Trading gold futures is tough. It gets stuck in a hole on the daily chart and stays there for weeks at a time.

Buying for the future ... you could say that about anything. If it's not going up now it's not going up. Sorry but gold seems rather limited compared to so many other things out there. Maybe 3% gold and 2% silver in a portfolio but nothing more. Reality check, you're losing money by not investing in other assets.
