Top five led zepplin songs...
5: free bird...
😂
It's exactly like a Led Zeppelin concert😊
LOL! But I understand…we DO get to the age, no matter how educated, successful, brilliant we may be, where our brains just can’t find the right file! Our poor brain is just too old and has too many files to go through to get the right answer!
🎶🤣👍🎶
He isn't saying that Free Bird is a Led Zeppelin song. He is saying the energy from the crowd is tantamount to a Led Zeppelin concert, or when Lynyrd Skynyrd would play Free Bird.
It's a common example of drifting thoughts. It's not hard to understand 😅.
The Jaunt is very underrated. Great short story with a haunting ending.
Totally agree. Wonder why he didn't mention it
Exactly what I was thinking.
I'm planning to buy a couple horrors books by Stephen. could u please give me a spoiler free review of The Jaunt
@@aayushkarnxb024if I remember correctly, The Jaunt is about a family in the future about to use machines to travel to someplace (a different planet?) in an instant. The son decides to break the rules on his turn.
That story has stayed with me for many many years. The ending really got to me.
The Long Walk is very underrated. My favorite is probably The Stand. The Talisman was excellent as well. I can’t pick!! There are too many good stories!!
Totally agree 💯!! ☺️
Very true I loved the story
The long walk was hard just because of visualizing what they went through. The stand is good. I liked It minus one part. Thinner, Misery, Cujo, The Shinning, 11/22/63.
I was hoping he was going to say The Long Walk, but was really pleased to hear his is Survivor Type! Not well known sadly, but excellent. The Talisman and its sequel Black House are favorites of mine.
@@greysfreak1992what part?? Don't be that guy 🙄
I read "It" every year around October. Actually, I listen to the audio book on Audible. It's amazing. Steven Weber narrates it and does a fantastic job. You might remember him from the show Wings. I also liked, "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption."
absolutely love the book, how long is the audio book haha? i'm too impatient for audiobooks anyway (to my shame) i can't even imagine how long it would take to listen to that one
The audiobook IS great
@@nickconnor6078 Steven Weber reading of It is one of his best performances in his career in my opinion and it's around 44 hours long from what I recall
@@nickconnor6078listened to it a year ago, it’s like 40 hours
IT audiobook love 🤙
Stand by me was one of my favorite movies as a kid 🤣
OH LORD-
Same bro
I watched it again around Christmas time...I'm 35 and it is still one of my faves 😂
It's a book
@@bernabefernandeztouceda7315pretty sure it was made into a movie as well. In fact, Stand By Me was a movie, The Body is in book form
Holy Shit! I just found out that my favorite Stephen King short story and Stephen King's favorite Stephen King short story are the same story!
That dude breaking his leg and then eating himself was insane!
Thanks for ruining it.
@@muzwack Me or Stephen? He gave the plot in the video if you watched it.
I should have been more clear sorry, I seen that he went to ruin it and skipped that part, made a mental note that I would read it, then came to the comments to see what people said were their favourite books. Seen your comment and didn’t expect to see a spoiler:(No hate, was just gutted it was ruined and I couldn’t avoid the spoiler, ha)
@@muzwackif you don't want spoilers then don't go right to the front comments, someone will always spoil.
@@muzwack The story has been published since 1985, cry harder.
The Stand and Gunslinger series are my absolute favorites.
Dark Tower
They are both excellent.
We are his "constant readers" I love Stephen King ❤ I'm 67 and started reading his books in high school and still do❤
If you are what you eat then I haven't changed a bit!
That's the moto of the Survivor Type protagonist
@@TheGalaxyVoyagerr ding ding ding give the man a lady finger.
The diet of Theseus!
Survivor Type might be his best short story
so good because it is one of his that can actually happen, I Am The Doorway always freaked me out most though
I was so surprised when he pulled it up first! If he had also mentioned Dolan's Cadillac my brain would've popped😂
I especially liked The Jaunt
@@lizicadumitru9683 I wouldn’t mind jaunting back to the 80’s.
So survivor over children of the corn? Yeah, right 🙄
Hearts in Atlantis and Tommy Knockers were two of my faves..
Tommyknockers, so overhated... It's an irreverent masterpiece
The Shining was phenomenal to read. The movie just couldn’t live up to the depth you got out of the main characters in the book.
