At the Ryman I can only imagine. I had options at front row situations on this tour but decided to do the general admission at The Orange Peel. Being on my feet for 5 hours was not easy but we were on the rail literally a few feet away. The one front row seat I almost bought would have had me much further away and the vibe of 1,000 people in a sing along just was what I needed for what will likely be my last time watching him live. He was awesome and at the Ryman oh my.......
Saw him in Ft. Worth recently.....was heartbroken he sat the whole time. I hope his retirement isn't health related. Truly one of the best. Made a trip to Boquillas just to live out the Gringo Honeymoon scenario. Best wishes REK!
I too was surprised when I saw the chair. We were blessed at The Orange Peel to be maybe 10' away from him and it was a stunning performance. Listening to him I truly believe he is OK and pray that is true.
We were truly blessed to be at what will in all likelihood be his last every show in Asheville. What and amazing night from a true legend. Oh the memories.....
Such a great song!!!
Caught 5 shows on this final tour including this one. Thanks and thank you Robert Earl for the fantastic music over the years…
Such a legend. Was blessed to be there that night.
That’s fantastic. We saw him a few weeks ago on this same tour at the Ryman. First row, seat 1 and 2. Was an amazing evening

I love his voice and it hasn't changed over the years. He's one of my favorites. He looks great too. Nice to see him still at it and doing well.
