No worries at all. As you are well aware, wipeout happen when you least expect it. I remember riding casually across the lake and without warning, a bare patch of ice came out of nowhere… Needless to say, sled went sideways before eventually catching snow, launching me, cracking ribs, wrecking mirrors, etc. etc. Not even going that fast. You were honest and that’s a lot of what makes you fun to watch. We get real comments, thoughts, etc. Hope everything heals up nicely and onto the next ride!

Thanks so much man 🙏!! Hope you’re okay from your wipeout too! It’s definitely not fun but it was a good reality check that I need to dial it back a bit and think twice in situations like this. Always do my best to be as straight forward as possible and it means a lot to hear its appreciated!!!

Glad you're ok. You didn't mention this when we were hanging at the Big east show. It could happen to anybody. Looked like your line was fine but the dirt and mud pulled the bars right off of you right hand on the landing. Let get some snow now so we can start riding already!!

I guess I wanted to forget about it 😆. I did mention it to Greg but yeah it was a tough way to end the season. Lesson definitely learned just because I think I can cross a spot like that doesn’t mean I should. I know it’s been such a slow start to this season! Hopefully it will mean lots of Match riding to make up for it!!

It’s all good man stuff happens and glad you and the sled are ok. Thanks for sharing good lessons for all of us. Ribs are a big thing do you wear a tekvest? If not definitely think about getting one! Hope for a good season and bring on the snow ❄️

Thanks man!! I ride with a motocross chest protector but it doesn’t have enough rib coverage on the sides so when I came down it still tweaked my ribs. Upgrading to a revert this year for that reason. I imagine my chest protector did help with the front impact though.

Mistakes are entertaining. I don't see any way to avoid what happened but you are way lucky you didn't damage the sled. I've been there, i wasn't as lucky. Good video

Do you wear a tek vest? just the comment about having slight rib injury is why I ask. Glad you are ok.

Leave land onto water fast, leave water onto land slow. When I make my transitions to land off of water I usually chop a lot of throttle in the last 15 feet of water before shore. Doing this you can land on beaches and shorelines just big enough for the sled while coming to a gentle stop. If it's really tight in the last couple feet you can get on the brakes and pitch it 90 degrees to avoid whatever is right beyond shore. I preach to my wife about never crossing faster than you need to if your unsure about the other side. We do a lot of river riding. I get that none of this applys to doing wheelies over a little hole but it's something to think about

My xcr showed max detonation once and I had been filling with 91 non ethanol after that I found a gas station in town that sells 94 octane and never had an issue again, it’s 6.20 a gallon but it also doesn’t go bad as quick as regular gas

I don’t think so. I had a guy flip out on me for going around him when he was stuck going up the hill. That was in a video back in 2019. I had planned to head back down to help him but after the attitude I let him sort it out on his own lol.

Make sure the pump has a separate hose for premium, some pumps have 1 hose and 3 grades of fuel, if a car using 87 was in front of you you can get 1 gal of 87 before you start seeing 92 octane premium.

Does that boost even make any boost doesn’t sound like any woochoo sounds I want a turbo trail sled but I’m starting to wonder if it’s worth the $

They make so little boost at low elevation that I will always say a boost is never ever going to be worth the money unless you ride mountains.

I always manage to get bucked off at least once every few years 😄 though fortunately I have never been hurt or expensively damaged anything as a result. It happens to everyone and is the nature of riding off-road. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Wear the badge with pride & even better to have a platform to share and help spread word of cautiousness & riding safe. Everything’s a lesson💯 WHEELIEEES!