Completely agree
My absolute favorite is Delores Claiborne. I LOVE how the movie played out JUST as I imagined while I read it, almost word. Stephen King is my mother's favorite author. ❤
The Green Mile and 11.22.63 are my fav , can't wait to read Misery
"Misery"
Applause
"Liseys story"
Dead silence
"Stand by me"
Applause
There was one "whoo!" for Lisey's Story. I actually really liked that one myself.
Just wish they would have done the dark tower better. Or atleast make it a series
They are. Mike Flanagan I believe is one of the showrunners.
Mike Flanagan is making it into a series. Which is probably going to be incredible knowing Mike Flanagan. And apparently he's a big fan of the books which is a good sign in itself
I read The Shining first when I was pretty young. That was my favorite for years until I read the unabridged version of The Stand. I also loved 11/22/63
I read The Shining first as well and loved it. Went on to The Stand from there and loved it as well. Currently reading 11/22/63
@@ericswidler8743
I have read just about everything by Stephen King. I am reading Fairytale now 😊
The Body is my to favorite. I used to the ead it every summer as a teenager growing up.
The Long Walk was an incredibly disturbing story and I loved it
Do you think its Randall Flagg at the boy sees at the end of the race?
My picks are: It, The Stand and The Shawshank Redemption
Misery was one of my favorite books as a kid
Yeah I see why you so traumatized
The Stand is my favorite
I’ve been checking the Tubes for your ranking of these stories for 3 days and I couldn’t click fast enough when I saw you’d uploaded!
Here’s my favorite 3:
1. Danny Coughlin’s Bad Dream
2. Two Lucky Bastids
3. Rattlesnakes
Honorable mention: Laurie - only because I’ve been contemplating getting a puppy myself ❤️
Thank you again all the way from Malaysia 🇲🇾
My favorite Stephen King movie is Storm of the Century.
Not even a book lol
A horrific short story by S King is A Very Tight Place. Collected in the book: “Just After Sunset.” I think I heard the audio version free on UA-cam.
Love all those, still my personal favourite will always be The Dark Tower series ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
I loved his collection of stories called "Night Shift." Especially the oil slick like thing in a pond that eats a bunch of skinny dipping college kids or the one called 'the lawnmower man.' It's a good thing king writes or he'd be a serial killer.
Lol that first one you described ain't from night shift lol do your homework
@@bernabefernandeztouceda7315 Which one was it then? It's been about 38 years since I read it.
@@my3sons757 skeleton crew 😉
Yeah I was gonna say try "creepshow" lol
Rita Hayworth and Shawshank redemption.
My fave.
Two things I now know about Stephen King:
1. He doesn’t know who Led Zeppelin are.
2. He doesn’t know how to self-promote on talk shows.
Love this guy haha
Lmfaoooo
Misery was the book that got me back into reading after a major slump so it has a special place in my heart
A Tight Space. I think it's in the same collection as survivor type. It's not my favorite bit it's stuck with me. Despite my revulsion.
It was surprisingly good with that awful premise
Yeah
I love stephen kings dark tower characters, really fun for scaling..
My mom loved EVERYTHING Stephen King...and passed that on to me.
The Stand shall always be my favorite Stephen King book. Needful Things is in my top 5.
You would think he'd be all twisted but he's actually really down to earth.
The stand is my favorite, hands down. Insimnia was awesome too
Head Down is one of his favorites. Amazing essay
Stephen famously doesn't like many of his books as movies, and for sure there have been some clunkers, but "Misery", "The Green Mile", "Shawshank Redemption" and "The Shining" stand out as some of the better ones. That last one he especially hated, I guess because it deviated from the book so much, but it has passed the test of time and is still considered one of the best horror movies of all time.
What a tough question for any author to answer, especially on live TV: "(out of the hundreds of short stories and 60+ novels you've had published) what are your top 5...?"
The Dark Tower series is one, Fairy Tale is 2, Salem's Lot is 3, IT is 4 and Needful Thins is 5
The dark tower are seven diff books, don't cheat like that
I remember reading this story! “Chicken fingers!” Scared me real bad
I love reading Stephen King's books and movies I'm a huge fan of Stephen King's the king of horror
Lisey's Story is very underratted. Great picks man.
