Played Chain, Spectrum, Carson ect when I was 14 still playing there vinyl at 68.❤❤❤❤❤
From an era I miss so much.
Oh the party's we had with this stuff , memories of the summer nights down Scarborough, still great stuff
I recently played this song to an accomplished musician friend. He went straight back to the home studio and the blues. It lit a fire in him. Thank you Chain.
Just recently Aussie legend Matt Taylor performed to a small gathering at a farm house in northern NSW. And a damn good performance it was too!
My Dad loved this song, He recently passed and it was played at his Funeral.
i miss my whiskey and I miss my beer....
Saw these guys in Morwell in the 70's. They were great. Love this song.
this song just popped into my head. so happy to find this post. Classic Aussie rock.
I grew up on this Aussie blues. Hard stuff
Awesome!!!
I remember seeing this guy Matt Taylor, Phil Manning and Chain, perform at a Student Concert at Preston Tech, early 70's, same bill as Lobby Lloyd & the coloured Balls, & Madderlake.Even mentioned on the old Melbourne Rock station 3XY.!
This guy used to play regularly at the story bridge hotel in Brisbane. I was fortunate enough to see him play quite a few times.
Brings back memories 👍
My dads dirk Dubois the current bass player of chain and I get to fraternise with these guys on a regular basis...
I’m truly blessed
hey mate, i took my dad to a gig in a house with chain it was a work shop and here was about 5 people my dad was so blown away.

saw these guys on their 30th anniversary of 'towards the blues' & they were absolutely brilliant. Best of all, they still looked like wicked rockers. The best gig ive ever seen in oz
Delta Design hola, summer of '82-83 the year I left school, my mates and I went to every pub gig we could get to in and around Melbourne, sometimes two in a night! 🌏
saw them last year 50th anniversary still same line up except the drummer is Trapper from Adelaide they still rock
Great song from the best Aussie album ever
still rocking the house
That was awesome. thanks.
That smooth harmonica move gets me every time ;)
This was the first song I learned on the guitar. I had a version with a guitar solo on it, a live recording I think. 40 or so years ago.
Nice one. This riff has balls and the progression is circular- once you get going you can play it for hours.
This song was banned in our house back in 1971. I am sure my 13y.o sister used to play it to annoy her Mom.
Classic
I knitted a Black and Blue jumper when I was a kid, my first attempt but the front left side was jet black and the front right side was royal blue shade...same on the back.
Yeah! ✔✔✔
Wow l remember this great song OMG 50 years ago now when l was 11
Worked on the door of bairs hotel when they played there back in the late 90s unforgettable
Australia's introduction to 'the Blues'
A great Aussie band.
@@grahamchapple3552Phil Manning. Arguably one of Australia's best guitarists. Certainly one of the best at the time.
I 'll have that beer Mr Taylor.
Remembering Nova rehab

Le mec veut ressembler a Jim Morrisson à tous les niveaux
OOOpps - someone stuffed up the stereo signal - no guitar solo!!
Pity there isn't a copy with the solo in the clip...shame
10 yers is not much. One of my GG Grannfathers got 14 for stealing. When he got out he was 28 then he maried a black sheila.
MANFREND MANN EARTH BAND ....LP- GET YOUR ROCKS OFF
you probably know these cats...
Not a very good mimer, but classic Aussie track.
Wonder if Matt's a relative?
I miss my whisky and I I miss my bed!
This song makes ACDC's Jailbreak sound like a bubblegum pop song... sorry, Bon.
Weird groaning...
terrible lip sync
I'm just grateful these songs were put down on tape. If they'd been lost it would've been another lost chapter of Australian history.
A chapter, that needs a book, to inspire and highlight to the youth the talent and originality we truly have
I know! I had forgotten this wonderful song. So glad to have rediscovered it. Aussie rock at its best
While this old boomer is still alive, so too will his music.
It would have been a crime against music to lose any of this Chain, Aztecs, Easybeats, Daddy Cool the Karma Police would have a field day dealing with the c*nts responsible for losing stuff like this. A real treat & one of the first songs I learnt in '79.
