Here are the six misconceptions we discussed
1. Once you get on a plane you never have to do a tax from in SA again
2. If you go through to process of financial immigration then you are automatically a non-resident
3. Residents and non-residents are taxed the same
4. You can become non-resident without becoming resident somewhere else (Dubai)
5. If you tick the box on your tax form that you became non-resident during the year then the process is complete
6. SARS will never find me
