Replace Vegan with human and you touch more than a certain cast of people. Not all ideals lie in the same garden, nor those of like minds, but certainly we can all say, those of us who like the message and music, that we agree with the content in this song without championing ourselves for what we perceive as above others for what is but dietary choices.

Das stimmt so nicht ganz, man kann rechnen das man für 1kg Schweine fleisch 3 kg Getreide braucht das Schwein hat also eine Futterverwertung von 1 : 3 bei Rindfleisch liegt dieser Wert bei 1 : 7, bei Hühner bei ca. 1 : 1,5 - 1,8 und bei Fischen sogar bei 1 : 0,9. Was man weiterhin bedenken muss ist das man Getreide nicht direkt isst sondern es als Mehl zu anderen Lebensmitteln weiterverarbeitet, und aus 1 kg Getreide entstehen ca 500 - 500 g Mehl.

Actually you don´t need to care about animals if you´re a vegan, it is just a bit of a trend to have a reason beside the good effects for health. There are by far too less vegans or vegetarians to make a change in the way animals are treated. And seriously, some "meat eaters" or omnivores really care about animals, maybe not for the ones they eat, but lots of people hate zoos and circuses for the way they treat animals. There is no need to be a vegan to care about animals.

I don't thinks a lot of vegans choose that lifestyle only for the health benefits, because it seems to be that people prefer taste over health. Anyway, it is true that many omnivores contribute to animal causes, and that is good, but still they pay the factory farms to kill animals for them, and the farming of animals is not only bad for them for the obvious reasons, but also the main cause of gas emitions, leading to global warming and other issues. Vegans contribute so much less to that problem and in general they also are against zoos and circuses. And yeah unfortunately there are still few vegans comparing to the omnivores, but they are growing, and who knows in a few decades or centuries the numbers won't be much much higher
