Jesus Murphy, Metallica fan from the early days. Sitting at 54 years old now and Harvester of Sorrow has always been my favorite Metallica song and coming across this now it's absolutely blowing my mind, I'm getting out my acoustic now and going to sing like the skinned cat I know I can excellent job man sounds absolutely awesome
Thank you for all your kind comments below and above. This is his Dad speaking and I'm super proud of him. He's currently putting a band together. It's very exciting and he's gonna smash stadiums all over the world. Keep in touch and I'll let you know the name of the band once he's formed it. Almost there. Thank you for your support.
I came across this circa half a year ago, and I've listened to it a number of times since. It's one of the best covers of this song I've heard. In my opinion, a far better cover than many 'heavier' attempts by others. You not only re-create all those various chords with skill, but you've captured its sinister tone and even imbued it with a dash of melancholy, or perhaps a sense of desperation. Well done.
Really nice cover! Your vocals have a lot of bite to them, and your guitar playing is really good. You account for both James’ rhythm parts and Kirk’s lead bits really well with one guitar!
Love it! Great guitar work and didn’t let down on the vocals! Shame the recording was picking up bar chatter…possibly could cleaned up but ultimately gives it all character!
