I would like to correct you on the 'I can make no mistakes'. the only thing launchpad can sequence is the osc voc, nothing else. So I have all my melodies n stuff pre sequenced and rest is done with assigns and sequencing on the mk2 itself (yes even the drums). Now since the melodies are pre sequenced start to finish, I can not afford to make mistakes on the button pressing... cos if i do the pre sequenced melody will be out of sync with whats happening in the loopstation. TO SUM IT UP: It is not that I can not make mistakes, its that if I do make a singular mistake, the whole track falls apart, and hence I try to press as less buttons as possible lol
So you have to be spot on for a small amount of time and then it takes it from there? I’m confused on this. If you time yourself correctly when inputting, doesn’t it sequence properly and now you can go run off like in Hama VIP?
ohh I don't know much about loopstation and stuff, but by your explanation seems really hard. But anyways bro, your performance on gbb was mental! (I already saved your playlist Human Error [genius title lol] in my spotify!) Keep improving ma boi!
I would love to have some reactions from your side to put some words on your and the other participants rounds. Would be really interesting to maybe then explain why you lost or something like that
I honestly thought Raje was dead after that second round cuz he messed up in the beginning, but I guess the judges don't mind, considering they've all been there, and the tech these guys are using is NUTS. I mean Raje needed Tech Support for a wildcard ;-; SICK BATTLE THO!!! Love the food you have btw Fun fact : I actually ate my breakfast watching you and now im in the night watching you again lol
thank u bro!!! i said this in the sbx comments during 808banon vs mataj. i dont really like the launchpad bc it feels more like a producer round not a regular loopstation round.
So raje is just performing real songs which is crazy. It is no looping really, more like producer but I still love every track of him. Its just crazy what the launchpad can do and because it is allowed I think he fairly won.
It doesnt matter if you think it was real looping or not, Raje somehow found a way to loop like a producer while at the same time following the rules of the looping category, thus you cant put the decision up to whether it was real looping or not because he did follow the rules, and thus should be judged fairly. It his technique that he(?) discovered that allows him to do what he does, and thus he should be allowed to get away with it in this looping competition.
Some say Raje doesnt realy loop anymore, he just sequences pre set sounds. However, as long as he doesnt break any rules its fine by me. You dont need to like how someone wins, aslong the win is set within the rules, its all good. I personally like the more input heavy looping alot more but talking Raje down or denying him the place he got is neither fair or based on reality ^^ Edit: I enjoy Duncans 2nd drop in the first round alot, making the drop with live sounds while standing in the middle is such a huge crowd hyper.
@ Yeah and thats his opinion and completely fine. I also like duncan's way of looping alot more, however i would also say Raje won this because the tracks were just that clean and he won over the crowd. Sometimes the own opinion and profesionell insight differes from another ^^
This is my opinion but: You can personally not like that everything is sequenced but the amount of programming it takes to make these rounds is insane. which is, in my opinion, even more impressing than "looping". Besides that, he found this technique (wich is within the rules) and i don't think we sould score him down for being smarter then all of us.
That kinda goes towards what the Producing category is about. No one is discounting his effort. We're just saying that it misses the point of a looping battle.
the fact that daddy robin heard those japaneese otaku loli megu megu ah sounds on Duncan second round makes me happy and uncomfortable at the same time, his mind has to be thinking (this kids nowadays....)
I don’t know the rules on if a restart is allowed or not. But I would have been pissed if I were Duncan and lost because they let Raje restart his round
I think if the rules said use of launch pad is okay then there should not be any ifs and but. No matter how it is used. And I think solo loop should only have one device either mk1 or mk2 . If u want to use othef then go for producer category.
Naw it ain’t hate yo. Raje did it good yes but it’s loops station battle and the main point of focus always have and should be building the set in front of the audience. Raje had most of it presequenced and he could do it because of the Launchpad. It looked more like a produced song than anything else. Well he damn did a really good job at that but again, that wasn’t the essence of loopstation battles. Anywho, it’s yaswede and he is allowed to have whatever opinion he has 😁
Imo loopstation battling would get out of gbb in the near future if it get so automatic(pre sequenced stuff). the fun/entertainment in loopstation battling comes from how the artist records performs and ofc the music but not only the music ... it shouldnt be like 2015 level loop but it shouldnt be like this maybe something in the middle would be great edit- i said it would get out of gbb cause its loosing its beatboxing side
How does it come that people discovering the fact that Raje is more appropriate to the producer category, how nobody saw it coming ? Cause it's quite new that a guy is using loopstation and pad like Rake ? Can you explain it Yas ?
raje just use the max potential of what launch pad can do and i think raje will be the reason that launch pad gets removed from the loop station category
@@versatilguy Having followed the beatbox scene for more than 15 years, I think the loopstation category is doomed to disappear, at least in the battle category. We've discovered practically everything about the machine, whereas 10 years ago we could still have battles because artists could master unknown techniques. Today, it's just a contest to see who can produce the best form of their track live. It's still cool to watch, but I find it increasingly bizarre.
I'm totally in agreement with your take on Raje's launchpad use. I'm personally not in agreement with it, it feels like it belongs in the producer category. And especially because Raje failed to perform what little part he had to do to set up the track in his second round (loading the wrong preset), it feels off to me that he won. The music slaps though. I think this battle really came down to the judges' philosophy, which is why it ends up being a little frustrating to me that the judges aren't always extremely open about what they're looking for when they judge.
"Duncan was kinda pushing the limits more, 'How much idiocy can I do with my round?'" Oh, okay. So being able to SOUND LIKE A PRODUCER with only a loopstation is NOT pushing the limits. Most of the review, you just kept bringing up the launchpad. Kinda wild how blatantly biased this was, you can rewatch this video years from now and you would agree, if you don't agree with me now. I'm not shitting on you, it's more like, it's irritating how this came off as to me. I'll continue watching your videos though because I like them, be a bit more objective, is all.
I love how you're always eating something during your reactions xD This shit chill af xD

Raje had been trying to use these two tracks in the semi-finals until last minute. If he did so, it would have been a bigger threat to Yaswede.
