Nice and neat setup. Definitely the best spot to run lines through the floor. Did you install a spill tray/ collar around the filler neck of fuel tank?
The vent draws air IN to replace the fuel drawn out to feed the engine, rather than pushing air out. So it doesn't really need be plumbed outside. A one-way rollover valve is HIGHLY recommended to be screwed into the vent though to ensure fuel doesn't spill out of the vent in the unfortunate event you find yourself the wrong way up 🤣
If the tank is filled with e85 and then left empty and exposed to oxygen then yes, there's a good chance that the raw aluminium could start to corrode and go chalky. The remedy to this situation is to either ensure that the tank stays completely full of e85 when in storage or alternatively, you can use a top end lube or pickle the system with petrol/ pump fuel. This specific tank is our mates for his vp and will have pump fuel in it mostly and e85 when at the race track so its not a huge concern. Cheers Void
It's just a generic fuel cell mate. They're basically all the same - aeroflow/pro flo/ho flow etc 🤣. The real work is just in the hanger mod. If you do get one of those generic cells and you need a set of mounting brackets, we highly recommend and suggest the brackets from Black magic race cars, they make the mounting process painlessly easy.
Hey Jasper pipes, Thankfully its not a circuit racing car trying to do 2 lateral G's on under a quarter of a tank. But the tank is baffled internally, and with some hydramat on the end of the pumps it will never run out of fuel reach 👌🏻 Thanks for watching mate 👍🏻
Yeah mate, we'd love to upgrade some gear including some wireless lapel mics... but we got cars to buy gear for too 🤣 We'll get there eventually for sure, but for now we'll continue trying to do more with less 👌🏻 Thanks for watching Scotty!
Maybe move the tank forward, in case of rear end collision?..

No not this time mate. It's not.a bad idea though!
@@TorqHub thanks for the reply. I'm just wondering if the spill tray is a blue plate requirement because I wouldn't mind doing the same setup
Great work mate clean simple setup subscribed 👌
Thanks Chris! And welcome to the channel!
Well done guys great vid... the vent on the top of the tank does that go outside ?

Thanks mate! Yeah the vent will go outside through the boot floor.
Spotto to aussiev8 forum sticker
G'day Mondo! Yeah that sticker must be Atleast 12 or 13 years old now haha. Great forum that one!
Awesome video today thanks guys.👌
Cheers Charlesgalea! And thanks for watching champ 💪🏻
Nice work 👍🏽
Super clean look boys love it 🤙
Thankyou dude! 💪🏻
Spotto the Av8 sticker, what was/is your user name ?
Yes! Sometimes we really miss forums 😢 a simpler time.
Kurt is MR 355T
Jeff is PSI 304
Will this setup work for 500 whp? My oem gas tank is splitting and need to replace.
Absolutely, if it supports 1000+ then 500 is a walk in the park. Will only need a single pump for that kind of output.
Thanks!
Nice work boys 👌🏼👌🏼 How much you charge for welding lessons Kurt 😉😬
Thanks mate! We can sort some lessons one day but your shed is way too nice to be doing metalwork in!! 🤣🤣🤣
Torq Hub Media hahaha 😂
Won’t the moisture that the E85 draws eventually corrode that aluminum tank?

whats the part number on that dual pump adapter? I cant find any that dont already have pumps
It's a Taarks 407-021-P. Currently $275 at EFI solutions.
Won't the e85 eat into tha aluminium fuel cell?
It's been fine so far man, keep the fuel tank full, and there will be no corrosion issues. Thanks for watching dude
@@TorqHub do you have a link to the tank? Thanks

@@TorqHub thanks alot for the info buddy
How do you control fuel surge with a setup like this ?
