The price is actually very affordable! This is so nice for people with limited budget and students like me.
Buy the s6 lite
Does this tab support palm rejection?
@@roozensn sure.
How much is this?
@@blackorts5875 that's a pretty marginal price difference.
This is a good budget drawing tablet, i already doing bunch of art commission just using this device, i got my money and now i can buy an ipad mini to replace it
what app you use for tab A?
may i ask. how is the heat after long time of use? exynos have an issue in heating up
@@tiwitiwi6202 im not really feeling any heat, maybe not that irritating type of heat
@@erd4877 okay. i might consider buying it.. tnx!
ERD ReDraw may I know if you experience any lag when drawing with the programs you mentioned?
This is the only man I feel is reliable when it comes to reviewing these products, I legit trust him enough to buy this and I've been going back and forth between buying it or not
Great tablet for basically everything. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS I bought it specifically for art, and that 4k screen is really fantastic for it! Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects! You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though! One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!
It's nice that they made a version with the S-pen, very affordable for a tablet you can also use for digital art. I thought they only had the one without S-pen and only heard about this now. Thanks for your thorough review!
For students/digital artist, this is a pretty good tablet! For note taking and drawing is good (even tho i don't have it,but i watch a lot of unboxing videos). The light weight tablet makes this perfect to carry around! Just the downside that the S pen is small,it can make your hand cramping...but if you get used to it,your hand probably doesn't cramp as often...again this is a good budget tablet for students or digital artist,if you decide to go buy another step up tablet, keep up saving those moneys to buy Samsung Tab s6 lite! (Or any tablet you want lol) have a great day/night!
Does it include palm rejection?
@@Teppylou20 I haven't tried this one yet but I tried others from the same series with the S pen and they all included palm rejection so I assume it does.
Thanks for the review! Been eyeing this tablet for a while to learn draw digitally!
I got this tablet and god i DON'T regret it, it goes smooth, the resolution is good and the colors are pretty and vibrant, and the s pen is small but for me it wasn't a problem, it forces me to hold the pencil correctly so my hand doesn't hurt, and it was REALLY cheap!!
10/10 recommended even near 2022
Hi does it support pen pressure?
@@666melancias yeah it does!
@Poli it's almost the price i bought it for but yeah i really recommend it, it's been so useful and it's still working great so far!
do you read comics or manga on it?
@@alenjoju2661 yeah i do once in a while, the big screen is great for it, but i use it mostly for drawing
Perfect review, super detailed and just everything I needed to know ❤ thank you
I've always wanted a tablet growing up and when I saw this that it came with a pen made me wanna buy it. Found it interesting that an android tablet came with a pen too
This tablet is pretty good for your kids, to introduce them into digital art since isn't expensive and you'll cry way less when they break the screen playing with it.
I choked a little at the last sentence. 🤣🤣🤣 But yeah, this tablet is really suitable for students like me! It's not that big and not too small. Easy to carry around. Also, not to mention the price. It's really affordable for people who have limited budget . I'm 100% that you will like this!
lol yeah, definitely and ideal gateway for drawing/playing on tablets espc for young kids/student
I did the same with my sister! well a normal tablet with a generic stylus and later gave her my old note 5 since sh's actually started to draw well on the tablet as well as make short animations hehehe
Your reviews are so helpful! Thank you!
I'm planning on getting this so I can quit drawing on my small phone. Thank you for this review.
Im planning on getting me that so i can quit drawing on paper
Same im drawing on a iphone se 😭
The review I'm looking for (artist review). I bought mine less than a month ago and I have no regrets. I bought this model because I'm interested in learning digital arts 😊
it has been 9 months since this reply but im going to ask anyway. i really want to learn digital art how did it go with you? is the tablet still okay? anything you dont like about it?
any update?
@@Aiks123 so far it's good. I've also updated it on latest version of Android. One thing though, stylus is quite short if you'll be using it on digital arts.
@@cultusfetus it's doing good but may prefer to get another stylus because the stylus that comes with it is quite short and not comfortable to grip for a long time. Sorry for my very very late reply.
@Poli mine is also 1.5 yr old since I bought it. and still in good condition (battery life, stylus working well haven't change the tip since I bought) though I'm using it everyday for editing.
Thank you for the excellent review which was comprehensive and easy to follow.
thx dude, i love your video, you explained anything I'd never now, definitely will buy this one!!!
Been using it for a couple of months and it''s really good for the price! And now CSP on android! More reason to keep this guy around
can we use csp on this?
thank's Teoh, would love to see more budget drawing tablet reviews on your channel 😁
This one's probably the best drawing tablet in terms of price and value. I've tested cheaper ones but the experience is bad
Thank you so much for this review, I've been very disappointed in previous tablets, just didn't fill my sketch needs. This review is very thorough and just the fact that you demo'd a sketch process PLUS you videoed your trip to the art store on it (which I also viewed with you on your skateboard!!), tells me this tablet would probably fit my needs. Any other suggestions?
