0:30 12:43 Mizushōbai (水商売、みずしょうばい) is not straight up prostitution. From Wiki: "literally the water trade, is the euphemism for jobs that do not provide a contractually fixed salary, but instead, rely on the popularity of the performer among their fans or clientele. Broadly, it includes the television, theater, and movie industries, but more narrowly, it can refer to those who work in businesses that serve alcohol or sex work." It is a downright insult to those in the "water trade" in Ginza to call them prostitutes. Ginza is known for the best classiest hostesses at exclusive clubs, where they offer companionship, basically sitting next to them and chatting while the customer to order drinks and food. Those who can afford to go to these clubs expect to spend at least $1,000 equivalent for a hour. Nothing of sexual nature is performed at these clubs, nor there are string attached. As you have also experienced, Ginza also has the most amount of cultured and wealthy people. It is the reason why even young, beautiful women would have an extremely difficult time being hired as a hostess since Ginza clientele expects a high level of sophistication. In example, they would expect you to be able to advise them on stocks and other investments, whereas anywhere else, playing the dumb girl and asking about it would be the best move. On a tangent, the reason why the man in the jean jacket nervously laughed, is that the hurdle for foriegners are even higher. In his head he was thinking of how to politely discourage Kate, should she have continued with that question.

Asking rich Japanese people in Ginza how to become wealthy may not be the most effective way to achieve financial success in Japan. While networking and building relationships with influential people can be helpful in many industries, it's important to approach these interactions with respect and professionalism. Instead, focusing on developing valuable skills, pursuing education and training, and building a solid professional network are some effective ways to build wealth in Japan. Starting your own business or investing in stocks and real estate can also be effective options, but they require careful planning and research. It's worth noting that becoming wealthy is not easy and requires hard work, determination, and a willingness to take calculated risks. It's important to have a realistic understanding of the challenges involved and to stay focused on your goals. With the right mindset and approach, it's possible to achieve financial success in Japan or any other country.
Taxes in Japan makes it ridiculously difficult to become financially rich there. I don't think it's actually possible unless you inherited some wealth to give you cushion to start off.
Disagree. There are plenty of opportunities in Japan. The biggest gap lies in the fact that it's more common to go the salaryman-way. The country side has real estate and space, Japan needs food export, import and lacks communication, IT/digital and language skills. It's up to entrepeneurs to know how to build a case, create a team and be financially savvy. Know how to manage expenses and investment, thus the basics of accounting. Tax rates in Sweden are a lot higher. Yet it has plenty of more succesfsful entrepreneurs (eg Spotify. Klarna, Einride,...).

I really liked the topic and the interviewer. Such a sunshine personality☺️ my only ciriticism is the amount of memes. Too many so I found them distracting/annoying. Maybe lesser or inserting them in mini format without cutting the whole picture
I just went to Ginza - came back home and opened my laptop and this popped up in recommendation. Great experiment. I always wonder the same thing when I visit Ginza - those who drive Royce and colorful Lambo. Many of them are scammers, I heard, but I wanna know the truth, you know...

