Besides ballet, I also learnt some new words just from your channel. The vocabulary that I remember the most from your channel is ‘exquisite’, which means some this very beautiful. I can say that if you need to write a DSE English Paper 2 Part B essay that is about ballet, I am sure that you can easily get full mark. I can just say that the level of English you used to describe ballet really impressed me a lot

You all (Jordan, Eden, and this whole ballet nerd community) are really really making me, a 45 yo male with absolutely zero dance training of any kind, want to take ballet on. I've never even watched ballet anything until stumbling upon your videos like 4 months ago. It all just looks so fun and challenging in a good way.
Do it! There's a danseur (a male professional ballet dancer, of course) somewhere here on UA-cam who says that he thinks everyone should try ballet at some point in life. I've never yet done ballet but I have done quite a number of other dance styles - I currently do mostly ballroom, i.e. tango and quickstep and rumba etc - and I can vouch for the fact that moving in an organised, expressive way to music is a joy that's hard to describe and a joy that everyone should experience at some point. Go for it! The ballet nerds will be behind you all the way! (And if you do it, I probably should too...)

After two years of vaguely thinking about it, I've found an Absolute Beginners ballet class at a studio near me and have signed up for it in the new year. I'm also in my (early) forties and dropped out of ballet after three or four classes as a little girl because I'm naturally strong rather than flexible and was embarrassed by how lousy I thought I was compared to others. But now we're adults and can do it on our own terms for our own enjoyment and health! Here goes. Huzzah.

I have some pretty major changes coming up at work but as soon as that settles I'm planning on finding a studio class. I think the YT videos from reputable channels are a fine place to start getting familiar with some concepts and terminology and having a whirl with how it feels on the body, but an instructor can offer corrective feedback so much better! I know there are some straps for glasses. I'm not a ballet dancer, but a figure skater, so they might not use the same things as us. But it seem to be likely, as it's easily hidable in the hair. 😊

Your World Ballet Day video last year was an absolute treat and I do hope we'll get another next year when - fingers crossed - World Ballet Day runs again; but WBnD is too good a concept, too good an opportunity to celebrate amateur and community dancers, those dancing later in life or those very young and at the beginning of their stories, to be shelved!

After the fantastic tour to Bangkok. It would be iteresting to follow you on the Ballet Reign Grand Tour d'Europe. Paris Oprera Ballet is a must, and The royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen has got a new ballet master. Amy Watson is the first female balletmaster in the 253 year history of the company. She has an impreesive CV.: Royal Achademy of Dance, Avery Balet, Ballanchine(sic). ABT, Principal dancer of the Royal Daniah Ballet. She is a exquicite dancer and she is almost as pretty and charming as you two. And she is an American. I think that with more than 30.000 subscibers (we are still waiting for the cake) and being American you might well have an edge for an interview and a visit to the Royal Theatre, and to stand on the scene where Bournonvilles ballets were premiered. Maybe you could also visit the Royal Ballet School in the same building and meet the next Erik Bruhn. And if you caught my ideas from my comment last week, you could even visit the Copenhagen Zoo and discuss ballet with the resident elephants.

I'm from South America, but I only danced for a year and haven't danced since I was about 8, I'm 21 now, and unfortunately never had as much flexibility as is required for ballet, so I did hesitate to send a video, but I loved watching.

Is the Odette Parfum Co possibly related to an alternative ending of Swan Lake where Siegfried and Odette left the royal circles and moved to the USA and entered private enterprise? As Harry and Megan but in a positive and dignified way? Being a swan can be rather tedious in the long run , and the earnings are not what they used to be.
@@Danny-pd9yb Yes, indeed I liked it. But being from Copenhagen, i have a preferance for Bournonville. I dont have a favourite ballet. It all depends on my mood on the day. It is very rare that I dont like what I see. After all it is the pretty girls that sell the concept, And the music of course.
I really wish I could send a video too but there are no (ballet) studios where I live and no ballet attires for adults 😢 I just learn by myself at home and it probably wouldn't have made for a pretty video

Paris Oprera Ballet is a must, and The royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen has got a new ballet master. Amy Watson is the first female balletmaster in the 253 year history of the company.
She has an impreesive CV.:
Royal Achademy of Dance, Avery Balet, Ballanchine(sic). ABT, Principal dancer of the Royal Daniah Ballet.
She is a exquicite dancer and she is almost as pretty and charming as you two. And she is an American.
I think that with more than 30.000 subscibers (we are still waiting for the cake) and being American you might well have an edge for an interview and a visit to the Royal Theatre, and to stand on the scene where Bournonvilles ballets were premiered. Maybe you could also visit the Royal Ballet School in the same building and meet the next Erik Bruhn.
And if you caught my ideas from my comment last week, you could even visit the Copenhagen Zoo and discuss ballet with the resident elephants.
I‘m so happy right know. It was so great to see other ballet nerds dancing. Made my day. And still so excited that I’m in it, I literally screamed when I saw myself on the screen 😂

I'm from South America, but I only danced for a year and haven't danced since I was about 8, I'm 21 now, and unfortunately never had as much flexibility as is required for ballet, so I did hesitate to send a video, but I loved watching.
