aesthetically born I’m using a different knotting technique it’s ‘upside down’ so to speak. So the back of my work looks like the front of a normal alpha. You can check out my mountain alpha tutorial if you want more info on it! 😉
Megan Morris Thank you so much!! I’ve seen a lot of people use this technique and I thought they were just showing the back of the bracelets 😂 it’s looks very nice tho it’s not for me!!! You sure do make it look so pretty and calming tho
When I use an embroidery floss that is slightly thicker, I remove one string (using 5 instead of 6) and reuse the one I removed for embroidery, or multicoloured fractionned string
For the first tip for this particular bracelet it will be a mini charm with the intent to hang it. But if you didn’t fold your strings and left tails there you could technically untie from the toothpick and do braids on either end.
For the upsidedown alpha method, how tight are you supposed to pull your knots? When i knot alphas the normal way, i pull fairly tight but when i knot upside down its really loose because im scared it will get ruined.😅
I don’t know if that this happens to anyone else but when I do normal patterns and sometime alphas the back of the bracelet looks like the upside down method?
Kylie Bui yes that is how it is supposed to look it’s called an upside down alpha because you make the knots upside down so the front is the back and the back is the front if that makes sense
Practise, try to take note of which type of knot is behaving a certain way. You can also play with moving your base strings a bit while tying - for example the opposite way your knot leans. You can also play with different types of base strings which may help!
Clary's Adventure unfortunately, as of right now with the equipment I have, the only way for me to do that is zoom in. I only use my phone to record and to zoom in as much as necessary to completely clip the tripod out I’d have to sacrifice considerable image quality. So it’s not as aesthetically pleasing but the clarity is better and I think that’s more important than whether you see the corner of the tripod. 🤷🏻♀️
Ok, that toothpick thing is genius. 🙌🏽 Totally trying that on my next....next alpha. 😁 I just started one before watching his.
I just discovered this treasure of a channel. Thank you for answering literally every question I had about making bracelets. :)
Wait why does her knots look like that- they don’t look like knots. Is it becuase they are soo neat???

Discovered the toothpick thing on Russian accounts, have been using it all the time since 😂

Wow im not early but there's not much comments and likes and views so i guess im early! I love your bracelets! Great hacks!
your knots look so straight and neat!! are you doing a different method of knotting?
I have to say I'm rather confused about the first tip. If you place your strings on a toothpick, how are you gonna tie it? There's no loop, no braids?
Ur not supposed to have ties the toothpick stays there after or u take it out

hanna Lahiani pull it as tight as you normally would! 🤗

How do you knot like that??? I personally prefer the other side but HOW
{Unknown} I just did a tutorial on the upside down method! My last post with the mountain bracelet! 😉
Megan Morris oh ok thanks!
My knots are at an angle, how do I make them more vertical?

I struggle with having the motivation to finish it
Hi from Canada did you ever try clean back wall hangings???❤️❤️❤️
Hi back from Canada! 😄 I did a quick attempt once for a knotting dangerously video but I haven’t spent time to completely master it and do a tutorial.
Not trying to hate but could you figure out a way to not have the tripod in the frame?

what thread do you use for your base string? it looks different from normal embroidery thread
I haven’t looked at this video in a while but if it doesn’t look like regular embroidery floss it’s probably Aunt Lydia’a Fashion 3 crochet thread.
Olá porque bc nao faz o passo a passo até i final assim nao da pra te segui, obrigada mt lindo seu trabalho e coloca legenda em português 🙏
Omg! This will help a lot!!!
What is the pattern number for the one you are doing
Edmarely Corral #30471 but rotated vertical and trimmed so it’s not a bracelet!

blue boy I believe it’s #31419 you’re speaking of 🤔 the sunset one?

Do you knot backwards for alphas
Georgia Haydon I do a mix of regular alphas and upside down alphas now. In this video I am using the upside down technique.
This helps alot 😀
