- Hi, this is Sarah! In this video, I'm going to introduce you to the historical side of Fukuoka.
Our destination is Yanagawa, a beautiful location often referred to as "the city of water" due to its abundance of canals. Let's wear a traditional kimono and enjoy a river cruise to imagine we're back in the Edo era, a time when samurai were still active.
We will then visit Ohana, the former residence of the region's feudal lords, which today operates as a museum, traditional hotel, and wedding venue and provides guided tours.
I hope you enjoy each of these fantastic experiences, which showcase Fukuoka's valuable and fascinating history, and I hope that you can come here to experience them yourselves one day!
