The Sikorsky CH-53K King Stallion is a large, heavy-lift cargo helicopter in United States Marine Corps (USMC). It be the largest and heaviest helicopter in the U.S. military.
The CH-53K is a general redesign of the CH-53E. The main improvements are new engines and cockpit layout. The CH-53K will have over twice the lift capacity and radius of action of the CH-53E, and a wider cargo hold to allow it to carry a Humvee internally. It will also be equipped with a new composite rotor blade system, with technology similar to that found on the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. The CH-53K use the General Electric GE38-1B engine, selected over the Pratt and Whitney Canada PW150 and a variant of the Rolls-Royce AE 1107C-Liberty used on the V-22 Osprey.

A colleague of mine was involved in missions with this beast when he was an Marine. I was pretty impressed with his knowledge of this helicopter. Its an incredible machine

@@Janeintheok America actually bought Afghanistan Russian Mil17 helicopters because they were superior in every aspect to the Death Hawk and far cheaper than the Chinook that requires massive maintenance. Some Russian designs are decades older. Interesting fact every RUS helicopter exceeds the performance of every Western Helicopter in the same class. The Mil17 and the Mil8 a newer version is the world's biggest selling helicopter for decades.