@@purity2706 This one's quite worth the money. It's not that laggy. It's the just the launching of apps that's slower but once apps are running performance is quite smooth.
Nice tab and profi review (as always), Teoh 👍🏻
This is a superb review! Thanks a lot!
This word be a nice tablet ' I like how probably has good resolution and true colors " and of course pen included although I've never owned a. Tablet ' this seems like an excellent choice' thank you for the review .
I think this one is better, I use it long time and still very clear to writing. My kids also like it to paint. Find it in here, and have promo code to buy it: 23HQCV534JCR

Thanks for the review!
I love how detailed you created reviews like this. Very useful
thanks for reviewing it ! was considering to buy it
I watch this review a year ago and finally I can buy it today because the price went down a bit, thank you so much for your review! Can't wait to try it!
Has it been good? I'm planning on buying it next month and I'm still unsure
@@KeebyFan im enjoying it, the one thing i dont like is that it kept getting hot around the top area if you open heavy apps like games
that took a while. thank you for checking this out
I recommend to use those tiny Note's stylus inside a mechanical eraser if you don't care about the button.
I have this one. It's gold!
Thanks for the video. I love your reviews!
I think the best budget tablet right now is the Huawei MediaPad M6. 10.8-inch screen, 4 gigs of RAM, and 980 kirin for $250-300 :)
Thanks for the review, have you tried Krita on it yet? What are your thoughts on the Universal Stylus Initiative stylus/pen? HP, Asus, Lenovo and iPlume are selling these for Chrome OS devices that support the USI protocol. Wacom, Samsung, Acer and others have signed on with the Universal Stylus Initiative so I expect to see a stylus/pen with their names and the USI logo in the near future, hopefully 🙏 With Chromebooks coming out with high end specs and the ability to run Chrome, Android and Linux programs this new USI stylus looks very promising, if it compares well with the Wacom EMR technology.👍
Love it so much Bro.
Take some more time to demonstrate
Hi teoh, one or two year ago i bought this tablet after watching your video. i bought it because it is cheap compared to other tablet at that time and come with a pen, I never regret it, this is definitely the best at this price point! I really like drawing with ibis paint, not too laggy unless the canvas is very big but I do casual drawing so all is good.
That's great. Good to hear it's working well for you
Im watching from my tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S pen .... really worth it.... for drawing and takimg note
Thank for the review, looking for a samsung budget drawing tablet
Thank you for the review. I just have one question, the app you used for drawing, are they pre install?
I'm glad they're pushing the spen nowadays. I think the note taking app is great.
can you test the infinite painter app on this tablet? I'd like to know how the performance is. I haven't found any video about it. tysm
Good review video Mr Teoh! Looking forward for more tablet review from you.
I got myself this tablet and basically using it for study work, note taking and light doodling as well as media consumption. Mine recently upgraded to android 10 and one UI 2.1.
Good enough for such task but can get frustrating when doing serious drawing compare to other high end tablet and also battery seems quite small. I suggest tab s6 or newer line up like s7 for artist.
Agreed with the s-pen size for drawing. Its more suitable for quick note taking than long hour usage. But certain people might creatively put it into mechanical pencil case(the one with rubber grip) and make it comfortable to hold for sketching.
There's also a white pen nib variant in the box that feel a bit different than black one. I think that could meant for those that use screen protector. But I'm not sure cuz I didn't use screen protector on mine.
Hello, thanks for the video. I have just bought a Samsung
Tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, 4 + 128 GB, 10,5" Wi-Fi, and I was wondering if it will have already installed a painting software or I need to buy one? It this one you use in the video already installed? Thank you very much
Excellent review. Unfortunately, I think this tablet has been discontinued (I can't find it in the UK). The only thing that looks close is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which is much more expensive.
Nice video 👍. I had this tablet for note taking which is I found a bit small, but it is great for media consumption. And yes it a bit slow, but with that price I can accept that.
Hi, thanks for the review. It is pretty clear.
Could you advice what apps do you use for drawing?
Concepts (my favourite), Infinite Painter, Medibang Paint, Autodesk Sketchbook
I've been using this new Tab A 8.0 for my daily device (instead of a phone). It's boosted my productivity a lot. But there are a few things that I'm not quite satisfied with. Anyway, I recently heard about the Samsung Active Tab 3 which is a simlar size, with better specs and much more robust. But I haven't seen an artist's review of it yet. Have you had a chance to test one?
i've been using this device for over 1 year, it works perfectly.. for note/writing i'm using Lecture Notes and INKredible and for drw=awing i'm using std from Samsung Autodesk and Aertflow/Penup.
