@@TexSandsYT Horses especially need salt blocks because the high temperatures reached in the summer months cause them to lose essential minerals through sweating.

Great Pyrenees mix with lab
I had a great Pyrenees years ago. Now I only have English mastiffs. They are the best dog to have around children. Great Pyrenees are part of the mastiff family too. So are Saint Bernard's. I have had 3 saints. I adopt xxl breeds from breeders that show their dogs until they champion out and are no longer beneficial to their breeding programs. So I take one at a time and give them the perfect retirement with lovins, sleeping in the bed between my husband and I. Yes, we have a big ass bed. Lol. My last mastiff, Chunk Norris, I lost in September. I went to the same breeder and got the last male from my boys line. They are always between 3 and 4 years old. And live to 8 to 12 years. So my 1st dog doing this was my Pyrenees, tank. Word of advice, start indoor training early, they are so loving and gentle with children but because they are herders they are very hard to potty train and being severely destructive when left alone in the house. They also love to lay on top of things like picnic tables. They like to be high up, to see everything they are guarding so wooden outdoor play sets anything they can find to climb up on, makes them secure and at peace. When I first started watching you guys I loved your Saint Bernard. They are amazing. Unfortunately, the ones I adopted (3 of them), were from kinda shady breeders and they had severe health problems and passed away after only a year or 2 of having them. That's why after my third loss, I switched to the English Mastiff. Best decision I ever made. Mind you the saints were incredibly loving, potty trained, wonderful with kiss, just all around totally balanced dogs, the health issues just broke my heart, and Mind you I only took in one dog at a time so it was loss after loss. Sorry this is so long, I'm just super passionate when it comes to my fur babies. You probably won't even see this post but if I can help in any way, please let me know.
