I am from Goa...my father expired when I was 6 yrs. I have 2 siblings younger and elder. My mother was given a offer to get converted to Christianity 30 yrs back.....my mother refused all such help provided by evangelists. She somehow struggled all her life , she made sure that we have good education.

Yes we have also heard about it from our maids!! They have these Christian women aggressively hounding them in their locality and even on the road, telling hateful lies about Hinduism and mocking our dharma repeatedly!! Remain as a Hindu but improve your spirituality level. Recite Gayathri mantra which requesting Brahma (Supreme Consciousness) to show the higher path. The final path shall be Tantra Yoga or Path of Bliss where the spiritual practice will be purely meditation only. This is Yoga where your final journey is merging with God (Parama Purusha/Brahma)
Stay strong and don't give in!! We also know of some people who work for us and keep getting harassed by these people to convert and they also insult and mock our dharma and our Gods but the ladies who they harass don't give in but stay strong and give them fitting replies to their nonsense!!

If Hindu temples were allowed to keep their revenue we could build a trust or charitable organization to help people that wish to come back.

Christianity is far more aggressive , ugly , unethical and annoying in Bharat while in America more Christians are becoming Athiests . Churches are in a crisis with poor attendance . That is a false goal to set. The questions we must ask ourselves is why so many Hindus convert ? I suspect this is a damning symptom of preaching of Hinduism to the masses because in effect there is no preaching of Hinduism to the masses as in Christianity or Islam.

Private Hindu temples are on their own. Only temples built by kings in the past is being in the control of gov now. Temples which are collectively built by a community or by the people of an area is also not controlled by the government.

Abrahamic religion starts with compulsory belief whether you really believe it or not. Means you can't disbelieve. You can't question. Hindus on other hand are seekers. They strive to evolve spiritually till they realize God.

It actually pains me that these missionaries are allowed to convert our fellow brethren. My family's lifelong workers have all converted to Christianity. They are all Adivasis in Gujarat and refuse to take Prashad from us, along with anything Hindu. They changed their names to Christian names and gave most of their money to this church. We had no idea this was happening until it was too late.

As an agnostic and having traveled across the length & breadth of the country, as well as foreign countries of other faiths, I can clearly see that environments and sensibilities of societies that have majority people belonging to the Christian & Buddhist faith are way better than those places that have a majority Muslim or Hindu faith. There are of course exceptions such as the rich middle east Islamic nations that are modernising very fast, hence becoming more progressive. In India, I enjoyed the vibes of Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Sikkim, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh. These states have a considerable Buddhist or Christian populations. They are a lot more safer for women, are much more cleaner and people have better civic sense. I have never felt comfortable in conservative Muslim & Hindu areas, whereas religious Christian & Buddhist areas are much more pleasant to be in. Why do millions of Indians try so hard to work and live in other countries, all of whom are countries of other faiths.

I am a Christian & it’s sad that people are being forced to convert or manipulated into it.. coming to Christ should not be forced & nobody should be given backlash for leaving.. converting people forcibly isn’t called evangelism.. only conveying the good news the gospel is evangelism. What people choose to do with their message is between them & God. By forcing conversion the whole meaning of the gospel is destroyed.

Those who have not experienced Jesus will never understand His teaching. We should not blame people of other religion bcos we christian have not lived our life as true christian. In 1993 onwards I was suffering from depression ( reason i dont want to share) It was Jesus who healed me in 1998. Secondly In 2004 i suffered minor stroke as i was cheated in investing in japan life mattress. Top hospital doctors in my state told me I have to live like that no cure. Again in 2011 Jesus healed me of that stroke. Those who dont believe in Jesus should leave Christianity at the earliest and Ester is doing a good job and needs appreciation and support.

Jesus never preached mass conversion but embraced only those few who not only preach but practiced what they preach. Though there were thousands who heard his teaching and many witnessed his miracle and got benefited by that. But only 12 where asked to follow. Hypocrisy is found in every religion as nobody is perfect. A lot of people like Esther Dhanraj, are abandoning Christianity and moving to Hinduism and even Islam. This is not surprising at all. There are many reasons for it. The most important reason is money. Christianity is business. Popes, Bishops, priests and Pastors have this passion for money and it happens in India and abroad. Christianity in India is mired in casteism and communal-ism, because many of them were from previous Hindu communities. Even today the high caste Christians of Hindu origin control the Christian church. So leaving the church and going over to some other religion is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Does not make much difference.
The best example of Christians leaving the church are the Dalit Christians, who become Hindus to access reservations and concessions. More than 99% of Dalit Christians have become Hindus. Their poverty forced them to become Hindus. The Dalit Christians had been one of the earliest people to accept Christianity. They were the ''Rock''' on which the Christian church was founded. But after more than 500 years, almost everyone has left for the Hindu camp. Many of these Dalit Christian converts to Hinduism have joined the civil services and other professions. The are all doing well. Ambedkar did not give reservations and concessions to Dalit Christians, because he was afraid that they would dominate the Hindu Dalits. Ambedkar also had a personal hatred towards Christians and Muslims.
No one should convert to Christianity, because it is very difficult to practice it and we can be assured that we will always remain poor. So it is not worth becoming a Christian in terms of development and prosperity. So if people want to leave, they should leave Christianity for something better. But there is something else. Real Christianity is not about churches, pastors, bishops, popes, money, conversions, prayers, liturgy and drama. It is very simple. You must believe in feeding the hungry, caring for the stranger, looking after the unwanted, and the sick. Anyone can do this, you need not be a Christian. This is real Christianity. The rest is plain fraud. Most Hindus also do not do this. So it makes no difference whether you are a Hindu or a Christian
The real Christians are very few, but they will always be there. They have no reason to be disappointed or disillusioned.

