes responsibility?
If Patterson film is fake why can’t no one reproduce it. I saw an attempt on some Hollywood series years ago. They had Chewbacca walk across the same area of bluff creek. Then they said “see just a man in a suit like this”. There recreation was so fake and with a top notch Hollywood suit and makeup artists. No there’s no doubt it’s real.
thats the big mystery it has a little more detail than it should & the footprints were photo'd and match the location. Even a large person would not make prints as deep. Plus the area was picked following eyewitness accounts. so he seemed like he set out to fake it but you'd expect lower quality not be able to match what people said they saw as well thats almost impossible.
I've seen and heard to much to say Bigfoot isn't a real animal but I can't figure out how anyone can watch the Patterson and Gimlin film and not see a guy in a bad costume is beyond me, Bob Heronamus even pasted a polygraph test .
Bob Hieronymus couldn't produce any real evidence. He couldn't even find the actual spot where the film was made. Then, body comparisons have proven they don't match. There's a reason why he's mostly forgotten, but the film is still going strong.
Disagree, the biomechanics do not match that of humans. Perhaps a robot! I bet somebody is rich enough to build a robot in the distant future, travel back in time to 1967 with a suit made in the future (no suit in1967 could mimic the pendulous breasts and moving muscles!

These magnificent Sasquatch creatures that you have in the States are under immense pressure. They should be protected at all costs!
Anyone who still thinks Sasquatch is just an undiscovered great ape is lost. Its supernatural
They are a living, flesh and blood people with psychic abilities. But yes, you're on the right track
The PG film is authentic, muscle movement will not show through in suit, no one could tell it was a female until the film was analyzed with new technology and more detail was found. Thinker Thunker did limb measurements and it in no way could be a human even with arm and leg extensions, you can change locations of joints
Can't change
What the redheaded young man doesn't realize is that either Patterson or Gimlin didn't have the ways or means to have faked the sasquatch in the film.
Right. Swear I seen a show where they enhanced the video, and the Sasquatch looks to be female judging by the chest.
LD ATTLEY was a rich man. He could have paid someone like say Andre The Giant to put on a costume.
@@donaldfuller5041 the best make up Hollywood could do then was to approximate Planet of the Apes. That's not nearly the level Patterson/Gimlin needed to fake it. It's been scrutinized for decades now and no one who was a professional at film analysts has been able to discount it yet almost 60 years after.

Them Sasquatch are badass.
yep, especially if they go around in an aggressive or violent state of mind and have the ability to go invisable or can teleport,i think that might have been mentioned in the video i was watching before this one,you would have to know how to defend and protect yourself in the street before maybe going out into the wild and woodlands incase a bigfoot or anything else might take a dislike to someone.
This was sooo well done

Christopher Guest as Corky vibes.
Bless Dr. Krantz. A far cry from Todd Standing. At least it's not embarrassing to listen to him.
Here's to the ones who've seen Sasquatch and know what they saw. It's like tales of UAP abductions - not sure what to believe, but some of their sincerity is impressive.
The bf pictures standing todd has are of himself madeup
Fraud Standing is a Canadian Super Soldier that hangs out with the Sasquatch all the time because he allegedly befriended them. He even speaks their language.
Is the guy at 29:05 the same dude (but older) from an earlier Bigfoot doc where the guy is outside playing a drum-set in the snow? Know that one?
I thought this was that same documentary but it's not. Someone re-edited this with some of the same characters
Excellent Video 📽 🎬🏆👌
19:45 they thought those pups would run Bigfoot?! Funny. Would’ve been Bigfoot snacks.
Some of these investigators have since passed on:
Maybe they now know FOR SURE that the sasquatch exists. Maybe when you die, you learn all the things that you could not have known, before?
yes,that could be.
Could be

Here we are 25 years later and still no “Bigfoot.” And 25 years from now there won’t be any “Bigfoot” either. All this animosity and back biting reminds me of the “researchers” in the UFO community. All of these guys are dead now and wherever they are now I’m sure they’re embarrassed. By all the pettiness and a life wasted……
@@rocketmcgrain7947 you can’t kill something that doesn’t exist. Bigfoot doesn’t exist. Therefore it’s a moot point. And yes, spending your life chasing myth and monsters is a life wasted. Even if it is in “the wilderness.”
Krantz and Dahinden are my favorites
It's already been scientifically proven that the Patterson film is real and not a person in a costume , they proved that no human can move the way the figure in the film was moving etc
No it hasn't been "scientifically proven" where is the published peer-to-peer reviewed paper?
@@AranRinzei it's a hoex
@@Nate-gn6wt So you believe it is Bob Heironimus wearing a gorilla suit made by Philip Morris and customized by Roger Patterson.
There are many unanswered questions about the Patterson footage, but it has not been scientifically proven as real or a hoax. There are credible arguments for both.

