No way, I just got this same exact monitor recently as well then this pops up on my UA-cam 😅🍻 Have always been stuck on 1080p/60Fps until now.. It's absolutely unreal how crisp and clear it is.. it feels more like you're looking through a window instead of staring at a screen.
Thanks a lot for the video! Is it better than the LG UltraGear 27GP95RP-B? I'm between these two and I don't know which one to buy, they look pretty much the same to me but I'm not an expert
@@RLBSynix I chose the LG UltraGear and I must say, so far I am happy with it. It is not out of this world, but if you have an xbox/ps5 it is more than enough. If you want to stream sports games tho, it is not ideal, I do not know if another gaming monitor in this price range would be any better. Inconclusion for gaming it is great, I get good FPS and graphics are good, no tearing or anything, however for streaming sports its so so.
Do you have any recommendations on what are the best settings to use for this monitor? Ratings usually have them but they haven't reviewed this unit unfortunately 😕 thanks!
@@RAAMAGEDDON Yeah it looks like we have hit a dead end... I use mine on the warm colour preset as it has a wider colour gamut, I generally run the brightness around 20 and it looks pretty good. Unfortunately there's no sharpness adjustment on these AOC monitors! I have to turn on the HDR setting to increase the sharpness 🤷🏼♂️ oh and I find Gemma setting 1 to be the best balance 👍🏼
@@jakirhaque4891 There's a 3.5mm headphone jack near the HDMI ports on the back of the monitor, just run that to a pair of desktop speakers 👍🏼 I currently have mine connected through the jack to a Hisense 2.1 audio system and it sounds pretty good. Are you using the monitor with a console or PC?
I bought this the other day and only problem for me is no speaker's. I was already aware but if feels weird and jarring no sound coming from a screen unless headphones are used. How can I connect speakers to this monitor?
I just built a 4090, i9-13900k build and have a 280hz 1440p monitor. Do you think I would benefit from switching to this monitor? Is it a huge difference?
Damn it. 3 years ago, when I was looking for a 4k 144hz+ monitor, I would be happy to pay less than 500 bucks. If it is made of quality parts and last 3+ years, it is a very attractive deal. It probably is the cheapest 4k 160hz display. I hope other brands follow. Gaming 4k displays lost very little in price over the last 5 years. And it will definitely slow down adoption of 4k displays. But on the other hand, given insane video card prices, it might be for the better. A video card that runs games comfortably costs like a very solid gaming laptop. Fewer and fewer people can afford those. And popularity of qhd displays shows what will be the most popular in the next few years: mid tier GPUs+ QHD IPS displays or QHD OLED displays.
I'd definitely say the m28u. There isn't a huge difference. I bought the AOC monitor 4 days ago only because the m28u was out of stock in currys. The main differences would be that the M28u is a bit more vibrant and has speakers. The AOC runs upto 160htz depending on the game and the m28u runs at 120htz or 144 htz max (AOC is more basically). I wouldn't say the AOC is bad, it's really really good but I personally don't like the fact that it doesn't have speakers. Sometimes you just want to watch something with a friend or family member and you can't hear anything. I'm currently trying to figure out how to add speakers. So far from my knowledge the AOC doesn't have a headphone jack or proper USB port. So overall I would say the m28u all day!

@ alr, i have an rtx 3080 and i only do gaming on my PC. Idk if i should buy a 4k or 2k monitor. What do you think?
You can configure 4k 144hz on Xbox series x 🤔

Hmmm at this size, I think 2k is more than enough. However if you really wanna use that graphics power, 4k will help you get there!
come on mate, if you're on 4090 and not 4k, you basically wasting all ur horsepower, move to 4k asap
I'm new to computer gaming guys, Can somebody please tell me how I could connect this to speakers or suggest any?
I saw a similar monitor to this also aoc but u27g10 4k 160hz. Are they the same in performance just diff models?
where can i get one for under £50?
Skskksksksksksksk! I may know a guy who knows a guy!
If I want to console game how do I hook up speakers to it???
Need to know this too
@slwpwp9502 you'd have to get a hdmi splitter which would reduce the framerate to 60fps at 4k unless you can find one that'll do 4k120
