For my part, I have to say that watching Peter play The Q was incredibly rewarding. Of course, I want to see the videos as they have been, but when you understand that it's a "serious" competition and both Peter and the caddie have microphones and I can hear what you're talking about, the video is very good even though I may not get all the information that I usually get in other coursevlogs. It was extremely interesting to see P in competition mode.
I really hope what Padraig said sticks somewhere in that magic brain of yours Pete. We all want you to play well and we know you have a beautiful swing, one I'm very jealous of. Let's get that mindset right because we're all rooting for the best competitive version of Mr Finch ❤
Having Padraig Harrington say "I'd be happy to hit the ball like that" about your golf game is a literally dream. If you can't use that as a bedrock of confidence Pete...I don't know what you can.
Great effort in Myrtle Beach, Pete! Just a quick note-Padraig Harrington's advice is spot on. You really need to step up your mental game. You’ve mastered everything else. Here’s the key takeaway: Never admit to feeling nervous or anything similar. Moreover, making excuses, whether before or during the game, is like buying a ticket straight to the losers' circle. You simply cannot afford to undermine your own potential with defeatist attitudes. In discussing demeanor, there’s nothing inherently unique about Swedish athletes, but their stories are quite instructive. As a Swede, I hope it’s alright with you that I use them as examples. Björn Borg and Henrik Stenson, both known as “The Iceman,” are prime examples of this. In their youth, they might have mirrored John McEnroe's fiery temperament, but they soon realized they could only perform at their peak when they projected unwavering confidence in their abilities and stature. Trust me, both simply made the decision, and their negative attitudes were gone forever. Remember, it’s the next shot that matters, not the best excuse for the last one.
@@ArtistPhil58 Thank you, my friend. (I really appreciate your comment.) The key in golf and in life is to keep things as simple as possible. Just give your mind and body one job-that’s enough: the next shot, right?! This is really just applying the well-known KISS principle-“Keep it simple, stupid”-coined by engineer Kelly Johnson. It reminds us that simplicity often leads to great success.
Great to have Padraig - would have liked for Pete to discuss a bit more with him … he loves full conversations and gives loads of insight just from discussing
Brilliant podcast again guys 🙌. And to receive such praise from Padraig should be a MASSIVE confidence booster for you Pete. We all want to see you do well mate, you've 100% got the game. You just need to spend more time with PGA pros like Paddy before the QFTO, and learn from thier thought process and mental game. Fingers and toes crossed for you this year 🤞👍
Another great episode -1:29:42 Padraig is a legend and just talks sense. In terms of Myrtle the team deserve great credit as your production was light years ahead of the Qs own video - and who doesnt love a bit of quality bleeping 😁 hopefully still the number one pod in Guatamala
Listened to this in the morning and then shot my first ever under par 9 hole -2, coincidence? Nah! Words of wisdom from Padraig 😋 Great pod and great guest!
Finally, a credible voice also says there is no problem with having LIV...all things golf don't have to be by and for the PGA! Golf should be played across the world by players from all over the world, for golf fans all over the world. In the 80's and 90's the European Tour was very strong but the PGA got their sticky fingers in there and turned it into just a feeder tour. And on that subject...every tour should have its own ranking system (as the OWGR is obviously a PGA ranking system), and the Majors (if they want to be seen as the tournaments where they host the worlds best golfers) should invite a certain number of golfers from each tour...easy as pie!
Great interview of Padraig! Can't wait to hit 50 hooks on the driving range :-) As for the Q wish you had discussed the impact of your caddie choice. I think it made a huge impact not only on your understanding of the course but also your confidence in shot selection. In comparison many of the other youtubers had their friends, mostly for moral support with varied levels of technical help.
Paddy Harrington is a class act. Both on and off the screen. I am his age, Paddy getting faster at driving year on year too🤫. His skill set is something else. What a short game!
Enjoy Padrig giving us an inside look👍🏻My only disappointment is so many commercials. And all 20-30 seconds. I know they help you, and that’s great. But it definitely takes away from the experience.
Pete's top ten courses should be recorded for Christmas. 🎄 Sitting with the pipe by the log fire, Christmas tree and decorations. Golf club candy, instead of candy canes.
One thing I’ve reflected on watching Pete on the course - he plays best when his playing partner or guest either doubts his abilities or when they’re a higher handicapper praising his game - he seems to rise to the occasion when needed and he seems to calmly and modestly kill it when he’s big bro’ing - only his own self criticism can cripple him 😊 wish I knew how to fix that dilemma Pete…. 😂
I'm sooo so glad you enjoyed Ireland 🇮🇪. Please do a subscriber meeting if you come back! Also, correct. The Jameson Distillery no long actually make whiskey anymore
Hi gents - great pod as always. Genuine question for the next pod, do you think the performance of the majority of the UA-camrs has hindered the possibility of these qualifiers happening more regularly? Or 'youtubers' getting so many of the slots?
Temple bar is named after Sir William Temple who owned the land back in the 1600’s and a bar was a name given to a body of land beside a waterway ie the river Liffey so that’s where Temple Bar gets its name from.
I'm not sure I agree with the Q showing 'just how good UA-cam golfers really are' comment by Jacob. It showed that Pete and Bryan are very good, but the end result was that UA-camrs were the bottom 5 in the end and by a lot.
For those that don't know, George Bryan released a video in the last day or 2 that following on from that, he has received a sponsors exemption invite to the Myrtle Beach Classic, so George Bryan will be playing in it anyway.
Excellent episode team. Padraig seems to have Pete’s number too there… technically very proficient just needs to play with some more freedom and less conscious concern for the mechanics. It’s the old adage… play golf, not golf swing!
Padraig - what a legend & an inspiration. Could listen to him talk for hours.
Same his interview with ferehty was incredible if you haven’t listened to it. Listening him talk about golf is incredible.

