The Renogy 100 amp MPPT solar controller is good for Lithium 48 V for sure. The setting are olso on the DC HOME app !I’ve been running mine now for over a year. The extendable Bluetooth with its cable is also wicked in the respect that you could have it outside of your powerhouse or motor home to get the data from a distance, specially on your phone App .Mines is a off grid home system and i have 48 volt 200 amp ! Thanks for your time
Thanks for your video. I do remember reading my instruction manual and Lithium 48 V was totally fine and mine has been running for 12 months with Lithium. Also let acid before that but saying that it’s only two years old. I will check and reply. !
The external Bluetooth module allow OUTSIDE mounting making it possible to connect to the Controller from longer ranges..
Great news on out side mounting? Is the module waterproof?
I can’t find anywhere on the website that says it doesn’t do 48v Lithium, are you sure ?
Thanks for the question, perhaps my misunderstanding of how the auto voltage detecting works for 48v and lithium batteries. Rechecked the manual. Li 24v, 36v & 48v need to be manually configured to work correctly. Makes sense 48v Li will work with this mppt really seeing as renogy have a 48v Li battery for sale.
from their website :: Automatically detects 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V DC system voltages (for non-lithium batteries). Compatible with various Deep Cycle battery options: AGM, Sealed, Gel, Flooded and Lithium. ////
How to change charging parameters on this mppt
there are control buttons on the front to select multiple battery types including a user defined parameter.
Did you end up installing this anywhere?
not yet, too big for our van.
Definitely going to try and get hold of one or two when they come back in stock.
HI , is this suitable for hydro power.
that would depend on the hydro turbine output specs?
