Yes, Nick is able to stay at the same school for sixth form, so they still have form and rugby together for another two years. :) And that woman in the emotional scene with Nick is his aunt!
due to scheduling conflict - Olivia Coleman couldn't make it work for filming I think I read so they got the awesome Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter) in to play his aunt.
With the comics vs the show, there are some characters who are just completely different (Isaac replaced a comics character called Aled, Imogen doesn’t exist in the comics, Charlie has a little brother in the comics etc.). Some characters feel like completely different people (show Tao vs comics Tao). And then other characters feel very similar, just in slightly “different fonts” (Nick and Charlie). Even with the differences, they’ve done a really remarkable and faithful job with the adaptation. The TV show doesn’t feel like a pale imitation of the comics to me like adaptations often do - it feels like a retelling of the story. Which is the beauty of allowing a writer to retell their own story.

Yeah, I think the faithfulness of the adaptation absolutely comes down to the fact that the author of the comics is also the screenwriter of the show. That is very very often what makes or breaks an adaptation... If the author of the source material is also heavily contributing to the writer's room... Or in this case is entirely contributing in the writer's room.

If you only knew what that shower sequence was really about 😬. This series is based on graphic novels, comics. The first season adapted the first two volumes, some from the third. The second season was volume 3 and 4, kinda, but seems like they’re going to remix what wasn’t adapted from volume 4 into season 3, of course with new scenes just for the series.
of course i know what it's about because i've read the graphic novels, but i feel like it becomes pretty obvious in the trailer and he just didn't properly pay attention to that part 👀 /nm

Our sixth form was attached to our normal school, but we didn't need to wear uniform for it. Most people stayed at school. some went onto college (and this was 2003, so it is definitely standard in England!)
I'm a lesbian, and even I can tell that Jonathan Bailey fans are getting FED this year - Heartstopper AND Wicked?! I'd never heard of him before Heartstopper, but I'm so exicted to see him in both Heartstopper as an author and in Wicked as Fiyero!!!

Kit Connor, the absolute rudeness of you to come for my emotions like that already just in *the trailer* !! 😭I will say, it does suck so much that Olivia Coleman wasn't able to make season 3 happen, though maybe in a way it's better because that scene with Kit and Olivia and the amazing dynamic they already have miiight have broken me lol. But yeah, Sarah's absence in this season is going to be very felt, but what can you do 😔Hayley Atwell is so lovely though, so having her step in as Nick's aunt instead was a great way to handle it! Re the shower scene: hahaha, that's actually from earlier on in the season, so it's not related to hanky panky goings on, but definitely an epic moment for what it is xD Also, bless them for leaving us on the high of Nick's adorable bi panic in which he is all of us when Jonathan Bailey 😂
that scene u see char knock on the bathroom door when nick in the shower its i love you scene that they say i love you to each other rember season 2 at the very end char was typeing i love you but didnt send this is the i love you scene u will find out when it came out on 3rd to understand every thing and i love your reaction when u going to do season 2 over on your patron
In comic (vol 5) there are two scenes where the boys are in bed together. The trailer highlights undressed interactions that will showboth. I look forward to seeinghow HS will address these issues.
Please, for goodness' sake, start reacting to Asian boy love series. There are several here on UA-cam, especially on the GMMTV channel, and there are no copyright issues with reaction videos. So, it’s totally fine. Not to mention, the series are amazing, like Last Twilight, Be My Favorite, Bad Buddy, Not Me, 1000 Stars... among other wonderful ones. I would love to see your reactions, and so would many others. If you search, you'll see that these series have a huge audience, and other people's reaction videos get a lot of views.

@@TReacts.Yeah, in the comic in that scene it's his mom talking to him but for the show they unfortunately couldn't fit Olivia in because her schedule was too busy. So they had to create an aunt character that doesn't exist in the comics.... But it's word for word exactly the same scene so I think it's going to be really hard hitting even though it's not his mom saying it to him.
