    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  3 роки тому +9

      Well... it was only a matter of time. For all of you asking who the dealer is Matt just filled you in. They have given him the run around for quite a few months and as you can tell he's pretty disappointed. I know him as a good friend and he is an honest and understanding guy. He gave them way more chances then most the other guys in our riding group would have and he handled the situation very modestly in comparison to how others would have gone about it. If dealerships want to avoid getting called out like this then all they need to do is provide an adequate level of service. They should understand the machines they work on and if they mess up they should take ownership of the problem and correct it. It's frustrating to deal with service departments that do not have an in depth understanding of the machines they are working on.

      Ya, Matt's machine is at Lockhart's now. They diagnosed the issue very quick. Those guys have a lot more experience working on these machines. I'm guessing it should finally work like it's supposed to when he gets it back and if there are any issues down the line I know that Lockhart's stands behind their work. I've heard a ton of great reviews about them and some of the guys that work there have even ridden with us in the past. I'm glad you avoided a potentially negative experience.

  • @CaptainSkidmark11
    @CaptainSkidmark11 3 роки тому

    This video definitely shows how much tire selection makes the best ride overall. I have the HL Razor running 32 Intermediators, which would be a cake walk on most of these conditions. Yeah I still get stuck, but most of the time on these new trails, I am the trail blazer and set the bar for those to follow!!! Just giving an honest opinion. These new rides need the correct tire to do these trails. Lets just say tire setup and a full 4 wheel drive can be the difference between a fun time and a pain in the ass time. Cheers

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  3 роки тому

      Ya, tire choice is super important. For the trails we ride, especially this time of year when things are frozen, the Maxxis Carnivores and similar tires seem to work best. Intimidators actually work very poorly in our experience when the ground is frozen, they don't hook up well. You'll see what I mean in a future upload. At the end of the day there aren't any tires out that are perfect, it's always a trade off. If they do well on the hard pack and the icy climbs they struggle in the silt and the deeper mud, etc...

    Hello- Love your videos, and I am SO glad you are back on the trail again! However, there is one thing I want to ask about, and that is winch safety. Other videos I watch about winch operation always stress use of gloves, mats, etc. But your group seems to be pretty cavalier about winch operations, in that people are standing right next to the cable under stress, no gloves, used, etc. Have you ever had any winching mishaps? Please understand I am not criticizing, it's just that with my past military winching experience, and the emphasis on potential danger on other channels, I am just really concerned about everyone's safety! Thanks again!

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  3 роки тому +2

      Hey Majerstud, stoked you enjoy the videos! As for winching safety, we don't practice "winch fear" so to speak. We are quite safe even though it doesn't look like it. We have all been doing this for a long time but experience is not an excuse for complacency by any means. Your points are all understandable. I know you are not criticizing. I'll answer the best I can. In regards to gloves and weight mats, we use mostly synthetic line, you don't actually need to worry about gloves using it which is one of its best features, it will not cut you, also, when it snaps it will not cut you in half like a metal cable could if you were trying to move a freight train with it and it snapped. Glove use comes with risks also, a lack of feel can cause pinch injuries and a glove can get caught in a line too. When synthetic line snaps under heavy load it can hit you but it will likely not hurt you unless it strikes you directly in the eye or something. Also, often the winching we are doing is not "high load" the winch and the cable are nowhere near being maxed out. Usually we use the winch to pull ourselves forward when the grip isnt there for the tires alone to handle it. These machines also don't weigh close to as much as a Jeep, Pickup or Military Truck. We have been lucky enough to never have any serious winch injuries and I hope we never do. We are far from reckless but we are also far from overly cautious. I'd like to think we hold a middle ground. In the next video upload you will see a high strain winch scenario with snatch blocks and metal cable. You will see how cautious we all get in that video when we are doing a high load pull. Many of my justifications and answers are far from perfect and I will say that you should do your best to follow all safety precautions when you ride even if we don't always do so. Hope that's an adequate answer. Great question!

      As many of you guys know I consider the CF Moto brand a "B" grade. I feel they don't stand behind their product, don't value customers, don't honor their warranty promises, have poor availability on parts, a weak dealer network and poor aftermarket support. I don't feel the build quality is on par to offer long term reliability with the type of use we put them through. I would love to be proven wrong though. I'd love to have one in our crew to give it a real test but none of the local CF Moto dealers will trust us with a loaner unit after they let us use a few a couple seasons back.... they said we were reckless and abusive. The funny thing is we were being really gentle with them compared to what we usually do. No one in our crew would buy one so that's why you don't see them riding with us.

      Hey man, I don't want it to seem like this is normal treatment. This was an isolated issue, the dealer he was going to was not doing their part. They were not competent and did not treat him responsibly. The issue was quickly corrected by a reputable dealership and he texted me yesterday saying he took the machine out on the weekend and the 4X4 is now working flawlessly. This was an issue the original dealer should have solved quickly but they were the ones who failed over and over. As we all know, there are better dealerships and worse ones, the key is to find one that treats you fairly and knows the products. Stoked you enjoyed the video Chris!! One of our buddies has an RMAX on order but we are not sure when it will finally get here. He ordered it a while back but it keeps being delayed. Hopefully we can get one out on the trails soon! We are all excited to see how it does.

      Hey man, not sure if they make a CF Moto version but they offer multiple models on their website. Check out Razorback Offroad online.

    I'm really looking into the maverick sport dps 1000r but after seeing the 4wd issues on the xmr I'm skeptical about it. Is this a know common issue?

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  3 роки тому +1

      Don't be worried. It's a very isolated incident here. This is not normal. They are actually very reliable machines. This recurrent issue has been caused by an incompetent dealership servicing the machine.

      I have a 2018 Can Am 800 trail with the sport suspension. So far it’s been a very solid and reliable machine. The visco lock QE worked great for about 2000 miles, but I did get into some rough terrain and messed up the clutches in mine. No fault to the machine, just rough terrain in Tennessee. I rebuilt the front diff with a SuperATV pin locker. So far it seems to be a good budget level upgrade.

    I’m late to the party. But did they ever figure out why the 4 wheel drive wasn’t working on the Canam

    On the Can-Am sometimes you need to upgrade your switches because the switches do not like the cold

      The new dealership he took it to diagnosed the issue. It was an internal diff issue.

    What's the beep I hear the xmr Sport about or trying to say? Part of the 4x4 not working?

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  3 роки тому

      Which beep? The beep the machine makes when it's coming out of the creek near the end of the video? That's the machine's ECU finally realizing the 4X4 isn't working at the end of the day, lol.

    Did u guys have a falling out with guys who own where Bob's elbow is? Haven't seen it all season lol.

      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  3 роки тому

      I wouldn't call it a falling out. There is no hate or anything like that. We still talk to those guys but they don't like to ride with us anymore by the looks of it. They never come out when we invite them and they never invite us out for rides. Locally we have a bit of a reputation for being reckless and extreme. I think that some of the guys also don't like being on video.

      @@AdrenalineJunkieProd Yep totally get it. My group has a little bit of reputation also and we don't get invited to go other places to ride ver often either.
