Really nice video! Thank you for taking us along with great narrative. I roll my '14 Vstrom 1000 everywhere and have it fixed up over the years for more dirt. I had a 650 before, also a great bike. Love these bikes. I got my Vee more for road touring at first but grew up riding for the last 50 yrs mostly dirt. The Vee is only 40lbs heavier that the Wee for those that do not know that but the torque with sprocket changes makes the Vee have crazy low down torque. Again, not taking anything away from the Wee. Always a work in progress to get back in the country like you do. I grew up in I and Alaska doing the same stuff you did! Always something fun to do. Thank you for taking us on an exploring trip- which are the BEST! Stay safe and well my friend!

Good to hear from you sir, glad you liked the video and had a great experience growing up in Alaska. The V-Sroms are great bikes and now we have the new V-Strom 800DE that needs our attention. Thanks for watching and keep safe out there.... :)

Another good video John. You sure do have some beautiful areas to ride in. A lot of nice creeks, rivers and water crossings. In my area(s. texas) I have to go 40 miles to find even a small hill. Flat as a pancake down here.
No human trafficking? Don't think I've ever seen one of those signs before!
I'm looking forward to your maintenance videos. If I would only do half the maintenance you do to my bike, well..... Like I said before, Whom ever you sell those bikes to someday is going to be very happy/lucky.
    Rick

Hello again sir, Sorry to hear you have no hills to ride on. I have ridden down at Teralingua/Big Bend a few times... really like that area down there but only at the right time of year.... North side of El Paso is really nice as well. Thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)

Hi Sir, I live in Trois-Rivières, province of Quebec and I find your videos interesting. Fun to discover your backcountry. I ride with a BMW GS 1250 2022. Unfortunately our season is over. We had our first snowstorm yesterday with 10 inches. 😢 Cheers! 🏍😉

Hello there sir, good to hear from you. I am sure your ridding season is too short up there. I feel as though it is too short here in the Ozarks. I am planning on spending a few winters down in southern Arizona riding in the desert and skipping the cold weather all together. Until then I guess I will just have to muddle through. Enjoy that new GS and thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)

Hi love your vids! I see you added rox risers i'm wondering how you handled the break line?

Hello there sir, good to hear from you. All I had to do was to remove the bracket holding the front brake line to the front of the lower triple tree. I also wrapped a piece of inner tube around the line there where it was clamped to the front of the lower triple tree to protect it from chaffing. There is plenty of line length to work with the 1.5 inch riser... Hope this helps... thanks for watching... keep safe out there.... :)

Hello there sir, yes the V-Strom is going strong. I have 10,500 miles on the bike now with no issues... It will probably last longer that I do... Thanks for watching... :)
