Great vid! Love this kind of content. In addition I'd highly recommend the "Card Guardian" 9 Pocket Zip binder. Also thanks for the MetaZoo set lists you've made. Saved me a lot of time!
I’m a mechanical engineer so my mind is always thinking about new product innovations within our hobby. What do you think would be the absolute perfect trading card binder in an ideal world?
I use the Vault X 12pocket and love it. My ultra pros sit with the elastic straps off because to the pressure they put on the cards. Thanks for the giveaway!
I want a card binder for my Pokémon cards I am collecting for the first time. I wanted one with a Pokémon themed cover. Top Deck is also one people have said is great but it’s expensive.
Amazon has a bunch that are Pokemon themed here: amzn.to/3xndTyj I have not tried any of them so I can't recommend one over another. I'm not sure if you care about it being official pokemon or not so be careful when you search through these as I'm not sure if some of these companies are officially licensed or not.
Thanks for the help. I bought a nice Eevee binder before, but I found out that it was a mini binder. They don’t make card refills for that size so I have to send it back. I prepurchased card sleeves and clear pocket pages of nice quality. I know eventually I will need more than one binder but I also want them to last.
Been looking to invest in zipfolios and was sold on the vault x but I’ve been seeing and hearing some serious concerns by some people that the row of cards closest to the spine of the binder get bent, now I’m skeptical
@@TedsBasementPodcast First, great video. I’m curious as to what’d you think? I have the same concern as this gentleman. Currently have the Ultra Pro Poke Ball Binder, but the strap’s putting that pressure on the end and that concerns me. The Vault X binder looks nice, but a review on Amazon about the leftmost side resulting in bent cards when it’s near full capacity with ~70 people finding that review helpful, can’t say I’m not a bit nervous about making the switch to this binder. Let me know about your opinion, and I tend to leave my binders laying flat rather than standing up. Thank you in advance!
@Filthy Fiery I feel the strap increases the risk of bending the cards when stored for a long period of time. So, for the small few ultra pro binders I have left, I store them with the strap off, but I use the strap during travel with the binder. But I've been slowly converting all my binders over to the zipper style because I feel it spreads the tension me evenly around the whole binder, resulting in less chance of bending the cards.
I use vault x as well, I can’t imagine using anything like the ones with the straps. I feel like I might as well not use a binder if I’m going to use a floppy binder or something with a metal ring
I wouldn't recommend them if they weren't the best I've ever used myself. And for the money it's a home run. I bought 6 so I'd have enough for the entire cryptid nation block. And in wanted to lock in this price in case it goes up later.
Do you have any trouble with the stickers coming off the sides to mark them? Also, what is the maximum width of sticker you think would work? Thank you
@Kerry Stoltz I print out the labels with this label maker amzn.to/3kdxCha and I use 2 different sizes of label the .47 inch and the .23 inch. The bigger one is better to see at further distances while the smaller one is good to fit more words in tighter spaces. I use the .47 knch most of the time which is this one amzn.to/41cpBcL
Hey I was curious! What kind of specific sleeves are you using on your cards inside the Vault X? I'm mostly using the cheap Ultra Pro penny sleeves currently but have a ton of perfect fits that I could use if they end up being a little too big for the Vault X pockets.
@@g0shua I would consider penny sleeves like these amzn.to/3QxEz7y You get 1,000 of them for around 12 bucks. if you plan to take the cards in and out of the binder, then i would upgrade to stronger outer sleeves like this amzn.to/3Pyrg5j I would not double sleeve them because it makes the binder feel tight and thicker. you can do it, but then it becomes a question of how many cards are in the binder.
@@TedsBasementPodcast that’s perfect. I’ll pick up that bulk pack for use with these binders. These have been so much easier to find than the Ultimate Guards. More affordable for separating sets into their own binders!
What sleeves work best for the vault x binder? I have seen some reviews of people saying the bottom row of the binder is harder to fit cards into and risks damaging your cards. I have just bought the 9 pocket zip vault x binder and I hope to limit this by getting sleeves that properly fit the binder to put my cards in before putting them in the binder pockets
Man, love those binders. I have tons of old marvel sets I would love to use something like that on. The only thing is with those pages, you can’t read the back of the card. Are there any binders like that vault were the pages are clear so you can see the art on the back too or am I stuck with these large, awkward 3 ring binders?
Am I the only one having problems with the Vault X ? Everyone keeps saying it's amazing but, I don't know how to explain it clearly in english, but the pages are weird, they kind of twist you know, because of the fabric of the binder maybe. I mean that If you just put the binder on a table for example, the pages aren't "flat", they're kind of rising (and we can clearly see it on the video) >.>
Maybe it's because I store mine on a shelf standing up In a row with other binders, so mine doesn't spend much time flat unless I'm actively looking at the cards.
I have the pro bender i am a begginer so i chosed that but now i am kinda scared bc i don't want my new cards to get destroyed :< i have my favorite pokemon line in there What should i do? It wasn't that cheap in my country plus vaultx isn't in my country Can i use the pro binder for a while till i will find something better?

This is a common issue with zip binders, I find strap ones have more evened pages and better at laying flat

Correct 😀
