How to Fix, Repair, or Format a Corrupted Storage Device

- 1. Plug in your USB flash drive to your computer.
2. Go to the start menu, type in "diskpart" in a search bar, hit enter.( the DiskPart Command Line Utility will start)
3. Type " List Disk" ,hit enter
4. Find Disk Position Number from the listing
5. Type " Select Disk 1" , hit enter - in my example my desired memory position no is 1,
6. Type " Clean" hit enter, - it will cleans the storage device, any data will be lost.
7. Type " Create Partition Primary" , hit enter
8. Type " format fs=fat32 quick" , hit enter - it will formats the drive with a file system , normal low storage devices use "fat32" file system , you can also use other file systems like "NTFS" according to your need.

@@deleted_streams sorry for my late reply. Please try with "format fs=ntfs quick" instead "format fs=fat32 quick"

Does a partition help with a tv that can’t read 4tb usb? My tv can read 2tb usbs, but with 4tb my TV calls it quits.

32GB or smaller external storage devices, use FAT32. 64GB or bigger external storage devices, use exFAT

Sir, when i did the create partition primary step the message i received is-
No usable free extent could be found. It may be that there is insufficient
free space to create a partition at the specified size and offset. Specify
different size and offset values or don't specify either to create the
maximum sized partition. It may be that the disk is partitioned using the MBR disk
partitioning format and the disk contains either 4 primary partitions, (no
more partitions may be created), or 3 primary partitions and one extended
partition, (only logical drives may be created).

Believe me my data got wiped out completely I lost 600gb worth of data.... they should put warning that this will delete everything....
Anything related to
wiping
formatting partitions
will cause loss of data.
what you want to do is left click on drive, go to security and add User, Administrator, System to list of user that can modify the file.
In situations of data loss use EaseUs data recovery to recover it will take long depending on your drive size and I'd advise you don't send any files into the drive after formatting it to avoid the raw data from being overwritten

@@jefferson7720 I found out my SSD was fried and that’s why it wasn’t showing up present on my bios nor showing up on my disk management. If your having the same problem it may be your SSD
There is not enough usable space for this operation.
If you didn't get it on this part remove "quick" after the fat32