Great documentary.
Okay. Are my eyes deceiving me? 18:25 Mr. And Mrs. Stewart getting off the plane, is there a ufo in the sky right behind them or is that 4 separate ufo’s?? Looks like they are just setting in the sky. Their not birds or balloons because they are setting perfectly still.
I was just about to write that same thing. Thats a line of objects because there's no powerline especially at an airport.
Wonder what happen with Matt Dunlap. If he has literally taken up the torch or just moved on?
Best sources of info for any of these beings labeled big foot, Sasquatch etc are Native/ indigenous peoples. Their history w/beings reportedly goes far back. No doc films by or with Native/Indigenous I know of. Maybe they know better? Verified close up photo or video prob worth a lot but area (and photo taker/s) prob be taken over by govt/USM. Price for fame?

You are correct in that, as of these dated messages.
Peter unfortunately passed away a coupe weeks ago.
I'm just watching this for the first time, been doing Bigfoot research the last few weeks, after watching some "Richie from Boston" at his "jailbreak overlander"channel - he's got some amazing stories! Now I know all these original researchers are dead, but many more are following in their footsteps, including Richie. He said a company gave him some expensive infra-red equipment and cameras to do his search, which goes with his love of owls because they seem to follow Bigfoot.@@wardchapman5669

34:59 dude might be an effects artist but he’s out of his depth here. That segment hasn’t aged well. I’m betting he got stoned before the shoot. His arguments don’t make sense. Watch it again. It’s funny how the film editor put the patty footage right next to an example of a state of the art Hollywood costume of that time.
Max Planck is credited with this quote:
*"A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it."*
It's very similar to ancient megalithic structures. They really don't want to know how they were built, or they know exactly how and don't want the masses to know. I believe the government knows exactly what these creatures are and don't want us to know.
Thumb up !
Wow. 42:20 we get to watch a moment of Bigfoot researcher history here- a public dispute at a Bigfoot conference.

Ok when i was a kid we were terrified of the bogey man from those "Halloween" movies. Now today on you tube and internet it's the big foot!!!!!
Not a bad flick. Was there not one native American interview on the subject. They are far more superior in knowledge than any white man. Or aboriginal about the yeti . Kinda narrow way to approach this but at least it wasn't chreezy
important to note and see the Bauhaus shirt the head artist is wearing!
A documentary about the battle of the 4 great Sasquatch pioneers and their inability to agree on almost anything concerning the Big Guy in the woods.

This is a wonderful documentary. A true labor of love. That young special effects guy was speculating at best he has no expertise in any field to call the film a hoax.. Rene dehindens attitude is so close minded and disrespectful. Probably why he never found any answers. Kewaunee is right.
some of these special effects "experts" need to take into consideration when this was filmed. back then there was NO spandex type material . the suits were usually baggy or non forming. the creature in the film does NOT appear to be sagging and looks to be realistically for fitted to me. ppl just throw the "man in a suit" statement out without actually looking into it. pathetic.
The people who are saying Bigfoot mentally spoke to them are making disbelief so much easier . But I WANT them to be real ! I just don’t see them physically speaking to whackos !
I suppose if I went in the woods and saw evidence I would keep looking for one 😂😊
Bigfoot might follow you and study your movements ..
The cave system theory seems very plausible
Alot of this is a battle of the egos where they all think there opinions are right,I think you can get into that and you kind of loose focus on what the tasks at hand is there to do.instead of bashing one another work together like spokes in a wheel.they all could be right in some of there theories and could accomplish more working together.
The guy @5:42 is a total nut case.
If it hand the intelligence of an ape, it would have been hunted down to extinction a very long time ago.
It doesn't matter what it is someone is going to have to bring one in to prove it.
Holy smokes. Any interest I had in attending bigfoot symposia was eroded by that part where they are yelling at eachother. I've been to a bunch of bitter staff meetings already.
Whoop whoop whoop 😅
I'm at Weston state bend park in Missouri alot you hear screams at night.
Truth is much much stranger than what people consider their reality
People believe that they saw something, but they are not sure! Until you get so many experts that they get confused
It was written, the last battles will be fought with sticks and stones.
Not sure the origins of this but this isnt the Sasquatch Odyssey from 1999. That was completely different.
Oh for heaven's sake... loonatic supernatural sasquatch people do so much damage to the whole topic it's maddening!!! 😒

I'm not sure why Dahinden is considered one of the horsemen? I don't see what he ever brought to the table as far as research is concerned. To me he was just a cantankerous old man with a 5th grade education. I've watched every single 70's documentary on the subject and had never heard of Dahinden or John Green until I watch Sasquatch Odyssey. To me there are only two, Krantz and Byrne.
