I created a pegboard in a drawer for my spoils of serger thread.. I used hot glue and golf tees.. they have a tendency to come off.. I am going to invest in the one you showed. Thanks!
Nice!!!
idea for the peg board with spikes ( shown in drawer separating dishes ) looks like they might be good to corral things like We R memory keeps punch boards, plates for cutting machines, scoreboards etc....
Totally think that would be a great use!
I love that you called it a field trip! I love these videos. It’s always nice to hear someone else’s opinion on things. Planning a trip to my local IKEA in the near future, it’s about an hour and a half away but we make a day of it and eat lunch at their little cafeteria food market.
Sounds like a fun day out! IKEA is such a cool destination in my opinion.
The best money I have spent was on my gaming office chair! I do tele-health from home and also craft. Google a gaming chair that is rated for your height, weight and the amount of hours you will spend in the chair. As nurse, I know the good value of the proper shoes so when it came time for me to sit I knew I needed good “shoes” for my back side😂.
I really am considering a new chair now!
I can see using the peg boards in a drawer to store papers/card stock supplies in. With the Pegs being so easy to move, you can adjust them as your supply amounts change.
Good idea!
I have a gaming chair at my craft desk. They are very sturdy and they usually recline and have good back support. They usually have a high back to support your entire body. They generally support more weight than your average desk chair and thus can take more of a beating. I love mine.
That is so good to know...thanks for the info!
Thanks for sharing this, Elisa! I never get to Ikea but I have ordered from them. I am constantly rearranging my little studio storage.
Rearranging is always fun!
This field trip was great. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The Uppdatera I think would be great to hang vertically and put rolls of Glimmer foil. Since you can adjust where the pegs go, you could probably fit a lot in a small area. Also could see using the pegs for ribbon rolls. 🤔
SO many good idea!
14:34 I have that for my desk at work 😄👍🏻
Nice!
I love your field trips to IKEA. I haven’t been to one in years. But, I like the options they have available for a craft room. When I’m ready to create mine, hopefully in a year, I’ll be sure and make the trek to IKEA first. Thanks for pointing out all the great ideas!
IKEA is a fabulous starting point for a craft room for sure.
Hmm, I wonder if the Uppdatera pegboard could be mounted vertically on the wall and add some shelves to store punches?
Good idea!
I think the peg board would be great to store your stamping platforms and the various cutting plates that go with it. If the pegboard can fit in the kalex unit that would be great or place it on a counter top
Great ideas!
If you don't want the clothing rack, at 13:19, you could just put more shelves in.
That's one of the neat things about Ikea stuff: They are not products as much as they are systems or platforms. You don't really a closet so much as you buy a way to make your closet. So you can make it just how you want it.
Great tip!
Since our closest Ikea is maybe 2+ hours away, we haven't been very often. Since 2020, Mama & I have been a few times, but always just for curbside pickup of an online order. Just not the same. I am still dreaming of visiting & actually going INSIDE! Anyway, thank you for taking us along & showing us the current offerings. I do have one small request for future field trip videos like this. Could you please not film the floor as you're walking? I don't know if it bothered anyone else, but it just made me dizzy. Maybe just me, but if you could remember and not do that, I at least would really appreciate it. :) Thank you again for taking us along with you. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
I agree and have the same request, the walking made me dizzy too.. I had to look away..
We don’t have a store close to us either… I do love IKEA..
I kind of dig those walking shots ☺️
I really love this video!
Because of my bad health, I'm not able to make a "field trip" as you did. But with your video, I'm able to see what's new and see all the different options.
So thank you so much!
Glad you were able to come along with me!
I think a gaming chair is a no-brainer! It is one of the first things I purchased when I put my crafting space together. The support and sturdiness are necessary. I am not a gamer, but appreciate the quality of a good gaming chair.
That is so good to know! I may need to look into one!
Thank you for a great tour.. we don’t have one close to us, so it’s great to see…
You are so welcome...thanks for watching!
Enjoyed hearing your commentary as you strolled through IKEA. Very informative. My planner group had a meetup at IKEA last Saturday. About 20 of us met for lunch, planning, sharing destash items and visiting. Then the walk through all the rooms as you exited. 💙💛🪴
What a fun place for a planner meetup!