That was ANOTHER level of focus from the boss.
As a fellow Irish man, Padraig is such a class act, and represents our country incredibly well. Top man and top golfer.
100%!
Best podcast for golf and banter
Thank you
Thank you! 🙏
Best in Guatemala for sure

How awesome is Padraig?! Love this guy. What amazing advice.
I fu--ing love Paddy. Could listen to him all day and he could certainly talk all day.

The best instructional golf podcast ever
Great effort in Myrtle Beach, Pete!

I have seen Pete in competition play, previously, at Blackburn, and the difference in his game now, under pressure, looks more solid.
❤
I love listening to Padraig talking about golf. I am sure if he were to coach me he would have me playing miles better in fairly quick time.
Padraig on the pod? Magic!
Yeah, he's a good one! VERY GOOD conversation.
A legend!
Paddy’s talk about attitude and routine is spot on.
Great to have Padraig - would have liked for Pete to discuss a bit more with him … he loves full conversations and gives loads of insight just from discussing
@1:12:49 Honestly I think a lot of people would love to watch this kind of content from you Pete.
Morning boys.
Looking forward to this!
Thanks for watching!

21:20 Pink Floyd - _Wish You Were Here_ is what you were listening to. What Kieran was singing was _Too Many Beers_! 😆
Hole in one baby!

This is incredible, what a guy and what an insight. loved hearing him talk about the tips.
Lol, Pete was like a little kid, whose dad is talking to him about his school report! 😂
Love Padraig talks so much sense!
Paddy Harrington is a class act. Both on and off the screen. I am his age, Paddy getting faster at driving year on year too🤫.
His skill set is something else. What a short game!
One of my bucket lists, is to see Pete play in a British Open....please
I randomly watched some of Mr. Harringtons video yesterday for the first time, funny to see him on the pod
That intro gets me every time.
Enjoy Padrig giving us an inside look👍🏻My only disappointment is so many commercials. And all 20-30 seconds. I know they help you, and that’s great. But it definitely takes away from the experience.
Pour that Jameson Cask Strength over a large ice cube and enjoy Pete! 🥃
It was very exciting when at one point Pete was tied for the lead!
The famous spice bag can be found in a Thai place called San Sab, a few locations around the city 👌
Wow! We didn’t think it was a real thing.
@@RoughCutGolfPodcast I wouldn’t trust Kieran either to be honest 🤣
Cheers on the Q Peter. Well played.
I hope you listen to padraig, Pete. Stop beating yourself up.
Harrington is a great interview.
You guys kill me man 😂😂😂 no wonder your number one in Guatemala, should be the world too funny 🤣
Pete's top ten courses should be recorded for Christmas. 🎄 Sitting with the pipe by the log fire, Christmas tree and decorations. Golf club candy, instead of candy canes.
He is an absolute G
Great listen today 👍🏼

For sure we'll organise something - stay tuned for Ireland activities in the 2nd half of the year!
“It’s hard to believe but we’re missing patrick reed” 😂😂😂

Hi gents - great pod as always.
Genuine question for the next pod, do you think the performance of the majority of the UA-camrs has hindered the possibility of these qualifiers happening more regularly? Or 'youtubers' getting so many of the slots?
Jimmy Bullard v Pat Ruddy, youre having a laugh😂
Temple bar is named after Sir William Temple who owned the land back in the 1600’s and a bar was a name given to a body of land beside a waterway ie the river Liffey so that’s where Temple Bar gets its name from.
Gowan the lads, up the dubs
hahaha Golf gave you the Scott Stevens line right back to you.
LIV is an exhibition tour.
60.8%? You're going to send that cask strength puppy straight to me! That's what you're going to do with it! Lol 🤣
I got a birdie…no clue from the first 2 clues but I holed my provisional tee shot 😂
I'm not sure I agree with the Q showing 'just how good UA-cam golfers really are' comment by Jacob.

No spice bag disaster!
Kieran is right Spice Bags are top drawer
Funny stuff lads 😅😂 wish you were here by pink Floyd is the song you failed to reference I’m pretty sure. ??
Hmmm, sad we didn’t catch that one!
Lads temple bar is a tourist trap 🤦♂️ reach out to your UA-cam network for suggestions 😉
Padraig is great......CLue 4 --- Billy H?
Temple bar lads, worst part of Dublin! AND no spice bag :(
Peter. Give up coffee and you'll get to The Open.
As in an old man pipe… not a crack pipe😂😂😂😂 gold😂
26:28 I thought my man was clickbaiting
Ireland, Jacob. Not Island😂
Wish you were here by Pink Floyd?
Yeah, we missed that one!
Excellent episode team. Padraig seems to have Pete’s number too there… technically very proficient just needs to play with some more freedom and less conscious concern for the mechanics. It’s the old adage… play golf, not golf swing!
Fast forwarding the intro so i dont die of cringe every time.
LIV players curse more? Who?
pete needs to ask the questions. Padraig doesnt know where to talk towards
The actual interview was terrific the podcast as usual was a waste of my time ! Your co hosts bring nothing to your popularity
Pathetic comment about the liv golfers
20 euro a round….best not bring him to Australia, in most pubs you’re paying $17/18 aud a pint which is roughly €23 for that shout
Spice bags are not worth that much effort 😂
I want to see the Paddy and Peter show please.
Looking forward to seeing quest this year for the comps. Pete definitely benefited from having a caddie to help him focus.
My week officially, and unofficially, only starts after the Rough Cut podcast. Has quickly become one of my fav golf podcasts.
Thank you! We’re glad you’re with us!
Best golf podcast in town 🎉🎉❤
Thank you!!!!!!
Podraig
Should’ve called it this for sure. Rough Cut Golf Podraig.