Do you guys have a video about what did you guys do in order to speak so well? And maybe a step by step on what should we do in order to improve and reach your level asap. ❤ I'm super interesting about it! Thank you 😍
You basically just need to get a fuckton of input and then practice outputting. Look up channels like "Matt vs Japan" and "Organic Japanese with Cure Dolly". They explain in detail what you have to do.
Great suggestion! Video coming soon !
Video coming coming this Sunday JUST FOR YOU ❤
Asking rich Japanese people in Ginza how to become wealthy may not be the most effective way to achieve financial success in Japan.
The real estate ojisan is the Japan's Snoop Dogg 🤣 loved his answer of "by myself"
Need more videos like this, it's fun
the world 水商売 you translated as prostitutes is wrong. this means the service that serves drinks (including non alchohol drinks) and most of the time it refers to Hostess bar, host club and regular bars.
I translated it as “red light district “ when he talks. And prostitution when when we talk cause that’s what we thought he meant. This interviews starts without camera and end without camera too. So we know what he meant, politely
Thank you for the reply, and I enjoyed the video! Sorry if I came across a hater comment but I promise I’m not!
I’m Japanese and I can promise that Ginza is not a red light district or prostitution area. Ginza is indeed known for 水商売, especially for the high end, old money or gov money hostess club. I don’t think he meant prostitution at all!
@@Yllah Mizushobai does not mean “red light district” it means “to sell booze”. He was not talking about hookers too.
@@Yllah And even if you were talking before of camera, you should translate it correctly for the footage you uploaded. Do you know anything about 肖像権 ? Look into it.
When the guy said invest in yourself and health I almost spit the cake outta my mouth lol 😂 😂
😂😂😂😂
so much positive energy! 😁
😊 thank you
Everyone you guys interviewed were so funny 🤣
This is the first time I am watching your videos and I liked the content instantly, very uplifting.... Good job. I subscribed so don't ask😅
Ahaha thank you ! Welcome here !
I really liked the topic and the interviewer. Such a sunshine personality☺️ my only ciriticism is the amount of memes. Too many so I found them distracting/annoying. Maybe lesser or inserting them in mini format without cutting the whole picture
I trust your bravery Yllah.
Keep it going….
Thank you
I just went to Ginza - came back home and opened my laptop and this popped up in recommendation. Great experiment. I always wonder the same thing when I visit Ginza - those who drive Royce and colorful Lambo. Many of them are scammers, I heard, but I wanna know the truth, you know...
Japan looks a little different then America, looks like you can live contently not being rich there, in the US, shits a little different.
The US became a playground for the rich where everyone else is miserable
"Okane mottenai desuyo, zannen" new favorite phrase. What did he say at 7:47? was it "Muzukashii Okane mochi'? or was it "Musukashii Kanemochi"?
15:33 i thought he was talking something about forex.レート?冷凍?
btw it was a good series of interview.
That "BRRRRR" at the 6:22 mark had me dying ! 🤣🤣
5:56 Hmm, what about America's rule over Japan right after WW2 (even until today if you consider their indirect ruling by military)? Also, I don't think Thailand has been colonized before.
Great street interview! Love it 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
15:48 He said 激落ちくん(gekiochi kun) which is the famous brand of sponge. By the way, your video always makes me laugh😂
First guy is fluent in Nihongo-Eigo and I love it 😂
This is a great, great, entertaining video. For this reason, I subscribed.👍
Welcome aboard!
nice channel because your Japanese expressions are easier to memorise
15:31
He said "the difference in US Dollar and Japanese Yen, the rate difference",
not reito(refrigerator).
But he might be drunk...weird conversation.
😂😂 omg thank you for this 🤣 I was lost tryna understand what he meant
I agree with the man...The decrease of popullation in Japan can be an opportunity for foreigners
smart guy
So funny😂 you guys are great❤
Good vibes, beautiful soul. Entertainment. Perfect video!
Mizushoubai does NOT translate to prostitution in English. That is a massive exaggeration to try to get more views!!
😮😮😮😮😮
I am Japanese though most shortcut to be rich way is programmer in Japan!
You might can get $120,000 annual income!
I thought people who live in Japan are shy and introverted, but the rich are exception, they talked as if there were no burden in their life.
Its amazing how the entire culture of Japan manage to get people to put honour and reputation above paycheck.
I would consider the entire populace as properly gaslit.
The best way to become rich in japan, is to work in america and transfer USD to Yen since our currency is worth more.
An average prositute in Tokyo makes at least $10,000 to $20,000 USD per month. The top % make much more.
You work for 40yrs to have $1m in your retirement, Meanwhile some people are putting just $10k in a meme coin for just few months and now they are multimillionaires.I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life
That one guy saying: You’re not answering anything. Was absolutely hilarious, cause everybody knew he was just saying none sense.