Two of those were just advertisements. One for a current show and one for his newest book. Take this with a grain of salt, people
I love Misery and Stand By Me/The Body
In no particular order:
Insomnia
Pet's Sematary
The Stand
Dark Half
Salem's Lot
Dark half lol
his literary work is AMAZING🤌
Everything is literary what you talking?
@@bernabefernandeztouceda7315 what you talking bout
Always remembered that bit in Survivor Type "... ladyfingers..."
Mr Mercedes is my favourite, then there is the stand and the dead zone.. so many great books hard to choose.
Nah bro promoted himself
You don't go on a talk show and not promote yourself
@@misterturkturklelol yeah
5. It
4. The Green Mile
3. Mr. Mercedes
2. 11/22/63
1. The Stand
I currently have 2 favorite books IT and The Shinning are my 2 favorite books at the current moment
Larry Bird 🍀 definitely Top 5
The Stand, the girl who knew tom gordon, salems lot, It and wastelands
It was my favorite book until recently. Bag of Bones recently took that spot.
Classic marketing strategy... my top favorite book is my current one im selling
lve read his books from the age of 12 love his writing....fantastic ❤
Love them all. Also The Stand ,both versions, and liseys story and bill summers.❤some I bought yrs ago.
Apt pupil is underrated
The dark tower series is by far may favorite
Also, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Stairway to Heaven.
Very surprised by the Master’s selections!!
Survivor Type is my favorite of his stories too
Survivor Type was actually made into an animated short for the new Creepshow on Shudder
So?
Just finished cockadoodi Misery. Loved Lisey’s Story too
Love Stephen King ❤
Play Freebird! 🤣
Jacques Ze Wipper says no!
The Stand
Wizard and Glass
The Green Mile
The Shining
11/22/63
Nailed it
The short story One For The Road. Its a kind of a little reprise to Salem's Lot.
Why was there no Pet Sematary or Shining??? Those are my favourite stephen king books lol😮
I saw him on C-SPAN giving a commencement address at some small college. He said, “People who know me say that I’m not such a bad guy. They say that I have the heart of a child. I do. I keep on in a jar on my desk.”
May I suggest Darkest Heart by Eddie Evans
I like misery a lot....the novel misery.
Stephen King looks like The Simpsons version of Stephen King.
misery is my favorite of all time! i’m glad to see he loves it too lol
Survivor Type is etched in my memory ❤
Of course Survivor Type is your favorite..
Its my favorite and I wrote it.
"The Stand" and "It" both tied for first. they both gave me intense nightmares.. Too bad the movies did not translate.
The Stand nightmares?? Why tho??
Needful Things and Insomnia are super underrated.
needful things needs to be a show. ideally like the bbc shows with hour long episodes but theres like 5 eps to the season.
@MrGhostTheBigRoast a show would be great, setting up all the separate stories of the town. though anything would be better than the godawful movie we got of it.
Bag of Bones is also underrated.
This is like a Led Zeppelin concert “Free Bird” bruhhhh he’s high again.
Survivor type should have been a movie. It's absolutely sick...
I think it was made into a short for the '80s twilight Zone
You're incorrect Stephen.
1. Tommyknockers
2. 11 22 63
3. The gunslinger series
4. The stand
5. The long walk
Agree on the Tommyknockers!! But gunslinger series?? Seven books. Don't be cheating like that
Yeah
Talk show host: What are your five favorite things you've written?
Translation: Name two or three and then plug your current projects because we all know that's why you're doing the talk show tour.
I would ask him why he hasn't bothered ro re-write that one scene in IT
Only one?
For me, The Stand and The Dark Tower.
Damn bro!! Survivor Type is one of my favorites “mmmm taste like ladyfingers”
I had to read survivor type in school. It’s a lot.
My favorite is The Stand
anyone ever watched a movie called roses for rich(I think)it's by Stephen king I believe.
The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed..........
Survivor type is the best short story
Lisey's Story is my fave
The Running Man using Richard Bachman as a pseudonym
The Stand is my fave
Any “love” for ‘The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon’ …?
Stephen King's favorite book is cocaine.
i always liked misery,its great
Misery was awesome! The Movie
The Stand, amen❤
