Absolutely loved this series! We have been watching from Australia, second generation Greeks. Greece is SO much more than Islands and beaches. Absolutely beautiful ❤🇬🇷❤
What I really love is how Akis banters with the locals, sooo funny in all the interactions. I´ve been LOLing in every single episode! Hearing from all the local producers, chatting with the cooks and tavern owners and knowing about local produce really is part of the fun! Akis, you seem to be a natural "people person," getting to the information and also bringing in a little style and charm! Thank you for making this series!
Akis needs no introduction in Greece. He has taught every student of my generation how to cook good simple meals, everyone knows him and loves him. He is a cool guy.
Yia sou Aki mou! Thanks for sharing your food tours of Greece on UA-cam It was nice to see Yannina again as it was my late father's hometown. We lost him last year to cancer. Yannina has a special place in my heart.
You are the most amazing Greek Chef _so enthusiastic , professional & May I say ,handsome! Continued good luck in all your adventures in glorious & beautiful Greece, my heritage also, I am proud. to. say! Efharisto poli, Yia sas kai. filariasis! Iwanna. Gianniou
So you Greeks do eat exotic foods too! Well, some of you I guess because not all Filipinos eat frogs😂 I do, so I know how it tastes like. I'm assuming you Greeks love your sweets? After 5 captioned episodes I see that you eat most of the sweets😁beautiful country side, good food and Akis, perfect combination!😍 kudos to your cameraman 😘 salamat po, much love❤️
😁 I've noticed that, too. I used to work in Egypt and a few other places near there, and they have a lot of the same sweets as the Greeks. The baked sweets, cheese, oils, bread, honey, dips, fruits, and some types of flowers from all over the Meditterranean region are exceptional. It's almost impossible to foods like this anywhere else. It's because of the soil and climate.
I tried the Baklava with Pistachio in Crete and in Cappadocia,Turkey, it's just TOO SWEET for me! I can't finish even the smallest piece. I put the small box inside my backpack, the syrup drip all over my scarf. It would be good for me without the syrup coding
@@jyll.7132 I bought 4 fingers size in Cappadocia, because I felt bad to said I only want 1 tiny piece ( I was also hungry, lol) the syrup drip onto my scarf was not good. Three years before I also bought 2 out of curiosity in Crete, still took many days to finish it. The Baklava served during the show were BIG pieces and Akis finish it :)
the gummy texture ice cream reminds me of Turkish ice cream, very creamy! the color of the Louros River spring lake is just amazing! looks like the Mediterranean coastal color

For us unable to speak Greek I’d like to see these in English too.
Nice to see people still living their daily lives. Waiting for quarantine to end here in Japan. Stay safe and healthy!

@world citizen G I'm not a sweet tooth either😂 but if I change profession, I'd be a dentist & put up a clinic in Greece 🤔

Akis - can you put somewhere that you're sponsored by Coke? Otherwise it feels like your trying to do it subliminally.
Coke is akis sponsor for many many years, it's on all his UA-cam
It's in Greek
