A) is the only one that doesn't start with F or end in a consonant, B) for the reason given, C) is the only one whose 2nd letter isn't a vowel, and D) is the only one who isn't the odd one out on the other criteria, thus making it truly the odd one out.
That was the theme YOU were going for. It’s simply a bad question for a quiz because the other answers provided by Dallas are also objectively correct, and the only way to arrive at the correct answer from all of those is to read the mind of whoever came up with this and decipher which of several correct answers is the one they’re looking for.
i love the multiply numbers of a phone together. using mental math i did 7 (720*7=5040 or 4900+140) and gave up. with another 40 sec i couldve went all the way thru, but it started to hurt. i thought it would be easier to start from the top : (

A very good analysis but the main theme is that they have numbers at the end of each word.

As you were counting the equilateral triangles, you most likely double-counted the big overall triangle
