It’s been a while since a Llewellyn deck has intrigued me this much, but I put this on my wishlist as soon as I saw it was coming out. Your review has convinced me that I really to want it! Thanks for taking the time, Robyn. 💜💜💜
I was on the fence about ordering this, but your walk-through sealed the deal! Also, "pax" in the Four of Swords means "peace" in Latin. Thanks for the video!
Hi Robyn, I LOVE your walk through of this deck! 😊You pointed out so many different connections between the cards. It feels like this is one of them decks that at first glance look simple and like a RWS clone but in fact are way more interesting (connections to Marseille for instance) and layered and full of Easter Eggs. I just ordered it and am SO EXCITED for it.😊🌟✨️🙏 how do you find it after a few months?
Thank you. I’m glad you found the video helpful ☺️ After a few months I’m still finding interesting connections between the cards and correlations. Also since I haven’t had a chance to go through the guidebook front to back yet, I still have that to look forward to as well. I think you are right. It seems so simple at face value so it allows you to find the connections for yourself rather than forcing them on you which I really love. I love a deck that lets me work at my own pace. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts 💖
@RobynsReflections yesss, exactly, it allows you to work at your own pace. It feels like it is a really big gem that might become one of the classics in the future like Tarot De St Croix or Anna K or The Druidcraft etc✨️
Kintsugi! The Japanese art of mending broken ceramics with gold! I had to look it up but I *almost* remembered on my own, lol. Robyn, since you own both this one and the Steampunk-I've been trying to pick a Barbara Moore deck/guidebook combo to add to my collection, and it's down to this one and the Steampunk. The art of the Good Fortune is a miss for me; I'm not wild about bringing in another RWS clone. But the Steampunk is sooooo.... Cringe? In a good way, but cringe nonetheless. Camp! I think that's what camp is. It gives a similar energy as Tarot of Vampyres, which I enjoy deeply but never reach for. So I guess it comes down to which guidebook is better, which gives us more of Barbara Moore's specific perspective. I was wondering what your opinion might be on my dilemma? Which deck and guidebook do you personally think would enrich someone's collection more?
TBH, I’d suggest both. They are two completely different books. I can’t really compare them and I think both would be a fantastic addition to any collection. However, if you don’t like the artwork for either, maybe take a look at the Wizards Tarot. I don’t have that one, but I’ve heard it’s good. Also, if you are looking for something that’s not a “clone” with a fantastic guidebook maybe take a look at Tarot of the Hidden Realm. Good luck on your search and thank you for watching 💖.
Thanks for this walkthrough! I just grabbed it using your Amazon link. 😻