@Poli 180 USD? well.. i don't know the real price in your country now and how much is the value for 180 $,, but here in Jakarta i can get that device with good condition with that figure. for me it's a handy and useful device writing and drawing, especially it came with MS office std features (excel, MS Word and PPT)
Hi Teoh, thanks for all the nice reviews.
Would you recommend this tablet for someone who draws simpler things, like emojis? (in 2021 no less) :D
Yes, it's a good tablet for that
Thanks man👍🏾
This review is perfect
I had this tablet, and i gotta say it’s really good value you’re getting 1080p bonded display, s-pen and LTE (which can do sms and calls this may as well be your phone! Lol) sd card slot and 3gb ram. I wish the pen was bigger but there are workarounds for that like inserting the spen in an empty pen barrel. The cpu is the only downside but it can handle medibang just fine. Just limit the layers (merge those layers! Ha) and keep the brush size small and stroke straighteners to zero.
So far, would you recommend for study purposes? Im planning on buying it, since im so lazy to bring my laptop so I've decided to pick a tab which can act as a temporary tools to record all my lesson session
@aysraf It is enough to read and open pdfs, the screen is enough for media consumption, and the processor is able to breeze through day to day online browsing/activities.
Btw writing this comment on my tab 9 w/ s pen
@@VizAlro uP
hey there! how many layers can you make on medibang until it begins to lag?
@@berniceleong1336 it is not totally set to a specific number. I get to around 40 or so layers with 1080p 350dpi. But lag is not really the actual problem with layers, it's the force closure of the app and you lose your progress or you won't be able to open the file again. Exporting files with many layers also crashes the app. I guess that's why procreate limits the layers to avoid those. Unfortunately there's nothing like that in medibang. I would still recommend keeping layers small by merging.
Thank you for all your wonderful reviews. I'm torn between the S6 lite, this Tab 8 with pen, and the latest from Lenovo, P11 which doesn't come with a stylus but I think could be added on with a generic one. Which would you recommend among the 3, for drawing and video viewing? I had decided on the S6 lite then stumbled upon this video, realising now there is a much cheaper version, and also just discovered there is a new tablet from Lenovo too. Thank you and God bless!
I would go with Samsung and S Pen because their replacement nibs are easy to find.
@@teohyc Thank you!
God, I'd like to get something like this. Was considering the S6 Lite, but this seems to be a pretty viable option for me, too.
Ahh please no, don't choose the tab A8, s6 lite is way better than this, i have experienced both of the devices but clearly the s6 lite is more supreme than the tab A8 especially the screen color, power and Spen if u like to draw more
If you have enough money for the S6lite, go for it. TabA is for an extremely low budget with some really low specs.
@@voduytruong886 agree i have the a8 and it becomes laggy on certain apps cus the processor is weak
@@SuperManfinflero Hi man. I have saw some of your comments about the S6 Lite. Can I ask you something about that tablet? :D
@@axeissad6909 sure
After more than a dozen reviews, yours was the first to stipulate that the Tab A without S-Pen is not compatible with the S-Pen at all. Thank you for making that clear and saving me from making a pointless purchase. It's a shame that Samsung's naming convention does little to provide clarity about all their many different models.
Because it's so bloody obvious that it shouldn't need to be said. Hints in the title, isn't it? WITH S PEN 'tother one, no S Pen. Hence the totally different name, model number and price...and specs which you can look up on Samsung.
Did you vote Brexit? "Well we're not paying for it but I can't see why we can't get the same benefits as we did before innit."
Me encantó!, podrías hacer un video con esta tableta pero con aplicaciones para notas digitales?, busco una para la universidad.
Great video, thanks for the tips. I had a matte screen protector, which they say is paper-like. I removed it because the feeling was not like paper and it makes the tablet screen look worse, specially when you want to watch movies.
I have this tablet and it works wonder with tab s6 lite's s-pen, which I assumed have same technology with the default s-pen but bigger and more comfortable in hand (tab s6 s-pen have different technology with bluetooth and stuff).
Hi, at 7:46 can I know which app you are using with the grid ? How come the line doesn't "SNAP" to the grid? Thanks.
This tab is good but if you're in a budget. I suggest tab s6 lite. Although the tab A is cheaper, s6 lite is more worth your money, comfortable pen and more space to draw.
Yes finally! :D
I grabbed the Wacom One pen and use that with all my Samsung gear. You should try it! I think its the best pen alternative!
Thank you, been wondering that for few days...
thank you! I've been wondering if the wacom one pen works with samsung tabs for a while!
Does that pen work with Samsung Tab S7+?
Fubukio they all use the same wacom emr tech so yes!
@@Fubukio HP zbook x2 G4 pen, Wacom One pen, Lamy Stylus, SPen - they all use the same flavour of EMR. Juts don't buy a Cintiq pen for your tablet.
good review ... thank's for share.
hi for this model, may i know if the size/length of the S-Pen is the same as the ones in the galaxy note 10/20 series?
