I was at the grand opening of the Ed Sullivan Arena in Anchorage Alaska and ole Willie was kind enough to step out of his Bus and talk with me and my older brother. Oh Willie was watching out of the bus window when we scaled down a wall to get to his bus, my brother Steve busted his rump on the drop while landing on a snow mound that turned out to be pure ice.. Ole Willie called his boys off us and was laughing, he had two beautiful women with him and when asked where he was going next, he merely said Hawaii and smiled big.
What a show, what a man, what a legend.

Went to Luckenbach just before Waylon went to glory.....just to be there....where the great ones walked. My son passed at 29 years old. Also a major fan on his Les Paul. Willy is the last of the greats! If someone asked me: what living person would you most like meet....without a doubt it would be that RedHeaded stranger. My cousin claims she did in Vegas years ago. 😉

Guess he doesn't grasp the concept that smoke does damage to the lungs and adds a tar residue in the lungs no different than cigarettes do. Smoke isn't something natural for the lungs otherwise people wouldn't have issues with breathing from inhaling tobacco or marijuana smoke. I mean common sense here people. Hell I know people who have been weed smokers for decades now and have bronchitis from it and never smoked a cigarette in their life!

Victor Chaz I have an 87 year old father-in-law who walks miles everyday and when he is sitting doesn’t heave like willie. Seriously man I love Willie but he’s struggling and it may prove that smoking dope everyday may cause emphysema just like smoking cigarettes, where do people think all the resin from a joint goes? @G Moore...at 86 years old I'm sure Willie has accepted what's inevitably is going to happen. He looks happy and is still able to tour. I really don't think he's too worried about the consequences of smoking dope. He recently had some health issues so that could explain his breathing. Your father in law is a lucky man to still be around at 87, good for him.

I love Aloha Willie! Not many people were lucky enough to see Willie's Show at Charley's in Paia Maui.
It was load the Bar and lock the doors you are in for the greatest show on earth.
You never knew when it would happen. Haven a beer one day and the doors locked.
I saw him live and it was a great show! Never thought he would be one I wanted to see but I went because my grandma wanted to see him and I don’t regret it!
I visited my son in Vegas last year and we went to a dispensary where I got Willie’s Reserve. I have quite a bit of anxiety when I travel but this kicked my anxiety’s butt. Wish I could’ve taken some home.
Saw him live in Sugarloaf, Maine in the 90’s and he was amazing. I’d love to see him again.

My Dad and I got to see him live in San Antonio in 2019. So much fun, the dude kills. He walks out to the stage like you would expect an upper 80-something year old to walk but then his age disappears and the audience is taken to a special place. His sister was also there, nearly 90 at the time. Crazy.