I do not think so. Jesus has a universal scale to judge everyone. We will be judged only on the basis of how we treat our neighbor. This scale is found in Mathew Chapter 25. It is called the ''Last Judgement''. It is frightening. There are more Christians who believe in the Devil than those who believe n God. The Devil has sent more people to Heaven than God has sent to Hell.No wonder there is so much poverty and wars. No Christian has faith in God which is even smaller than a mustard seed. What we call as 'Hinduism' is the distilled wisdom of a society that has survived around 5000 years of existence in its place of origin, the Indian sub-continent. I am disappointed that 'Hindus' have fallen into the trap of being called a 'religion' and 'conversion' back to 'Hinduism' or 'home coming'. Hinduism is not a religion. It is spiritual freedom. Anyone can believe in any God or faith and they can change this belief at any time during their lifetime in Hinduism or which is more appropriately called Sanatana Dharma or Eternal Law. Then, where is the question of 'conversion' or 'home coming'? Everyone in India knows what is Sanatana Dharma including Christians and Muslims. As Esther rightly points out, both Christianity and Islam provide a secular support system to its members. This system is not available to many disadvantaged sections of Hindus. That is why many disadvantaged souls convert either to Christianity or Islam, even if these religions do not lure them to their fold.
Indian Christian Churches are registered as societies under the societies act and the people who attend those churches are members of those societies. They have by-laws like any other society. They have democratic elections in those societies. In some states like Kerala and Tamilnadu, there are protracted litigation in the courts for the control of these societies. Since these are democratic societies, the hold of caste is less on these societies. On the other hand, the support structure provided in Hindu society is mostly caste-based. For example, a society of so-called educated brahmins will not allow the presence of a even better educated so-called other caste member. Hence, any 'home coming' Christian or Muslim will lose his/her well-provided support system when he/she 'comes back'. This is not the case in the West because the state provides social security. Hence Esther Dhanraj can enjoy that liberty of changing faith from the comfort of her home easily in the US or Europe than in India.
In Hinduism, even an atheist is considered a Hindu if he/she believes in the spiritual freedom of the self and others. In Christianity and Islam that freedom is not there. To become a member of a church, a person must believe in Christian dogma like the God being male, Jesus being his son, virgin birth of Jesus etc. The same applies to Muslims if they want to be a member of a mosque. This compulsion is not there in Hinduism. Many Hindus are not aware how fortunate and liberated they are from these religious dogmas. Now they are willingly falling into a trap which packages Hinduism as a religion and uses the same terminology used by Christians and Muslims. God himself is the One who has done it all for the believer in Jesus Christ. That is the good news that God shares with us. No bribery brings a person to this realization. That is fake. Yet, no government, organization, or movement can stop it either when it is a personal thing between an individual and God himself. They cannot stop God either. That also will fail.

The Bunt community in Dakshina Kannada is one such Jati. There are a couple of Kshatriya communities under Nair/Menon Jati in Kerala that are matriarchal.

I was in Singapore for 8 years and casually asked a Chinese Buddhist taxi driver why I see so many Chinese Christians and in his words..he said there are people hovering like vultures in hospitals and places where they know people suffering from health ,finances or other issues and in exchange for money and support asked them to convert. Every Sunday I used to have people ringing my door bell trying to convert. First time I opened the door and I said I am not interested as I am a non practicing but proud hindu believeing in Karma....but they kept coming back and ringing bell for 30 minutes and I used to watch TV loudly.

When my father fell seriously ill and was in a hospital, a nurse at the hospital gave reference of a Pastor from a Church in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi, that he could pray for my father’s health.
Since I was desperate and was knocking all doors for my father’s recovery. I met him as well. In the very first meeting this Pastor asked me to shun away all signs of Hinduism from my person and home, so that he could hold prayers at my residence and Church for my father’s wellbeing.
I saw through his design and cast him away and never met him again.
I showed my father to the best of Doctors and continued with my everyday Hindu prayers for my father’s health and he recovered. 🙏🙏

This is usually the case of a person who leaves his religion and joins another, faces backlash. No missionary, no pastor, no Christian, can convert anyone! It can ONLY be done by God himself! That means that no one should be pressured into "conversion." And at the same time, no one opposed to God can stop it either! It will happen in a person's heart regardless of human efforts for or against it. . . . Yet, all Christians are called to be witnesses. (Not persuasive or tricky advocates, but witnesses who say "This is what I know.") Jesus said, "You will be my witnesses." That is, they are to "give the reason for the hope that they have." A Christian can say "This is what I believe for myself." "This is what Jesus did for me - and what I believe he did for all people! - He died and rose for the salvation of the world." But that doesn't mean anyone else has to believe them. Only God can change someone's heart. But a Christian in entitled to his beliefs - and respectfully expressing his beliefs - himself. This is especially true when both the Christian and the non-Christian understand that the Bible itself says that no Christian is ever able to convert another person! Working in the heart is only done by God himself.

We honestly proclaim Jesus not for increasing the Christian population - we just don’t care about the numbers. We genuinely care for the people around us. It is a duty given to us. And we do it out of love. Not for the numbers please.
So what? People who don't know the Lord, no depth in the Christianity they leave or do that brings dis honor to the Lord. But the message of salvation never changes. JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH & life. Look to Jesus & be saved not men.