Thank you it’s very good Video❤
hi, can you confirm if s6 stylus works on galaxy tab a 2019 sm p200-sm p205?
is the pencil s6 or s6 lite?
Would you suggest screen protector or just leave the screen as it is..?
i would like to use this for studying and reading a thousand pages of pdfs. will there be any lack.
My 10 year old daughter needs a new tablet. She draws a lot and I'm debating on spending the extra cash on the ipad mini 5 with pen or one of these Samsung alternatives. Is it a bad idea to get the ipad mini 5 since it does not include the newere versions of apple pens?
Nice review
Aways a nice vid!!, watching here from Brazil, u could make for us a clip studio review? on s6 lite for exemple
can this tab be upgraded to Android 10? i cant find much online around it for the T295 edition (with LTE)
Hello! Could you please check this tablet, is it compatible with Adobe Premiere Rush? Thankyou so much ^^
Hi!! This is a amazing video that give detail explanation of samsung tab A8.
But, I'm sorry in advanced. I just want to ask to you. Does it have feature translator in s pen?
Thanks a lot, I hope you give me the answer. :)
Note sure what you mean by translator. Translation is usually provided by app so it will depend on the feature of the app
I had the Galaxy Note 8 back in the day for the very same reason as a budget introduction to digital drawing but found it ultimately unusable because of the design of the S Pen (plastic) on glass. If this has a rubberized tip but you still don't recommend a matte screen protector, I think I will stick with traditional material and using my XP-Pen graphics tablet for digital.
The rubberised tip already provides more friction so there’s no need to use it with a matte screen protector
Can someone help?
Is this or the Lenovo tab M11 better particularly for drawing??
Can recommend any budget 10" tablet with original pen/compatible pen? Thank you
Thanks
I yhink I am going to buy it for my work and also to doodle.
Hello, I been looking at a lot of reviews of tablets for draeing because am going to art school so I need my own tablet and this is perfect and affordable!
I want to buy this or should I buy huion kamvas 13 ? I know huion kamvas is more expensive... but It's still within the budget and i have a laptop too
Can I know the exact name of the stylus used for the Samsung Tablet A8 2019?
Hi would you compare this to an indonesian brand Advan Sketsa? It's an affordable tablet too
omg the ad is so cuuuute uwu
Thank you for this thorough and engaging video. I'm a special event digital caricaturist looking for an affordable emergency back up for my iPad. Looks like this fits the bill at the right price. I assume it can print to a wireless printer? Also how would it connect to a monitor?
Not sure about connecting to wireless printer. Haven't tried that before. This tablet cannot output video signal so it cannot connect to a monitor.
How about Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus (10.1") tablet? Can the Staedtler Noris Digital pen works on this Lenovo tablet? Trying to get budget drawing tablet (prefably 10" size) with pen but most are out of budget. Thank you
The Android updates are what concern me. For iPads, my 2016 iPad Pro 9.7 AND my 2017 iPad 5th gen both have IOS 14.0.1. Not too sure what kind of updates are rolling out for these budget tablets, or if their basic Exynos chips can even handle the updates and increased stress.
Where did you find the tablet I can't find it anywhere and it's sold out on Amazon
thank you for reviewing this! i'm curious with CSP on this tablet, it's really helpfull if you want to review it :D
It actually runs really smoothly! Zooming in and out is a little choppy compared to the tab s7, but the drawing experience is really good!
@@Delstrom2 thank you for telling me! gonna save up to buy it i guess
@@fio4508 there's a 6 month free trial! Unfortunately, after that it's a subscription fee. A very tiny one compared to Adobe, but still a subscription fee.

Does samsung tab a without pen support noris dig pen?
So I have a Tab A 10.1 with S pen can I use a different S pen too. If so with one ?
According to samsung official site this tablet (both SM-P200 and SM-P205 which are the Wifi and LTE models respectively) have a TFT screen, not IPS.
Lamy emr pen is comfortable, has the shortcut button, and is only about $30
Please make a drawing and note taking test on huawei matepad 10.4
Can we expect any 8inch tablets again recently....
Greetings here (Peru) you cannot find that tablet with the s Pen, could you please give me the link of a store with international shipping ??? thanks
Hi, if I am just interested in reading and highlighting notes would the "basic" Tab A10.1 work for me? Thank you!
Yeah, the basic one should be good enough. Do compare the price with the model that comes with the S Pen. Because the model without the pen, you have to spend extra to buy your own pen and the S Pen won’t work on that tablet.
you can use the S pen that comes with the s7 with this tablet??
Even though this in no iPad, it's a bigger improvement to the current tablet I have, which is an older model of the Galaxy Tab A. And it is on my wishlist once my current tablet phases out.
