Great job Malika!👏🏾 I am also a stockinette knitter, but I am challenging myself as a knitter this year. I am definitely a product knitter, but a process crocheter. I could crochet all day! 🧶
I haven’t been knitting for many months and the thought of knitting a sweater like this scares the heck out of me, but it looks so amazing I might have to give it a try! I am currently doing the Snow Sweater by Knitting For Olive ❤ Love your videos x
You’re doing a beautiful job. As far as the chart goes, I can’t live without stitch markers. The pattern usually tells you the number of repeats and if not, you can count them the first time and then every X number of stitches you put a stitch marker. It helps immensely because it means let’s say the repeat is every 10 stitches so you need the 10 stitches with the chart, the arm overs and the net twos together, etc. And then in the next block of 10 stitches you’re off by one all you have to do is frog back one repeat. So that first round you put it every X number of stitches and then going forward while you’re working in that texture that pattern you’re less apt to have to frog back even a row you just have to frog back to the repeat before it. I probably am not making a lot of sense but trust me, stitch, markers, stitch, markers, stitch markers.
This reminds me of stories of how back in the day (1800s, 1900s) country women would knit sweaters fast for money… well done! I hope you enjoyed it, otherwise what’s the point? You make me feel like I want to do this pattern, but with all your troubles, I feel like I’d want to do something without errors. Maybe I’ll look for something with that gansey fisherman style.
Kika posted a correction on the pattern page on ravelry last year for chart C. Tip: always read the full pattern page on ravelry to check for corrections on any pattern before beginning.
@@roxannesmith289 I didn’t purchase the pattern from Ravelry, I got it from her website, and Ravelry is not a site I use at all. We shouldn’t have to go to that site for a correction that should be made in the pattern itself, especially if many people were struggling with this section. Sending out an email with the corrections is what should’ve been done, like every other designer I’ve purchased from does.
Once you said that first sentence my hands cramped up just from the thought of trying to knit *that* much in a week. Good on you though girl!
😂😂😂 that’s hilarious. Thank you though 🥰❤️

You did a great job! Crochet is your preference, but having an option is good, too!

it sucks that they released a pattern that still has mistakes and then arent even the one to post the solution :/ congrats on the sweater tho!!!
@@conniefightsback1158 agreed, but at least I found a solution!! Thank you so much!! 🥰
The pattern has an update. If you scroll down the pattern page on Ravelry, she has the updated version of row 5.

Hi: can you tell me what type of yarn you used for your sweater. I have done 3 swatches and can’t get gauge with worsted. Trying to use my stash

You did a fantastic job.❤
Thank you!!!! ❤️❤️
Very good job!!!!
Thank you so much 🥰
... In the process of frogging back my sweater even though it was only stockinette stitches. Mistakes happen anywhere!
@@hellomarinasunshine absolutely!
Will you post a picture of your #15 MFTS; I am finishing up the ribbing on the cuff of mine.
I also hate to pick up stitches hahah it truly is the worst part of knitting
