Jayanti Jungle Safary || Buxa Tiger Reserve
Jayanti is a small forest village within Buxa Tiger Reserve. It is located along the Jayanti River,
forming a natural border with the Bhutan hills. It is popular with hikers for its views of the
surrounding landscape and wild fountains. A 13 km trek from Buxaduar to Jayanti passes
through the dense forest of the Buxa Tiger Reserve.
Jayanti also features a stalactite cave known as Mahakal cave.
On the second day of my trip to Cooch Behar we reached Buxa Tiger Reserve and
Jayanti, where we had a jungle safari on Jayanti.We went by bus from Coochbehar to New
Alipurduar and from there by auto to Rajabhatkhawa to Jayanti. After the safari we went to Jayanti
River site from there we saw the beautiful scenery of Jayanti and then we returned from there to
Cooch Behar.
