Yes, I've noticed this too and I've actually prioritised upgrading rares over epics. Costs way too much to upgrade epics, only done it once and stopped
This was useful! I am a whale in this game, and from buying, I came to realize. The cheaper crystals were the better option. I got 6 gold relics from them so far (total of 30 gold relics). Do you have a graph with a ranking system of who should be invested with blues,purple, and gold? I know you explain it very well. Im just having trouble. Thank you.
Would be cool to see where epics/legendary with the trait bonus and collection bonus fit in. I would guess legendary still wouldn't be worth it to invest in but would still be interesting to see how much of a difference trait/collection bonus' make.
This is a GREAT point. If its paired on a Guardian with a matching trait, yes its a full 10% boost so that shoots up its value into the top 3 positions. As the grades get added, fuggedaboudit.

Well, I disagree. Stats other than the primary stats also help, and the trait bonuses for epic are a big deal. Also legendary and epic are a long term goal once you have upgraded rares already, and it's totally worth it to upgrade, but it will take time. (like everything in this game) Also, it's a bit annoying, but you just need 1 set of relics for each character type, and you switch them around when you need them. So no need to upgrade a bunch of blues when its more optimal to switch around your epics etc..
I have one maxed epic and about 4 maxed out rares, you really just need one of each untill you hit more epics and higher. I've spent about one rarified crystal every day, sell all but rares that have one or more diamonds filled in.
I would rate the rare maxed out the 6th best really but for affordability the 1st best. I only use the epics or legendaries I’ve earned there’s no point in trying to buy them

Oh 100%. Epics are amazing...If maxed ;-) lol. For th mount of buff you get for them, they're worth it!

My 1rst Legendary relic was from a Chipped Relic crystal so yeah its all luck
