I own budgies and I've done research. In my knowledge, I think the birbie is just feeding the lil queen 💖 They aren't mating or breeding, just a very nice couple :D
btw, when mating, the boy will go on top of the female bird and move around. This movement stimulates the female budgie and it later then lays eggs. This is why it is not advised to rub the back of a budgie as they might mistake you as trying to mate with them 😅. (please refrain from touching a budgies tail, back, stomach area and pet then only on their head or face or the backside of the head (the part behind the head between the back and head).

Hey, I have a question! My parakeets are around 3-4 months old and I believe they have been mating because they are doing the same thing the parakeets in this video were doing. Do you think they will lay eggs?
@@Fmr866 I’m a viewer but in my opinion no eggs will result. I raised Budgies at one time along with other types of birds. If you have a male & a female in the same cage they will eventually breed successfully. Be prepared to separate the chicks after they are weaned or you will have inbred birds & that can lead to problems.

Hi! Usually the male will start convincing the female. He will feed her and sign to her. If you have two males sometimes they do the same behaviour but no babies of course.

What is the result of breeding of this pair
Five babies mostly pied because of dad, 3 yellow and two white and blue. Mom is a double factor spangle, so babies had spangle as well.
