thank you for this tutorial. all thou its kinda not much i can get some full puzzle code from here but at least the fundamendtal code could be use for jigsaw puzzle game.cause i have been searching not much or more likely no one make a jigsaw puzzle game from gamemaker, and the gamemaker market place they do have the assets, but only extention not a full project.

Great music... But, how could this be possible without collison event? How the system know which box object to about to move? Even, there is no mouse object to check collision with?

It works better if you use global mouse release, otherwise it's possible to release the mouse button without it triggering