I get so overwhelmed in an IKEA! It’s huge and seems never ending!
It can be overwhelming for sure...I always say to make a plan before you head to one or else it can really be a lot to take in.
Thanks for sharing! I love IKEA! When we lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, there were 2 IKEA stores and I lived going in and wandering among the possibilities. 😁
There are so many possibilities and I always find that it gets my organizational mind going!
IKEA the best product for home decor , I just visiting IKEA in Hongkong and so excited to their new collection in early 2023
💕💕💕
Love IKEA!
Me too!
@@ScrappyWife great video!
I would love to go with you to the container store. I don't have one of those (or an IKEA) anywhere near me so I love to look with you!
That is definitely on my filming list!
Thank you for this field trip! I’ve never been to an IKEA. I think the nearest one to my little corner in North Western Montana is about 8 hours away. I could spend hours searching for storage solutions!
That would be quite the trip to go to an IKEA! I do feel like I could spend hours there sometimes.
Where they closed when you went that was pretty cool I havnt been to idea in along time
Nope, I just go first thing in the morning when they open, and wait patiently for a clear shot to video :)
I love your videos on ikea. I found a 5x5 shelf (forgot name, but is about 6.5'x6.5') on fb market place with 10 storage cubes for $100. TFS💙👏
Sounds like a great market place find!
I would use these for holding threading a sewing room
Cool idea!
❤
Thanks for watching!
You could use the pegboard for storing threads
Good idea!
I haven't been to IKEA in forever. 1.5 hr to the ferry, 1.45 hr on the ferry, then find IKEA and that does not include waiting for the ferry or the trip home after how long in IKEA. And I enjoyed your video because I love IKEA. 🌷🇨🇦🌷
I am very lucky to live so close to one. It is QUITE a field trip for you to get to one!
Some of the closest for hanging clothing you can change just by buying extra shelves .
Good tip!
Loved this! IKEA is not near us. We have to drive 2 hours to go to one. We are racing near one later this month and next month so I am looking for inspiration!
So fun to visit one! Just make a plan and check stock before you go!
Wow they had a lot this time!! ⚾️
They really did! Haha, that's why I can't go that often...makes me want to redo my whole house!
I love seeing what is at Ikea, but I don't have any near me. The closest one is over an hour away. I just don't drive that far anymore. But I like to see them on your channel.
Glad you enjoy the videos!
Does 12x12 paper fit in kallax square? Never mind, you answered when you showed inserts! Thanks!
💕
Could put washy tape over the pegs over those drawer inserts
Yes, that would definitely help!
I ❤ your field trips to IKEA because the closest one to me is 6 hours away…
Thanks for coming along!
hello, love your video. and if I may, where is this IKEA located? thanks
Virginia
what's the difference in the Billy and kallax bookcases
The Billy bookcases are more a standard bookcase unit and shallower. The Kallax units are cubed units.
Wonder how well it would hold tape/washi tape?
It may work really well, but it would be a little hard to pull the tape rolls on and off if they were stacked I think.
I don’t get to go to IKEA very often so this was a fun field trip, thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
The as is Area is that returns??
Mostly returns or items that were on display on the floor.
Which Ikea is this or are they all set up the same?
I think they are all very similar.
DREAMBOX? NO. Sorry, I have a Dreambox and trust me it’s worth every penny. Sorry IKEA, you’ve got some work to do to compete with that company.
So glad you are loving your Dreambox! While it isn't the same for sure, there are certainly some great (and cheaper!) options available at IKEA!
I was suppose to go to IKEA yesterday but I forgot. 🫣😂 I went to Stockholm and bought some really great crafting supplies and beautiful scrapbooking paper and then I went to a museum for hours. I was tired but I still don’t understand how I could forgot IKEA. 😂 oh well, now I have to get back to Stockholm again, too bad = not. 😃👍🏼 (only one hours away)
I think uppdatera looks really smart and interesting. And you definitely need one of those door mat…they literally screaming Elisa about them. 🌈 😃
Definitely will be going back and picking up one of those doormats soon!
