    I love to hear that someone farming in this way is actually producing a better, more sustainable profit, than the ‘conventional’ farms in the area!☮️🌱🌎

    Use seed bombs / seed balls too for planting fruit shrubs, trees . You can also use vegetable seeds in the seed balls

    Very interesting, I live next to a small forest in the North Eastern United States. I wonder how to get started with something like this.

      If the property isn’t owned by you, then you might call it “ guerrilla” gardening. 🌻
      Just start spreading seeds and planting stuff!🌈🌎

    They have had food forrests for years. I have, at least, been watching their videos and reading books on that side of the world for more than 10 years. It is just starting in the US.

    I prioritize natives first to build a foundation then I keep adding food trees and plants and the front of my home is almost exclusively ornamental. I don't do medicinal plants since I think most are naturally medicinal anyway. I have observed in my years that diversity has more value than anything but there are many purists out there.

    Are there are any countries in Europe which are particularly good for a food forest from a climate perspective?

  • @CRHall-ud9mq
    @CRHall-ud9mq 3 роки тому +6

    Variety, yes! However, certain species are invasive and some simply not compatible by nature, which is something else very important to learn to understand, where and how, when working with sister nature, mother Earth; diligently watch and listen and we learn :-)

    • @woutervaneck8822
      @woutervaneck8822 3 роки тому +3

      Food forestry is nowhere possible without using useful exotic species (same with your meals today). The good news: most exotic species are simply not invasive. So it is better not exaggerate xenophobia. Just do not to plant those few invasive species and enjoy the majority of exotic species.

    • @jackson8085
      @jackson8085 2 роки тому

      There is no such thing as a species that is "not compatible with nature". This is an oxymoron.

    Nice to see, and good for the earth. But it is not feasible without donations and many volunteers. I'm afraid it won't come from hobby farming. We will continue to need agriculture to feed the world's population.
