    Excellent build video on the Lifan KPM 2OO! Looks like excellent build quality. Hopefully Lifan takes note and starts to wrap the handlebars prior to shipping; although, once installed, the scrapes and scuffs on your bars were barely visible. Amazing to see how quickly the bike fired up on the first try! I believe that is testament to the quality. I have yet to hear a KPM owner complain regarding owning this bike. Thank you again for promoting these products, especially for those of us that are looking to support our local bike dealers, but simply cannot or won't pay the thousands in markups on local dealers' bikes.

      @@dualsportjourney Thank you Keith! Again, I really appreciate these videos on alternatives to traditional bikes from dealers. I noted in your install that you placed the front axle on your motorcycle jack stand on top of a neatly folded shop towel. That's exactly the type of care that I would have taken and speaks volumes to me about how careful you are with your builds. I have literally seen some people take brand new parts and just dump them on rough concrete. Maybe it's me, but I try to treat everything that I have with care, especially things upon which my life and well-being will depend! Glad to see someone else do the same!

    Hello, great video
    I'm having trouble getting the wiring harness back into headlight assembly, would you have any tips?

    • @dualsportjourney
      @dualsportjourney  Рік тому

      That is a tough one! I have to admit, It took me a while to finesse all the wires into place to re-install the headlight! Nothing easy about it! You just have to get things lined up as best you can and use quite a bit of pressure to move the headlight into place to secure it. I wish I could be of more help, good luck!

    Did they provide you with torque value information for the front axle nut?

    • @dualsportjourney
      @dualsportjourney  Рік тому

      The torque value was not provided. If I remember right, I think I just used a standard value that I found for a similar size bike. Sorry to be so vague, but honestly I can't remember. Thank you for stopping by, I wish I had more info for you!

    Where did you end up buy one? I have had many large cc bikes and dual sports alike over the years, but right now I'm bikeless. With a 5y/o in the house I hardly had time to ride so I sold the bikes to make room in the garage.
    I am also a motorcycle instructor here in Ohio and happen to need a bike for one of my classes. I have been kicking around the idea of just getting one of these because I could stuff it in the shed when not needing. Seem cheap and "good enough" to still do what I need.
    There are many sites selling them, just need to narrow down on where to get one.

    PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS, did it come with oil for the engine or did you need to buy that separate? As well as did you need to buy battery acid? or did the bike come with everything you needed?

      Ha, that's a hard one... You may have to call the seller and arrange shipping to a friend, family or an acquaintance.

      I would suggest going over to "China Riders" forum and ask around. Some folks there have done a bunch of work putting together spec info for parts, accessories, etc... hope this helps and thank you for stopping by!

      @@dualsportjourney wow you weren’t kidding there is so much info I really needed on there! Thanks for being a pal, appreciate you! I’m stoked-been living with MD since I was barely 23 and I’ve been practicing on a moped weighted down and which rides completely differently I know, but dirtbikes and mopeds are all I’ve had access to as I’ve gone through my PT journey after a pretty bad injury, add the spinal stuff to the muscular dystrophy -never thought I’d ride again. Never thought I’d walk again, those are some hefty odds to try and beat. I’m hoping it is a good (re) starter bike for me, I haven’t ridden since I was 23 years old and it’s been the longest decade ever. I’m ready for some road therapy. I may not be able to ride it, I’ve been practicing using the specs in case I drop it and I’m planning on getting crash bars, I know that maybe sounds ridiculous but I don’t want to go over 50mph really and I don’t want to get nailed on a moped because I can’t keep speed on the road to my home…..so I decided to do something to celebrate coming from being bedridden to walking and riding again. A decade of dreaming every night about riding through the canyons back in eastern WA. I’m hoping because it’s fun, and gorgeous to get out, and because of the insane fuel economy on this thing , I’ll ride as often as I can and it will be really good for me, I need to be out after being stuck inside for the entirety of COVID working my butt off building my body. We’ll see how it goes, if not, I will sell it, but I’m hoping I can do this and safely after some modifications. I hope to be one of the few disabled riders, and if I love it like I used to and it doesn’t scare me, I’m saving up for a Trike one day. I’m not giving up the wind in my face for anything, not unless I’m not safe to myself or any of the others around me. Right now I’m the strongest I’ve been since I was that young. I’m going to give it 6 months and I’ve got a great team of docs who want my life to be lived well considering what is coming and they show up for me and get me strong enough to at least try. Trying now and failing would be way less miserable than never trying and continuing to have the exact same dreams every night that I’m riding. If anyone has any helpful suggestions I am all ears. You’re not going to offend me either. I’m grateful for the help!
