Hero and Director both are compulsory invested for movie, if profits is come share their profits if loss is come equally distributed then next movie automatically reduced production cost and definitely good product is come out because of three members are involved in production

Honing in on youtube as the culprit hidden in plain sight is a stroke of genius. But RGV seems pretty relaxed about the potential demise of cinema at the hands of youtube. He is a director himself but does not explain what he intends to do about it. Maybe he's made enough money that he does not care what happens? Maybe he will shift to making content for youtube? Maybe he will emulate Thammareddy Bharadwaja and Geetha Krishna and turn into an expert commentator for TV and youtube channels? His output in this career path is already a bigger hit than any of his recent films.

That will not be known till movie talk spreads. These days max collections have to happen during initial 2-3 days, else movie will become disaster. Star hero alone pulls crowd to theater irrespective of the content, and then movie drags if content is better. Whoever is the attractive force to pull people to theaters should get max money is what RGV is saying
If theaters are closed and OTT is the only way to watch movies, then content becomes the king.

Content in an entertained way with the passionate producer will be the top priority through mouth publicity and then a star cast.

@@krishnarao7329 I agree. Stars are unable to attract public. This is the point RGV discussed here. Ppl's attention span became short due to youtube videos, and then OTT content from different countries (US, UK, Korea, etc)
If stars can not attract for sufficient # of days, medium and low range actors can not attract at all. Just yesterday I saw some video that declared how miserable flops were Ante Sundaraniki, recent Sharwanand movie, recent Raviteja movie, recent Gopichand movie, etc -- and without relevance to the actual movie content
Mouth publicity takes time. Theater maintenance costs and rents are high. Distributors can't afford to hold a movie in theater for multiple days if none are coming to watch during initial days
But, I understand ur point. Not denying that. Ur point is -- star hero or no star hero... ppl aren't going to theaters... then why to pay so highly to them. I get u
I think things will slowly settle and a new approach will be found in upcoming days
OTT can't be stopped. UA-cam can't be stopped. No one can control how many will go to theaters.
Excellent content is there on netflix/hotstar/primevideo also (especially netflix). So, having a good content in a movie will not be sufficient to pull people to theaters.
So, I feel -- the one and only way to attract atleast decent crowd to theaters is to make mind blowing high budget star movies, for which people can not control themselves and will go to theaters. And as an insurance, release in each and every feasible language of the country, and if feasible into foreign languages too (like korean, chinese, japanese). Then the chances of failure can be minimized. US UK ppl will not appreciate our content at this moment, I believe, except for very few movies like RRR, BB, KGF as they can not connect to our culture.
Releasing in multiple languages will also increase fans for telugu movies on various OTT platforms, and this will increase profits online too.
Like Shankar did in the past, RGV did in the past, Rajamouli has been doing recently... every one should release in multiple languages.

(BTW, I don't believe RGV is arrogant. He already told countless times in interviews that he just plays with his ideas and make small small movies. He is not in the competition at all. Puri Jagan is. RGV is not. He is a brilliant intellectual. So he is thinking and talking. Makes sense?)
